BOTW 2

Is Nintendo finally gonna get it right?

most likely, the art direction is already a solid 10

they where gonna use the same world so no

what does it mean in english?

>the art direction is already a solid 10
>discount ghibli a 10/10
cel shading got boring after WW introduced it

go fap to some brown gay shit then you fucking loser

They need to get rid of that tedious as fuck weapon degradation. If they want to force you to use different weapons they should improve their enemy type variety and enemy AI.

While I appreciate the more ambient music in BOTW I hope this time around there's a bigger emphasis on the music.

If they're gonna do voice acting then go all out and give me a proper narrative and presentation for the story. Not the optional piece meal thing they did the first time around.

Last, but not least is proper dungeons.

It means that they will use the same map that they used in BOTW 1 in BOTW 2. And that means they are not doing everything right

if that's the case we don't know the setting yet, everyone is just assuming things because it's a sequel but some theorize that it might be set in the sky

>pleb

>If they're gonna do voice acting then go all out and give me a proper narrative and presentation for the story. Not the optional piece meal thing they did the first time around.
They already did flashbacks, I think this time they're going to emphasize interesting new characters alive in the present, like Sidon, the Gerudo princess, and the cocky Ruto guy who didn't get enough screentime. All we need is a waifu and we're set.

Shooting for a 100 instead of a 97? Maybe.

The announcement got me playing this game for the first time and it’s everything people hyped it up to be.

It’s the closest thing to ghibli we’ve seen in games though

Ni no Kuni?

Honestly my only real complaint with BOTW is that the world is massive and there's not much of interest to actually do. Exploring the world by itself isn't all that fun after the first few hours of it, and there's no real reward for doing.

All shitposting aside, if they make improvements in areas people complained about, this could be a legit 10/10 for me. Rework the weapon system, maybe have the ability to repair weapons or some shit like that. Remove slipping in the rain. Traditional dungeons with unique bosses. If they do dungeons, I want a combination of the traditional style, with the freedom of Hyrule Castle. Populate the world more. Small improvements could make this one of the best games.

Slipping in the rain is such bullshit; especially since the climbers gear specifically says that the gloves have grip to prevent slipping.

Unless this is just a cash grab, using the same map pretty much means they can focus almost all their resources on adding a shit ton new locations, gamplay elements (blight powers?), and enemies, and changing the map up enough that it feels like time has passed rather than glorified DLC.
Like imagine 10-20 dungeons the size of Hyrule Castle from BotW 1. Fast travel could maybe just be "shiekah pads" so you don't need to have some lame motion control shrine attached to it.

>Art is a 10
NO FUCKING WAY
It's better than SS for sure, but its still crappy.
-Link with webbed toes
-Rito with zero individual feathers
-Disgusting shading

Cel-shaded has never been the way to go for Zelda.

Go back to fucking OoT, MM, Smash, SCII, TP, Hyrule Warriors realistic style.

You can keep it all bright and colorful, but this cel-shading shit has got to go.

Why did they fuck up the tunic?
Why didnt they just stay with this simple design insteas of making it a long down sword.
They Made it unwearble.

The thing that disappoints me the most in the game is the enemy and sublocation variety, they're rather poor. Overworld is fantastic and there's enough not-grassland available to keep me interested, but there aren't enough ancient ruins, real dungeons, or sprawling caves as there should be. And no darknuts? Come on!
But I think we're going to see a huge step forward in this sequel, and although it won't get the same high reviews because journos are hacks (It DoEsN'T ChAnGe EnOuGh uP 8.9/10), it may end up as the superior game, and could even surpass Ocarina or even Majora as the best in the series, Nintendo is that close.

>game is the same no dungeons 1 or 2 actual sidequests with more depth than 'stand over there congrats you got a consumable' but now with coop
No but it'll have coop multiplayer which is all the shareholders care about.

It's obviously going to have an underground that you access underneath Hyrule Castle.

All I need is dungeons, maybe some traditional items, and a good story

>whatwegotwhatwewanted.jpg

>realistic style
There is literally nothing stylish about realistic graphics. Please dont tell me you fell for the realism meme

The art direction is the only thing BotW has going for it.
I don't like the new direction of the Zelda series with these BotW games.

One would hope, but I don't trust Aonuma.

I literally just beat BOTW like 20 minutes ago.
I got all max health foods, stamina options, and attack ups thinking Ganon was gonna be hard and wound up literally raping his fucking face. I mean seriously a group of Bokoblin's took my health down faster than he did.
Either then that it was a pretty damn good game.

depends on how close they stick to pic related

I am NOT talking about disgusting western realistic.
I'm talking about Metroid Prime, Mario Odyessy, Super Smash Bros realistic.

the fuck? clearly you missed the blatant ghibli knockoff game called Ni No Kuni. shiiiit, there's even Jade Cocoon on ps1. c'mon son

>There is literally nothing stylish about realistic graphics.
What user is talking about is bringing back the same art style that was in OoT, MM and maybe TP. The problem though is it means we would be back in that time period, Ninitendo wants to change it up to let you know that you're not playing Oot 15.

Here's what to fix on BOTW 2:

1. Make an unskipable anything, ANYTHING.
2. It takes me around 10 hours to hear Zelda talk shit before I can finally start and finally move Link.
3. Then I have see the old fucking man fly where I am every fucking time, fuck off. I don't even remember if that's skipable but stop.
4. The fucking towers, dear god. I have to put the tablet in and wait every time as it opens and unlock the map - unskipable bullshit. STOP!
5. The early "dungeons" you have to wait 30 minutes as the fucking power-ups "download" into the tablet. UNSKIPABLE - STOP!
6. The lynels become a joke after a certain time and I need stronger monsters, make them. Heck, even gold lynels are easy.
7. The tests of strength were fun but otherwise too many of them.
8. NO MOTION CONTROLS. NO MOTION CONTROLS. DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE!!
9. Horses are dumb, give one I can keep, that's it.
10. NERF COOKING.

They haven't gotten everything right since OoT. What makes you think this will be any different?
