Are you trolling putting 7 over DS and Wii? 7 is fucking horrible.

Wii had a better roster, better track selection, stick controls were better than D-pad controls, and online wasn't limited to 4 players.

Despite having less content, I had more fun with 7's online than Wii or DS. The physics were less jank in 7, the item balance was a lot better, I liked the transformation gimmicks, and having 8 players on the track as opposed to 12 made the item clusterfuck more manageable.

64 and Wii are the only ones that have skill based drifting and other mechanics. Wii would be lower but mods/custom tracks carry the fuck out of it.
DS snaking is nothing but a meme, and DD is only good if you play with 8 players.
8D and 7 are alright for what they are, but release 8 was a fucking travesty that didn't even have fucking battle mode.
GBA and SNES aged liked shit.

I tried 8 on a Wii U a few years ago and it didn't click.

Played 8D with a friend splitscreen for a few days just now, and man is this game great at 200cc. Punishing but fun.

I still don't love the unnecessary zero grav shit in older maps, though. Thankfully it has Yoshi's Island and Cheep Cheep Beach which is good shit inc.

It has to, Nintendo is out of the dedicated handheld business so its either it comes out on switch or we have to wait an entire fucking gen for the next game.

MK9 came out in like 2011 two gens ago so I don’t know why you’d want to port it to the Switch

SC & SMK's controls & the slight effort it takes to get decent at compared to other titles is underappreciated. Also, I'm only ranking 7 this low because it physically hurts me to play it for an extended period of time. I don't even have this issue with DS & regular DSI, or games like Smash Bros on 3DS, but for some god forsaken reason, I cannot play 7 for more than an hour before my hands hurt.

I agree. I frequent a gaming bar and the amount of knuckle dragging smoothbrains who come in and complain that they only have Mario Kart 8 and that "64 is the best" infuriates me to no end.
