my ass

I've been using Steel Series. They've been holding up well for me for the last 4 years

>gaming headphones
Grow up.

which model?

do the ear pieces swivel? i think thats the reason why I didnt break these, where ive pretty much broke every other pair i've had

I used Arctic 7 as it's wireless but if you want a low budget without wireless with Arctic 5 and 3 are good enough.

They're pretty much similar models and looks. You could look up a video review to physically see how it looks

There's no headset like A50X, so I just have to suck it up and buy an external mic as well.

kz zs3

Personally I use the ATH WS1100is which is basically similar to m40x/m50x but better sound. Reviews always put the m40/m50 as highly regarded, but if you read around on forums and user opinions, they have other things to say. Apparently for one the comfort is absolute ass.

Honestly I'd recommend to just get Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm and be done with it, or get the HyperX Cloud 2 which is basically a rebranded chinese clone of the DT 770's.

Gayming headsets are mostly a meme but in recent times some have gotten very competent, even if they look retarded. Plantronics, HyperX (Cloud 2 + Alpha), and the new Steelseries all are actually not bad.

m50x and buy a shitty £5 mic

Better ear pads help a lot with comfort on the M50. I recently got a pair of M50s for free (family member thought they were broken and replaced them, they really just needed a new cable) and threw some Brainwavz velour pads on, and they're quite comfy now.

dt770

I tried those, they're pretty shitty

You shouldn't use headphones

For me, it's the A550Z

How do I avoid gamer head if I want to use headphones?

buy STAX

I've been using these for years.
Anyone able to recommend a legitimate upgrade?

Attached: sennheiserhd598.jpg (401x453, 26K)

use earpuds instead

If you aren't using MDR-7506 you're doing something wrong

>another headphone thread where faggots say headsets are too expensive and then proceed to advice people to buy 1000 dollerydoo separate headphones and microphones

Nah, thats good value. Its going to get expensive if you want better sound

use headphones without a band like

>xhe thinks xher choice of headphones makes xhim an adult

Prolly get some with good clasping strength on the sides so the top isn't resting on the top pulling all the weight down on it. If they're loose they'll just sit on top and turn you into a gamer sapien.

Get HyperX Cloud 2 (Takstar Pro 80)

Comfiest headset I've ever used

based.
"gamer" earphones are a meme.

What are you, poor?

just get hd668b
on my fourth year with mine

>80 ohm
what is the difference between that and 250ohm or 32 ohm?

used AKG K240 from 2011-2019, bought AKG K240MKII like two months ago.

very solid both of them. worth noting that they're "open" tho, but it's a nonissue for me.

Attached: pixlr.jpg (2048x1824, 1.48M)

audiophile shit
Get the version that's cheapest where you live imo

Just get the 80 ohm, it has the best sound signature with heavier bass which is a plus for gayming. 250 ohms you need an amp to drive them well, or a quality motherboard. 32 ohms is for phoneposters and there just really isn't much of a need to get them.

250 and 80 are fairly similar so might as well get the 80 when you need to drive them with crap audio gear like console controllers

The tuning of the K240 sounds weird out of the box and far from neutral. I literally have the K240 on my head right now, but I would never recommend these to your average person.

Yeah, I have heard the Brainwavz pads can make horrid sets tolerable. I have WS1100is which are slightly open and lack with boomy bass.
Ear pads are fine but I wish they were better. Was thinking of trying velour but not sure how much it would affect the sound signature.

My Arctis Pro broke last week, after one year of use.
Gotta hand it to Steelseries though, their customer -service is really decent. Had to completly destroy the thing to their specifications and send them 4 photos that include a printed out QR-code. Got a mail an hour later, saying I´ll get a full refund in form of a coupon-code for their shop. Bought a new one without any additional charges or shipping-costs there and it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

i had to do the same thing with a steel series mouse.

send me a code for a brand new mouse

Sennheiser px100-II or a Koss porta pro if you can't find the px100-II anymore

Pretty legit. So many companies just beat around the bush. I've heard V-Moda is similar. I'm trying to make a prototype adapter that does not exist anywhere and it requires multiple flat thumbwheel 1k ohm pots. Problem is these are impossible to find even from industrial retailers. Was thinking of buying a few boom pro mics and claiming they don't work and "destroy" them as they have just the right pots lol.

I got the 58X and dekoni blues for heavy action games and BASS

Most of the suggested headphones are 200 dollars at most and then you can toss in any cheap shit mic unless you plan on doing some professional work. Buy one good pair that'll last you forever instead of some shitty headset that'll break down in 3 years.

memes aside i have pic related and they're pretty good for how cheap they are

my sound card has a built-in amp. asus xonar essence. the 250 ohm version is a few dollars cheaper. should i just get that instead of the 80 ohm?

I use these. Probably one of the best flagship headphones you can get.

Are their mouses any decent? I´m still rocking an ancient Deathadder 3.5g that´s been going strong for a lot of years, but I sometimes feel like it´s not going to last much longer.
I feel like the Porta Pros are kind of a meme and extremly prone to breaking, which fucking sucks if your country doesn´t allow for any lifetime warranties. They sound fairly nice though and the price is tempting.

>gaming headphones

Just get a good pair of headphones from either Senn or Audiotech and a cheap condenser. Even a $50 meteor will put most "gaming" microphones to shame if you tune it.

depends on your hand size. their old rival 100 was one of the best mice I ever used but their rival 310 just isnt doing it for me. so im stuck with it until it breaks again

ATH m40x
Yes they are better than m50x
Also
>all these zoomers shilling steelseries and other GAMER crap
kys

I've never had a porta pro break on me but I feel you. That's why I recommend the px100-II. They sound very similar but with a wider soundstage and much better built

>tastelet shitting on gamer crap while shilling audio technica

true bare minimum of fidelity for 'good headphones' coming through

Attached: HD600_hires.jpg (875x900, 337K)

What type of person uses these?

Attached: master.jpg (1500x1500, 126K)

A lot of people in reviews complain about comfort the headband at the top looks pretty shit

If you are only going to use at home on decent hardware then yeah. If you sometimes wan't to use on Xbox controller, phone or laptop, then the 80ohm would be better suited for that.

80 ohm vs 250 ohm on good hardware have no difference at all really, only 80 has a more punchier bass which would be cool with things like explosions.

The only thing the M40x is good at is crushing your skull with its clamp force and have shitty uncomfortable earpads.

I know the m50's look and feel like dogshit so it wouldn't surprise me if the m40's had the same problem. Just save up for the Sennheiser HD58X's instead

well he asked for build quality like m50x so i suggested m40x
>hd600
Get your skullcandy shit outta here

I have extremly oversized hands I´m afraid, no idea what kind of mice I should check out. I´m kinda happy with the Deathadder at the moment.
I got one of these and it broke after like a month or two. Only one of the speakers worked. Someone tried to fix the thing and it worked for a while, but it it returned to it's broken state fairly quickly.

Those are garbage quality. Get some Sony MDR-7506s

STAX SR-007

Love my 660S, pretty good all-rounder.

Close-back - Beyerdynamic Custom Studio.
Open-back - Beyerdynamic DT880 250ohms.
Cheaper closed-back - Brainwavz HM5.
Cheaper open-back - AD700X.

Any affordable blue-tooth headphones to use with my ps3 but also be able to use wired otherwise?
I dont give a fuck about the mic, but these fucking earplugs are fucking killing my ears

also fuck the ps3 for not having a headphonejack

I can't even use headphones that don't have velour pads. Velour is just too comfortable

if all youre doing is gaming then getting 250ohms is stupid as fuck

250ohms is versatile enough to get loud from most sources and measures better than 32ohms.
