The amount of missable content in Fromsoft games is fucking annoying. Take this boss. After I defeated the gaurdian ape...

How is the carp missable? Don’t you literally have to swim by it to progress through the temple? If you’re talking about the area where you feed it then that’s just a result of not exploring enough. I saw the area all the way on the right that I couldn’t access and wondered how I could get there. Swam through the giant carp area, cane out the other side and saw a grapple point to the roof of the temple and then grappled over to the previously inaccessible area. Anyone who says you need a guide for that is probably brain dead and shouldn’t be playing games anyway

Headless ape is missable?!

the point I was making is that that user said
>Uh if you play like a normal fucking player
>the game is clearly meant to be played that way you fucking nigger
it's a retarded argument but that doesn't mean I'm saying missable content is bad, it is good. it's like that thing where you're on the same side of an argument as someone but they say something retarded. the game isn't "meant to be played that way" it's meant to be able to be played nonlinearly, which it is
and I literally fucking said "not him", I know you are directed to it and that there are hints for it, see optional shit isn't bad holy fuck please read

>because it's a 70 hour game and I don't want to replay it just for 2 missed bosses
u wot m8? I just beat genichijobber on NG+3 and clocked in a whole 60 hours, all this with a job and 2 hours of play per day. Are you literally just walking through the game?

I'll admit I followed a guide for 2 of the endings because holy shit, I would've never just guessed some of those steps.

>play dork souls
>like to piece together happenings and events based on item descriptions and visuals
>play Sekiro
>do so as well, but also realize that probably a shit ton of obscure japanese culture shit is flying right over my head because am not japanese

Yeah but getting access to the father owl fight is kinda BS. I can't think of a single case outside of the Kuro eavesdrop that you had to cling to the wall to hear.

don't think you need to cling to eavesdrop on kuro...

The serpent the first time?
Thing is op each area is a linear levels. The castle is where things would split off to different paths. How I figured it out is seeing how badly I get my ass kicked in each level. Like I got to the upper levels of the castle, I was doing shit damage to the samurai there.
So I went to another route. When ever I feel like I cant move further I stop and go to a different route. I think thats what the developers were trying to get you to do.

>it's like that thing where you're on the same side of an argument as someone but they say something retarded. the game isn't "meant to be played that way" it's meant to be able to be played nonlinearly, which it is
I think you guys are arguing two points here. The thing is each level is linear but you can leave that level to proceed in another linear level. If one is too tough you go to the other one to get more levels.
