1. Ace Attorney: Trilogy was realeased. I speculate to build up hype, and gain new fans. 2. There's a sale right now on 3DS store for all Ace Attorney games, selling them crazily cheap. Now what reason would there be to set down prices if not to make more people buy the games, therefore making more fans. 3. Finally the official Twitter account for Ace Attorney has been extremely active lately, posting memes and gaining attention.
Now those pieces of evidence by them self might not prove anything. But together they point towards Capcom building up more fans and attention towards the new Ace Attorney game.

They confirmed a few years ago that the next AA game was in the works but said nothing else about it, I think. I guess that could've just been referring to the recent HD rereleases but I doubt it would've taken that long.
