Why didnt you blow up megaton

To those that never blew up this town in every playthrough, why?
I mean you can complete every mission before blowing it up, why didnt you, you would get 500 caps minimum and 1000 after speech check. Seriously this is the shittiest town why didnt you fucking end their misery they are gonna get cancer from it anyway, itll be quick and painless.just nuke seriously fucking nuke. Blow everyone into fucking ash.

I only played this game once and can't remember what I did to Megaton.

I felt bad about it because I always could, but I accidentally let the Sheriff die, so I felt obliged to keep it there.

because their house is better and easier to get to, whereas the tenpenny home sucks ass and is less easy to get to
I did blow it up once or twice just to see what happens, and once for a funny internet maymay

Because the choice presented is stupid in the first place.

>Do all the quests in Megaton
>Set the charge
>Tell Sheriff Dickbag I set the charge
>Everyone in town hates me
>Never actually detonate the bomb though

I couldn't ever harm the children. I love them too much.

>Killing unique NPCs unless absolutely necessary.
>Losing out on multiple vendors.
>Losing out on a companion even if you're not going to use it.
>Losing out on unique equips like the Sheriff Duster.
>Losing out on the most convenient home in the game and even more convenient if you have Megaton Walkway.
>For 500/1000 caps which you can earn in seconds once you get to Point Lookout.

who the fuck builds a town around a nuke?
it's just natural selection at that point

shut the fuck up

what do they eat

I never made a psycho-tard character, and 'because Mister Coldsteele told you to' isn't a good enough reason
Retards. Especially since there's a small pre-war town not too far away. But that wouldn't be lol-wacky-Fallout enough

It works though. The other small pre-war town gets fucked in the ass daily by Super Mutants. People don't want to fuck with you if you've got a live nuke in your front yard.

how much do you love them, user?

> in every playthrough
How much do you think people played this garbage?

game refuses to play on either of my PC's, crashes in less than 5 minutes so I gave up on it.

I meant the town near Megaton that had a school full of raiders. Big Town keeps getting fucked because it's populated by the retards that got kicked out of Little Lamplight. Since they're not kids any more, they lost their invincibility and the Super Mutants can kill them now

>tfw took the wrong turn when leaving the vault and went to this school first
>went operator on all of them and blew all their heads off
Was a good feel because why do damn raiders attack me on sight? Don't deserve to live.

If Any One is interested, there's a separate world space in the geck files where you witness/ detonate Megaton on top of the GNR building. I can't remember if I found the old door transition inside the building or hidden behind collision outside of it.
Kind of makes you wonder what the original draft of this was like.

Three Dog gets mad that Megaton isn't helping enough for the Good Fight so he asks the player to blow it up.

>tfw Three Dog's quest takes me so long that I roam off to the ship and find out where pops is and he somehow knows this already and doesn't give me anything except the useless shit in the building

The reason is because im a nice person... The villagers where not that evil or looney and they seemed to be at piece with living near a FUCKING ATOMIC BOMB.

I had a fantasy where someone would come and rescue them or move them somewhere else (maybe in a future dlc? or mod?).

You can play Fallout 3 inside of new vegas using tale of two wastelands

>someone places bombs in your house
>too autistic to know why they hate you

Remember, they could have hauled that bomb out at any point before the cult moved in.
They don’t get fucked because they have actual walls around their settlement.

To be fair, the lore is they used the cultists as, essentially, willing slave labour to build the settlement.

Think of how much work went in to it, imagine if they didn't have slaves to haul all that metal around, it's sort of an interesting question, would they have done as well without those big metal walls? Likely not, and without slave labour those walls likely wouldn't exist.
