Because VR is a meme gimmick fad.

>4 new headsets since last month
>market grew by 60% in 2018
>over a million regular steamvr users
>4.2 million PSVR sold
>Quest and Index both sold out
whatever floats your boat neet

It doesn't have any games I care about. My most anticipated games right now are:

>Bloodstained
>Shenmue III
>Age of Wonders: Planetfall
>Phoenix Point
>Death Stranding
>Bloodlines 2
>Bannerlord
>Halo Infinite

And there are a bunch of games I'm currently playing or are in my backlog from the last 2-3 years.

I'll be interested in VR once the games start to catch up with the rest of video games. Right now they're about 20 years behind in terms of quality and remind me of early PS1 abortions that flooded the market then.

>mobile processor
>45fps
>games look like literal mud on your eyeballs

I'll stick with my vive

>mobile processor
overclocked and fan cooled, never has to throttle.
Its as powerful as a switch
>45 fps
reaching a consistent 72 is a requirement to be on the store
>mud on eyeballs
wrong

is this webm meant to be impressive?

everything looks so fucking flat and ugly

>is this webm meant to be impressive?
um yeah actually, please buy my game and support me on Patreon

I think it's well stylized, whatever floats your boat then
Most good VR games aren't graphically intensive anyway

waiting to raise money to buy the index and I guess additionally for the index to be in supply.

Good VR games don't exist

what makes a good VR game?

if they did exist what do you suppose they would be like?

I do, I am enjoying the hell out of Beat Saber though it does annoy me how short most VR games are for the price

>Vader Immortal is only 45 minutes long and mostly cutscenes
>I Expect You To Die is only 40 minutes long and is full price for a VR game

Journey of the gods is over 5 hours, so you need good VR legs since there is no teleportation movement

Moss is a pretty good platformer and it's also about the same length, has some quest exclusive levels too

Actually fun

are VR companies making enough money off these to invest decent amount into R&D for next gen?

Top kek, no. Not at all.

I sold my rift and bought a quest as soon as I found out about vridge/ALVR. Pretty crazy since the quest is wireless, has the same resolution as a vive pro, OLED screen, no setup/ sensors, and you can move it to different rooms. Its better than the rift S for PCVR while being the same price. Can’t go back to wired VR after this.

I tried the Journey demo, didn't care for it

I might give Moss a look

Why would I own a headset with built-in super shit hardware, low refresh rate, shitty tracking and a built-in battery which isn't user replaceable when I already own a proper PC headset?

Doesn't the streaming delay cause motion sickness?

I have a vive and use the quest currently simply because it's a better experience

maybey they can try appealing to things other than gaming to widen their market.

Yeah, the low render resolution, low frame rate and poor quality graphics and limited tracking which doesn't even work in the dark are all amazing features. Especially the 72Hz refresh rate, which is well within the interval where flicker from the strobing can become visible. It's a totally amazing 'experience', I'm sure.

>low render resolution
higher than the vive
>poor quality graphics
look perfectly serviceable depending on the artstyle
>limited tracking
I have never had issues grabbing stuff from the back in pavlov or SPT.
>which doesn't even work in the dark are all amazing features
non issue, turn a single light on lmao
>Especially the 72Hz refresh rate, which is well within the interval where flicker from the strobing can become visible
not an issue for me as the framerate is fine, don't notice it compared to the 90 on my vive
>It's a totally amazing 'experience', I'm sure.

Oh it is, it feels next gen, not tripping over a wire all the time is quite an advantage, also not having to deal with steamvr bullshit

There really isnt any perceptible delay for me using a 5ghz ac router and wired comp. And I play pc games in 120 hz ULMB and 144 hz and think 60 fps is slow.

T. Index cuck that hasnt tried the quest.

Have fun being tethered to your PC while I play the exact same games using ALVR on my living room or play some native quest games outside.

why would I do this in my living room?

Superhot is the only good vr game

i dont have 400 dollars i have i dont want to not spend on food or weed with sorry there's older video games to play, too many to complete them all and they are all free

>heheh weed man everything should like be free my scro
