I never understand what make FFT is so overrated

The plot which politics-heavy and actually managed to put literally everyone important to the plot into grey area, excluding protagonist who is trying his damnedest to stay pure in the light side. He's getting ridiculed 24/7 for this.

Also deep enough for its time, the customization. Getting OP combination of job/skill is really rewarding.

And of course, nostalgia goggle, as is with every Square's creation in PSOne era.

My only hope is they have another big named JRPG ready to put up there alongside 7R, it would instill a little confidence that they can make more than one game at a time again and would help with the wait between 7R episodes.

They permanently fucked up their Deus Ex brand with the "augmewnt your preorder" shit and trying to sell 1 game in 3 parts.

If they're confident, it's most likely because they're out of touch with reality. I am curious about what Yoko Taro is doing next, though.

If they have FFX-3 to announce then they have every right to be confident.
