all of them did

Nope, try again

's a matter of opinion. I prefer playing Ultimate myself but I am glad there are folks who stick to what they're passionate about. Just wish they'd spend less time trying to put down who enjoy other entries more.

>Ultimate has Banjo, Ridley, K. Rool, Mega Man, Cloud, Ryu, and a plethora of other vidya characters
>dozens of stages
>hundreds of songs
>8 player smash
>beautifully colored and animated
>MELEE IS BETTER BECAUSE YOU CAN WAVEDASH!!

ok autist.

it was a beautiful mistake
its the only game that could get the balance between casual play and autism right because its broken as fuck

>it has more "stuff" so that means it's better

1. Reducing the combo potential (Compare Ultimate to their Melee counterparts)
2. Reducing the skill ceiling, Melee was accessible to both casuals and tourneyfags, there was zero downsides to it being a more complex game
3. Ledge has lost its meaning because anyone can get back on for free, the dominating player should be rewarded for knocking you off
4. Rage mechanic, again rewarding the player who is losing instead of the other way around
5. Slowing the games down so they're more boring
6. No satisfying jump momentum anymore in a physics-based platform fighter

All Smash games are objectively good games, but obviously some are better than others when compared gameplay wise.
