Watching a few clips way back, and even now, made me genuinely jealous of the kids who got to grow up watching it. One of the best written children's programs ever.

Sega ordered a bunch of episodes when they thought Sonic Boom would revitalise the franchise, then Rise of Lyric came out and was so bad Sega gave up on Sonic Boom altogether. The writers didn't have to worry about Sega tugging the leash like they usually do with comic/cartoon writers, because Sega had ceased to give even one more fuck about Boom.

Can you fucking believe that they thought Boom would become the new "Modern" Sonic and current Modern Sonic would become "Legacy" Sonic?

No. Maturity and level-headedness are truthfully depicted on her Adventure 1's role (and in Adventure 2 to an extent, with that scene of her and Shadow), while she's being she. In Forces, Amy only simply takes some military role, despite that she has shown and tipped nowhere in the past that she's a good commander and has some experience with militarism. She acts like Sally here for some reason.

I bet you also think Knuckles's role in Forces is good.

For the rest of the game, Amy's (unfitting) role was only focused on reporting the progress and the situation of the war. Lost World, despite being an overall godawful game, presents a better depiction of Amy here, where she does present a normal and sane behavior, while she shows more concern and worrying over Sonic.

Not only that, but the show had HORRIBLE ratings. A show with poor number of viewers isn't going to worry about being safe for normies or servicing the intended demographic. The writers knew the show was dead on arrival that's why Season 2 was so much better. Writers just put in whatever they thought was hilarious.

And this same group is the one in charge of Sly Cooper's incoming cartoon for Sony Stream. I hope they continue with their No Fucks Given for the sake of entertainment.....though knowing Sony they may keep them on a short leash with their California bullshit.

Of course it got horrible ratings. It was airing on Cartoon Network who only care about putting focus on a single show. When the shows that get dumped in bad time slots do as bad as expected, they eventually put it on Boomerang to die in the corner.

Though it's not like Nick and Disney are much better.

Well, there were attempts to get a third season as the show itself has recieved a lot of praise, but the writers already moved on and "lets make a third season of this spin-off from critically-panned games we want everyone to forget about" doesn't sound like a good sales pitch.

It's annoying that Cartoon Network was always like this but hey, that looks better then that fucking Bizzare period where all they were pushing was Johnny fucking Test when Ben 10's popularity died.

Mania came out in 2017 user, Sonic still gets good games occasionally. Not gonna lie though, 2013 to 2017 before mania has been the worst time for Sonic. Even the Dark Ages had the Riders and Rush series.
