Can someone who owns an Xbox One answer some questions for me? My PS4 just shit out on me, and I think I'm going to to make the switch. I would appreciate some help.
Xbox One
you will be banned from resetera
Yeah, what do you want to know
how about you post some questions instead of just waiting for people to respond to you OP
How is the build quality? How long have you had yours? I don't care about exclusives. I just want a system that will last. I had an Xbox 360, but it died from the reverse RROD.
I have had my original Xbox One since 2013. The fat black one. The systems have largely had few issues.
Sturdy, Own an X and S and neither feel flimsy.
Knocked my S around a bit and it still works like a charm.
got a xbone S for 200 about 6 or 7 months ago since I didn't have a current gen console yet
haven't had any issues with it at all, and I haven't really cared about sony's exclusives since microsoft has been cucking them out of everything decent lately
This is kind of a stupid question for Yea Forums. You can look up statistics for failure rates. Neither Xbox One nor PS4 have high failure rates or "sturdiness" issues.
what kind of battery situation do you do for the controller? do you just replace the batteries? Do you use a battery pack? Thanks for the replies so far.
I use rechargeable energizers.
idort here
I'd recommend you try and get a XboneX if you find one cheap (doesn't have to be new). They are built like tanks and will offer much more performance, and that is whether or not you currently have a 4K TV
Just buy a PC.
How is the OS? I will probably download a streaming service like Sling, as I'm an Amerimutt big into sports.
any rechargeable batteries would probably work just fine, but I use pic related because I keep a controller for pc shit and it lets me charge it in a usb.
also agreeing with in that xbox one X is the best console as far as performance, so unless you care about sony's moviegames you have zero reason to get a PS4 for multiple reasons
>microsoft is sniping anything that would've been exclusive to sony like brought up. Last year's E3 was a perfect example of that, and it's come out that sony is losing even more "exclusives" as multiplats like FF7R.
>Sony's new policies are actively encouraging weeb games to move to switch, so a Switch is better if you care about nip games in general, not just the lewdshit.
Personally I use my PC for most games, xbox for comfy couch games or console only games that aren't on PC, and switch for nintendo and weebshit.
I really only use it for games, havent touched the streaming other than spotify. the OS is decent-ish. im on an X and the store takes ages to load, menus can be choppy, and the layout of the home screen was downright confusing for the first few days i had it.
Wait for PS5. It will have native 4K, ray tracing, dedicated servers, and the definitive version of Death Stranding
>just found out I can play RDR1 on the Xbox One
oh FUCK
felt the same way when Harmony of Despair was added
Kojima is a fucking hack and MGS was carried by the other writers
DS will be hated across Yea Forums within a month of it coming out.
>Hated across Yea Forums
It's funny you think that matters at all when every game gets this treatment regardless of quality.
My Xbone s has been fine for 2+ years
I got power A charging station and 2 bat packs they have lasted same amount of time
OS is slow you get used to it and apps fuck up a lot. Also some apps change your privacy settings.
Don't, it's much weaker than a PS4, get an X if you're doing Xbox, gamepass is fucking sweet.
in terms of performance it goes
Xbox one X > PS4 Pro > PS4 > Xbox one S
