How bad does it look that only the characters have outlines and absolutely nothing else in the environment does, including shit they pick up?

No, but she does slap you with her tail several times.

The only characters I saw like that were two from a short fable Lawrence was telling Holo which lasted about a minute and they didn't pick anything up.

Should I buy a VR headset now or wait for the next model?

If you own a Switch, you could just buy Labo VR and play Spice and Wolf VR: Blurry as fuck Edition.

There wasn't any interactivity in the demo. You sit in one place and then Lawrence sits down INSIDE of you which was a little unnerving. It looked like they were advertising it as "VR anime" rather than "VR game".

I was hoping for some tail touch/grab interactivity but they sit you down with the just the headset and the booth people handled all the menus/controller stuff.

I was set up withe a Vibe I think and the tracking was super impressive 1:1. I don't have much experience with VR but I would personally wait until the next hardware upgrade/price down comes.

They had the Switch version and 2 other headsets and I would've passed if they offered me the Switch imo. Still had good tracking though.

One thing I want to mention is that the depth perception on the headset was shockingly good. You really get a feel for how small Holo would be in real life and especially when she sits next to you or leans into you it feels like she's right there in the room with you.

Through the whole experience I was overwhelmed by the realization of just how easy it would be to imagine Holo.

If you have a VR headset and want more S&W in your life there's no reason not to get it I'd say.

None but I did get a swanky pin with the face of one of the coins on it. (the plot of the demo was they enter an abandoned mill to escape the rain and then Lawrence and Holo have one of their flirty bantz sessions)

Dialog is all original as far as I can tell.

She actually looks really on model to all the art. Just how nice and fluffy is her tail?

The hair/fur model looked like polygonal "clumps" rather than some kind of fur shader/simulation which honestly was the better decision I feel. The tail looked very tempting (one time she swished it in my face, splattering me with rain water) I really wanted to grab it but the booth people had the controllers.

She looked about 4"something' like a middle-schooler. I probably could've lifted her with my arms outstretched.

Especially considering it was kickstarted, for a thing that's 30 minutes long to start.

Unfortunately at the time of the kickstarter I had no money/interest in a VR machine but now I realize this was a terrible mistake and have begun saving money.

Despite Lawrence entering my entire body I kept my eyes entirely focused on Holo throughout the whole experience.

So long as you said no homo you're safe.

Yeah I don't have VR yet either, but I guess I'm about to for this.
