Thief is the more based of the core classes in any RPG. Change my mind if you think otherwise

Paladin = Priest > Barbarian = Knight > Wizard > Thief > Warlock > Monk

Necromancers ranking depends completely on the quantity of skeletons you can make. The more skeletons the better.

The central ability of the class is just a big nuke they drop after charging up for a few turns.

>wanting to be a puny thief and hiding in the corner and stabbing people in the back
>not wanting to be the chad barbarian hacking his way through hordes of goblins and ghouls whilst chomping on mutton
what are you gay?

I should really get into this but I'm so used to roguelikes being being these lightweight small windows with no sound that I can just have open while I multitask/listen to stuff but then ToME wants to be played fullscreen with music and graphics and shit. And the mechanics seemed kind of confusing compared to the typical "bump into stuff, use items" gameplay that most roguelikes have

>causing self-damage in order to hugely augment your attacks
I always liked RPG classes with this gimmick
high risk high reward
