Building your own pc
Where did you get this picture of me!?
>Being so stupid that you DIDN'T build his own PC
Nigger it's Legos.
>saving money
>being constructive
>knowing your machine inside and out
awful. just awful I tell ya. who would want to do this?
This thread brought to you by Brainlets of America.
>people thinking that building your own PC is a "tryhard" thing to do
that's clearly a smash bros player
:DDDD
Honestly, it's EASIER than legos.
Adult lego kits are complex as fuck.
I put together my desktop in 20 minutes, it's even easier if you only use m.2 drives.
>and then swallowing it whole
thats his steam library displayed in a stupid view style
OH MY GOD SPIDERMAN!!!!
Wish I had picked one of those up,genuinely looks cooler than most custom pc cases I've seen, it looks so clean and aesthetically pleasing
How much does it cost? Cause im a poorfag
>Lego
>Harry Potter
>The Hunger Games
>fucking Star Wars books
Jesus Christ
PC building is only a mainstream hobby in the US fampai.
how much longer do you think PC's will be around? everything is going virtual and smartphone
>going virtual
Until you can play videogames and do office work on a star trek esque virtual holodek PC's will continue to exist.
>not building your own pc
>buying prebuilt
>chink oem parts from the lowest bidder
>paying more
Not for the brainlets.
>saving money
yeah on nerd shit
>being constructive
yeah about nerd shit
>knowing your machine inside and out
yeah knowing your nerd shit inside and out
>awful. just awful I tell ya. who would want to do this?
i know right
NERDS
Wow it went for the jugular
As work devices? Forever
As a gaming platform? Not much longer. Consoles are offering a similar experience with similar graphical fidelity, less hassle and upkeep and none of the social problems of PC gaming, of which there are too many to list in one post.
There's no reason to own a PC for gaming now, and it'll be deprecated and done as far as gaming is concerned in the near future. If not because consoles obsolete their viability as a game platform, then most certainly because publishers and developers alike tire of dealing with entitled grown brats, online storefronts ripping them off and devaluing their works, cheating, hacking, modding, and most of all, theft of their hard work by unscrupulous third worlders and those who share in their subhuman behavior and mentality.
Is ibuypower considered prebuilt? I got my first and only desktop from them and it lasted me a good long time, I've had it for 8 years now, with a few piecemeal upgrades here and there
I bought a pre-built PC with a discount, no self-assembled one would have been cheaper using roughly the same part desu
Yeah get a ps4 instead
I paid someone $60 to do it for me because I didn't want to deal with it. The time before that I got a friend to do it. I haven't built a PC myself in 10 years and I absolutely hate tinkering with shit. Cable management alone makes me want to hurl the entire case through a window.
Still had to open up the PC I have now to fix, add and remove some stuff and hated every second of it. Zero enjoyment.
Why even continue to live at that point?
I only bought a prebuilt because I only had one day a week off and I didn't have the time or energy to buy everything and put it together
i just wanted to play games man
>consoles beating pc
Consoles are on death's door retard, pc gaming is cheaper than ever, your time is up
Hey, building your own pc is not hard or weird. Did my first one last year and my only problem was those cables from the case.
>Consoles are offering a similar experience with similar graphical fidelity,
Is not a hard thing to do. If someone like me can build it and not fuck up, you can too.
Consoles are slowly turning into PCs though.
this, it was annoying to put together a PC back in the 90s due to various incompatibility issues, OS being harder to get working, higher defect rates, ect but these days it's literally easier than putting together a lego set. There is no excuse for not having a PC aside from being a poorfag foreigner or being a teenager.
I finally have money to build a PC but only vaguely know what to go for. Where's the best place to learn about this stuff so I don't end up buying something stupidly expensive when I don't need to. I'm tired of buying pre-built toasters
>similar graphical fidelity
get a load of this goy, also just for reference, devs get LESS money per game sold on console due to extra layers of fees even compared to the steam 30% cut.
you've never even been in the same room as a gaming PC if you believe any of this.
>none of the social problems of PC gaming
>of which there are too many to list in one post
Shut up faggot
Aside from telling people you know "No I can't play x with you because I play on PC, not PS4" you're pulling shit out of your ass
>Eating your own pc
Just buy a gaming laptop, 1000 bucks and you can run pretty much anything
>PC is more popular than consoles in the United States
Not really surprising desu
Everyone there owns a pc, no matter how old or new they are
People always say this but after trying to build my own pc twice, going through all the work to get them running and then finally recently giving up and just getting it built for me, I have to say, making your own pc is fucking cancer.
Managing the wires and shit is not only a chore but dangerous, but the hardware isn't bad at all compared to the nightmare that is getting all the software working, there's always some stupid problem, shit stops working for no reason at all and it's a huge fucking headache.
And I've realized it's not worth it. It may be more expensive to pay some guy at the pc shop to assemble parts or buy a pre built but actually having everything work properly on first startup in addition to having actual tech support makes it all worth it.
I only have so much time left, I'd rather spend it PLAYING games rather than trying to get the machine to fucking work
What I did was watch a lot of YouTube videos and read lots of stuff. There are still plenty of resources online to learn. Also, you can try pc building simulator or watch someone play it on YouTube to get the basic steps down.
Who the fuck doesn't own a PC?
I've been playing on PC for longer than you've been alive, I just have no interest in actually building them, and luckily for me these days I don't have to anymore. There's no pride, elitism, or enjoyment or knowledge to be gained, it's just garbage annoying work that I don't want to do any longer.
I pick out all the parts I want, then I pay you chump change to do the shitty work for me while I jerk off to Max Hardcore piss videos. That's how the world works. Deliver it to my door when it's finished.
It's just you.
phonefaggots
I watched a bunch of videos on how to build PCs and used the hell out of PC Part Picker for its compatibility filters
If you need your hand absolutely held as hard as possible you can find a video of someone actually building a PC using the same case you have, so you can just about follow every step they do.
people that get laid
and Russia
and Brazil
and Germany
A lot of people, actually.
Phones are just fully-functioning computers now, and normies aren't going to buy a PC just to e-mail and watch Youtube
What's bad about it?
why are you using the switch meme for spiderman?
