It's harder to get suitable people together for. I tried to get my D&D group to do a campaign. They're all great at D&D, fantastic roleplayers and all that. Vampire is very character driven, much more roleplay heavy than most other P&P I've played and getting the tone right isn't always easy since people tend to crack up and laugh during too serious or dark segments (which is wholly normal, it can just be a mood killer). If you want to get into it look at V20 or the Revised edition, not V5.

true enough, but the strong suit of Vtmb was not the gameplay itself, but the atmosphere and writing. Which i think can be replicated given how Brian is lead writer, Rik Schaffer is back, a lot of old voice actors being back and that the art direction in general from the small gameplay snippets of the clan videos seem pretty solid.

There is a huge vampire games gap in the market and sheer hype will uplift this game, no matter how bad or good it will be.

If you diablerize other vampire you don't change clans, you gain power if the other vampire is more powerful than you, you just gain one or two generations in the process.

See it like this;
The player choose which clan member your character will be forced to
diablerize. So to your character there isn’t really a choice

I think you could manage it with a certain type of personality. Malks get Auspex and the madness network, I'd take that for a single derangement that could potentially be something completely innocuous. There are definitely people here as well that would love to be embraced as Nos so they could just hang out and shitpost/hack all day in their rat den.

That makes much more sense than lining different 5 vampires up and telling the player character to choose one of them.
Also the player character didn’t choose himself in the first game either
