LGBT characters are fine with me if they're done well (As in they have a personality other than "I'm gay") and aren't shoehorned into the game for no added benefit other than to get some brownie points from reviewers.

A scenario like the S76 scenario where they just announcing that he's gay after the game being out for almost 3 years isn't fine, especially when you notice the timeframe they announced it was during that whole controversy with that female player in the OW League like a few days prior.

Yeah, that's fine but I just don't really prefer romance in general in most vidya because they tend to read/play out like they're formulated by a team of desperate incels--gay or otherwise. This is especially true in roleplaying games where you can hook up with members of your team. I try to actively avoid those plot-lines if at all possible. If I wanted a dating sim, I'd play one.
