Why is Game Freak so lazy
They're only partially lazy. The other part is pure incompetence.
Because the last time they put their hearts and souls into something and created some of the best games in the series, people hated it. So why try? The public doesn't deserve good pokemon games because of how they responded to Gen V.
they have to push it out in time with the garbage anime, so yes. It is a rush job.
First versions are always rushed. Especially SS considering it hasn't even been a year since LGPE and they're also working on Town. I don't think they even have enough employees to split between three projects.

Why are they mainline games never outsourced to other studios? Battle Revolution from 10 years ago had more impressive animations/graphics by far
