>Easy Mode is not available on any NTSC console versions of the game. It was later added to the HD PC release. All PAL/NTSC-J console versions feature Easy Mode.

>The player will start out with a Shotgun along with the standard supplies.
>The key room in Chapter 3-1 is inaccessible, so players can go directly into Salazar's Castle.
>The Maze in Chapter 3-2 is inaccessible, thus the player can proceed to the door to continue the game.
>The King's Grail room and the clocktower in Chapter 4-1 are also inaccessible. The King's Grail is already in its place,
>The lever inside the clocktower is relocated to the area outside of it, and there is a barrier blocking the stairs to the entrance of the clocktower.
>In the same chapter, there will be only one Garrador in the room where two would normally appear.
>The spiked ceiling trap room in Chapter 4-3 will not activate, allowing the player to continue right away, although the parasites will still spawn.

Why the fuck would you even play at all?

WHY WAS THIS ADDED FOR PC GAMERS AND JAPANESE?

This all's been a standard feat ever since the very original European GC version though. I started on Easy as a kid, and had the shotgun in the inventory.

>WHY WAS THIS ADDED FOR PC GAMERS AND JAPANESE?
No, it was REMOVED from the USA versions, because "muh rental services!".
This is not the first nor the last time yank ports have been made harder. Though in some cases (ie. MGS and Resident Evil1-2) it made the games a bit better-

based capcom knows yuropeens are little dick idiots that cant into hard games

The castle is absolute garbage tho.
Making most of it optional for all modes would have been a improvement

japs and europours aren't as good at videogames, it was removed for the western release
there's no reason not to add it back for PC since it's already made though, also makes it uniform across all regions as it should be in currentyear

similar thing with DMC3's difficulty being shifted up by one for western release (or maybe they shifted it down for the jap release but it doesn't really matter)

>people complain about RE2 Demake's babby-mode Normal and Easy difficulties
>LOL JUST PLAY ON HARD, YA SHOWOFF! :^)

>RE4 had two difficulty modes from the get-go
>LOL SEETHING CASUALS!! :^)

You never win with Yea Forums

>japs and europours aren't as good at videogames, it was removed for the western release

It's more specific with asians, who aren't very good at video games unless they're 2D based as they can't think in three dimensions (there's a reason they don't like FPSes)

>WHY WAS THIS ADDED FOR PC GAMERS
Who knows? It's was probably just left in there.
>AND JAPANESE?
That's easy. Japs are casual as fuck and suck at video games. It's very common for western games to have to be made easier for the Jap market and it's also not unheard of for Jap games to be made more difficult for the western market. The reverse has never happened.

I was just poking fun but that makes more sense than I want it to
I like my jap bros, wish I could play some games with them

>What is the japanese version of Super Mario Brothers 2

Based retard

i can only think of one example, and it makes what said make some sense which is weird
I'm sure it's just generalizing but it's odd

Nintendo Japan just made up that it would be too hard for western gamers. They didn't do any western play testing or anything. To them it was very hard and they just assumed they were better gamers than the west and therefore we wouldn't be able to take it. But that's just all bullshit. There was no basis for it other than delusion and racism. Do you know how many western NES games were made easier for the Japs? A lot more than Jap NES games that were made easier for the west.

>WHY WAS THIS ADDED FOR PC GAMERS

because if you dont mustards just fucking make their own easy mode. Someone ACTUALLY thought REmake 2 needed all this bollocks.

FFIV

Japanese aren't good at certain types of video games
For example games like devil may cry ninja gaiden or gow

I used to play on Easy as a smoothbrain child on the PS2. I was blown away when I replayed it as a teenager on Normal.

>play through RE5 on easy to unlock all the good shit and get infinite ammo for the runs on hard/pro
>can't do this on RE4 because the saves are locked to each difficulty
>can't get the tommygun without playing the stupid ada side campaign

Attached: PenguinDisappoint.jpg (1280x720, 54K)

that's literally a good thing fag
you're meant to do pro on new game, not ng+ and the tommygun is for ng+
plus ada's campaign is pretty enjoyable and quick

i play games to feel like an implacable god though.

Attached: penguin.jpg (1280x720, 63K)

I never get this desu
don't you feel more like a god when you skillfully beat your enemies
sort of like DMC games on higher difficulties, or god hand
it's far more genuine to me than just mowing down enemies that aren't a threat

Attached: RE4 Wesker Castle.webm (640x360, 473K)

>don't you feel more like a god when you skillfully beat your enemies
>wesker
i'm getting some contradictions here

there's actually an even bigger contradiction because that webm is a TAS
it was just the only webm of RE4 I have but it's actually not related to my point

isnt that part of a TAS

Obviously earning your god-status is better, but these are people that have more time watching let's plays than watching videogames. They're used to seeing difficult games made easy by skillful players, but then when they try to play games, when they aren't imediately amazing like their favorite streamer bonerdog420 they feel like it's the game's fault.

The only games they actually like playing are ones that play themselves, or ones that can be memorized.

well funny enough I enjoyed DMC2 as a kid, probably my biggest sin
It still could be satisfying in more games that allow creative ways for fun, sort of like san andreas, but shit like days gone literally just has you mow down hordes of zombies. I can't believe that game was even made with that budget desu, the 2016 (i think) E3 trailer was embarrassing to me
