You really liked it! It made for a fun and enjoyable RPG experience!

Polished with a lot of content. Relies too heavily on previous lore and equipment to carve out its own identity. As a result I prefer dark souls 2 over it, but I'd take original garbage over polished familiarity any day.

Bloodborne > Dark Souls >>> Dark Souls 3 > Demon's Souls > Dark Souls 2

You probably enjoyed it because it was new to you
Once you play through it again you'll come to realize it's soulless, bland, and overly safe.
You'll get tired of the same brown, yellow, and grey color palette.
You'll get tired of the swamps and cathedrals, you'll get tired of the levels that consist of nothing but narrow corridors, sprawling empty rooms with clusters of enemies, and elevators that lead straight from the boss to the bonfire.
You'll get tired of the nearly identical bosses that are all just Flamelurker rehashes in big empty rooms.
You'll get tired of the lack of spell variety, boring weapon variety, and samey outfits.
You'll just be too tired to play through it again.

It was shit, DS2 SOTFS better.

How about developing an opinion by yourself instead of adopting every opinion the internet tells you to adopt?

mediocre rehash of ds. the farron greatsword was cool tho

The only issue I have with it is how it relies more and more on high poise enemies than the other games do combined and how several fights the challenge comes from you being gimped healthwise than in other games. It does have some good
variety in customizing your character, though.

>dark souls 3 sucks
>the edgy weeaboo breakdance sword was cool tho

Your opinion is invalid

Its a "tight" and forgettable experience. A BIT boring. Worse than ds2

>>dark souls 3 sucks
i didnt say it sucks tho. just derivative af
>the edgy weeaboo breakdance sword was cool tho
literally the only new thing in the game

BB>DS3>Ds1>Sek>Des>>>>DS2

Dark Soulless 3; everything it did either Dark Souls 1 or 2 did better

>Bosses
>Graphics
>Music
>Cutsences
Excuse me?

great combat, not as interesting or fun to build characters in as DaS2 and worse level/world design than DaS1
but it's fun, fast and new like BB

Bosses were boring
Graphics were gray and shitty
I literally can't remember a single track except for the final boss track, and that's only because they had Gwyn's piano in it
>Cutscenes
Who cares?

maybe you're just a faggot

So fucking forgettable as a game. Even Dark Souls 2, which I think is the worst, is more memorable.

I think I the issue with DS3 when it comes to builds is that it has the least broken stuff so it has a lot of viable builds but they all end up pretty balanced so nothing really stands out.

I think mechanically it's the best right next to Bloodborne, lore wise it's really just cannon fanfiction

Mechanically I find it sort of offputting
Like it doesn't know if it wants to be a Souls game or a Bloodborne game.

They took a lot of gameplay designs straight from bloodborne (hyper aggressive offensive orientated) but forgot that BB was build around that with mechanics like rally.

Souls mechanically was always about planning each attack since you had a commitment behind them, playing methodically around different monsters and creatures. This also allowed for more defensive oriented playstyles. Dark Souls 3 discourages this because of it's focus on offense.

The combat of the first Dark Souls is all about slow, telegraphed attacks. It becomes trivial once you master the timings. I don't think either sequel really improved the difficulty. Dark Souls 2 tries to make combat encounters more challenging by increasing the number of enemies you have to fight at once. Dark Souls 3 does it by making all the enemies really fast and flaily with long combos. It's more difficult to recognize enemy attacks and there's a smaller window of opportunity to strike back but it makes everything look really wonky.

ds2 unironically better than this garbage, you guys only like it for the DLCS

Yeah, Dark Souls 3 would probably be the best in the series if if had rally to balance everything out. I think overall I think I'd only put Dark Souls 2 below the other games just because it has the most flaws mechanically: namely Adaptability and the issues with the removed shadows. I like all of them for different reasons, though.

Bloodborne has the best version of Moonlight by a huge fucking margin.

>ds2 unironically better than this garbage, you guys only like it for the DLCS
That's the same for ds2 though
crown dlcs is what made DS2
TRC is what made DS3

Magic still feels like shit to use, DS2 did pure casters, even faith, better (enemies dying too quickly to them aside which the DLC fixed). Making spells depend on FP instead of a set amount of casts that you can increase by attuning the same spell twice was a mistake.
That being sad, the miracle that lets you use a lightning bow is neat and so are the spells that let you use magic-swords.

In this thread we list things Dark Souls 2 did that were far better than Dark Souls 3. I'll start:

>No bonfire and no death challenge where you can beat the game without resting at a bonfire or dying to gain a reward and bragging rights

>Non-linear first half of the game allows you to rush straight to the areas of the game that contain the items for your build

>Chugging Estus immobilizes you, and the heal isn't instantaneous meaning trying to chug while someone is sticking close to you will result in death

>Stamina regeneration is tied to weight, so a character at 10% burden will recover their bar faster than a character at 70% burden, giving an advantage and a reason to make a low burden character

>Poise exists and armor provides relevant, but not overpowering damage reduction, giving an advantage and a reason to make a high burden character

>Phantoms and Dark Spirits cannot chug estus, spirits can only heal via spell useage which is slow. This makes fighting outnumbered even without mob assistance possible since any damage you do sticks

>Can only perform four rolls before running out of stamina

>Can only perform 5 attacks of a rapier or straight sword before running out of stamina

>Parrying has longer recovery frames and consumes more stamina, making parry fishing riskier and makes parrying require higher skill

>Power stance allowing for unique combinations of dual wielding and unlocking an alternative moveset for weapons

>Being able to use the full moveset of a weapon in your off-hand including running, rolling, backstepping, etc. attacks rather than just being able to do a basic R1 swing and blocking with the weapon as it is in Ds3 (lmao who would ever want to weapon block)

>Bell Tower covenant providing two unique optional areas to PvP for Titanite Chunks, Slabs, and Twinkling, making farming for upgrades fun

>Bonfire ascetics to replay bosses you like and or gain items from NG+ and beyond without grinding through the whole game again

>missing the most blatantly obvious joke/b8 in the history of thread titles

>blew my mind when I figured out that I could have Sif as my first boss and Four Kings as my second
>could ring the bell in blighttown first, which causes the Crestfallen Knight to give a different line which is more optimistic
>loved how I could in theory skip everything up to Rotten, leave it for later and then go progress towards the Lost Sinner or any other boss or even farm the Rotten and skip the other three.
>tfw DS3 doesn't have any fun way to skip any encounters or truly tackle the game in a different order, can't even attempt Lothric Princes early after killing Dancer and Dragonslayer Armor
>tfw Abyss Watchers are mandatory to take on first instead of picking which of the four or three (If lothric really needs to be last) lords you attempt first and always need to trek through Farron Keep which is the most boring area in the entire game

DS2 is far from perfect but at least you could cater your playthrough to the needs of your build more easily which makes it more fun.

Hey I just finished it again too! Everything about the base game is ass except for Lord of Cinders. 1st dlc is too short and the only redeeming features are the two bosses. Ringed city is actually fucking good and throwback to DS2 is awesome. The bosses are cool except for the Dragon, all the Dragon bosses are absolute shit including Nameless King. Gael is the best boss in all of the souls.

That you think Dark Souls 2 and SOTFS is the worst game ever made next to big rigs.

this is what ds2 fags think

Ds2 discord crew at it again

Trc is hp sponge bullshit and added in some of the worst armors and weapons just to pander to ds2 fags. Lightning arrow is boring. Basegame is great and ashes is cool but the arena was a waste of resources.

Base Game is SHIT
Ashes is SHIT
TRC is GOOD

The only DS2 set in TRC was boob armor, fuck off retard.

>Rune armor, black witch and pyromancer garb
Kys mongoloid. Dreg heap was good and the angels are a fun gimmick but the actual ringed city is a slog filled with bulletsponges spammed everywhere and ringed knights with stupidly long combo's. Also, the herald legion set is shit and should've been an uncorrupted version.
