This isn't an honest answer, the only result of such a thing is people accusing the developers of such a character as retconning, such as the Overwatch Example here.

They show no respect towards gays, they treat it as a marketing demographic. While they treat all of us as such they treat the lgbtq community is such a pandering way its almost offensive. People never had a problem when GTA does this.
