Kingdom Hearts is a shit series. It's embarrassing how this garbage continues to sell well...

Because it's just not for you. Sorry man.

Smug dismissal is a sign of low IQ. Kingdom Hearts is essentially the analytic philosopher's wet dream, where ideas refer to things that exist, and the reference gives credence to the idea. So ---- comes back because memories are real, so even though Roxas and Lea have gotten separated from their memories of her, those memories just need to get reasserted. Like, this shit has been going on since Chain of Memories. KH has one of the most coherent long-running narratives of gaming.

Vivi is one of the few exceptions noted and he shows up for a few minutes during a tutorial. The prominent characters of KH (Cloud, Yuffie, Aerith, Squall, etc) are all Nomura-created.

>Smash doesn't have a story in most of the games and the ONE game that dared to have a story?
I know World of Light has jack in terms of cutscenes compared to Subspace Emissary, but it still had and told a story.

>And doesn't really have very many OCs like the punching bag with eyes.
The villains in both those stories were OCs made for the characters from all the series to beat up. Even then there's characters like Master Hand and Crazy Hand who existed in the series prior to those games.

>No original music or story, just the characters people love going at it.
All the Smash games have original music technically. All their main themes and the remixes of it, are original music.

>Smash is more like Marvel Vs Capcom, just grabbing popular characters and throwing them together for a brawl and that is the center piece of the product.
I'll give you that.

Other way around. KH is normalfag repellent due to the prominence of "cringe" culture in the West and posturing zoomers who think that something is immature because it has Mickey Mouse in it.

Then who is the audience? Complete rejects?

What you missed is that Sora is essentially a Messianic figure. youtube.com/watch?v=AcU9tulnvDI

Watch this brilliant scene. One thing that really stands out is the “I am who I am…” line. It makes the religious tone of Blank Points even more blatant, especially with the pause before he says, “…because of them.” Maybe the implications are unintentional, but it’s something interesting to note all the same. I mean, after everyone called out to him like they were praying, culminating in Aqua crying when she heard his name.

I really like how he says his friends have made him who he is here. He could take all the glory for himself, but he doesn’t. He gives credit where credit is due, because he knows he’s connected to his friends as much as they are connected to him. And because of all the ways they’ve helped and shaped him, he feels it is his duty to help them in return, so off he goes.

isn't that the appeal

some people like that shit

You forgot to not be an asshole and just say "people who played the first game as a kid and fell in love."

This post better be laced in irony.

I'll take that as your concession.
