Alright bros, I caved in and decided to try it out. So far I've noticed the following.
>People think that having to walk all the way back to a fight one or two levels later = challanging.
I suppose the threat of losing the fight isn't enough for some people.
>People glorify RNG for everything.
I dislike RNG in most cases, but hey maybe they know something I don't-
>7 misses in a row on a large wolf target surrounded on all sides, he hits every single time.
>People like wasting time having to run back and forth to rest, or reloading the game untill they can pull off resting in hostile territory.
The worst is stat loss debuffs, I've had to spend 4 days to get rid of one -5 str debuff, at least lesser restoration sort of deals with this problem, but good luck if you have debuffs on more than one person since you get only one cast of it.

Swarms can be removed from the game, nothing of value will be lost. I'd say it's fine if they only cost me one aoe potion, even if that meant upping the cost of the potion, but it doesn't, because of course every single character you have, misses at least 3-5 flask tosses per swarm.
I played games like icewind dale, I don't really mind the whole "not turn based" game style, even with my dislike of nonsens RNG, but I'm still having trouble understanding what it is that people love so much about this style of gameplay?
