it has one of the best stories in video games and the gameplay is very creative. it can get a bit repetitive at times though so i don't think i ever finished more than 2 chapters in one sitting.

I had a programming class in high school, but the teacher was super fucking slow and I learned more studying the summer before, so I had like an hour and a half of each class to do fuck all once I finished the assignments.

Obviously not Yea Forums, but I played through the original Ace Attorney trilogy and Ghost Trick in that class on an emulator. God, has it really been 5 years since then...?

Layton VS was decent. DGS1/2 is an incredible story ruined by the Ace Attorney setting. AA is so formulaic and creatively bankrupt. All of DGS' new ideas are what makes it interesting. It should have been a new IP, expanding on the new gameplay mechanics like joint reasoning etc. Might as well have been a Holmes game. The political intrigue of DGS' story does not fit the AA story telling template.

I'm still happy Takumi got to do something new with AA, but hope he gets to make another original IP. The only way he could exceed GT.

I hope Capcom won't waste more good ideas on AA. Yamazaki likely left the AA team so it would be cool if he finally got to make his own game, he really deserves it. Takumi and Eshiro announced they are considering what to do with the future of AA. I hope that does not mean they are stuck with it forever. Its possible that Kodama and Fuse will take over the series for now.

Takumi has shown time and time again, ever since Dino Crisis, that he can write great mysteries with great characters. I hope Capcom can trust him to make another incredible game. DGS shows that Takumi is a creative mind with many ideas left.

Ghost Trick fan art always puts a smile on my face. Combining it with Layton even moreso. The DS had some great games man

Far better than your typical Ace Attorney shit. This one is actually good and has smart puzzles & writing. I played it before trying out the AA series and it blew my mind, AA on the other hand was pretty much dogshit compared to this and it kept getting worse and dumber with every sequel.
