there's very little reason to bother having a "New"3DS/2DS. There are only a couple of New3DS exclusives

The 2DS exists because six years old children kept breaking the hinge of their 3DS. In the end broke ass college kids turned out to be they main market for it, which is why New2DS with the hinge exists.

Mostly 2.5 d games like dk ccountry returns, metroid samus returns, castlevania (though the game sucks), some other games have deep 3d like monster hunter 4, mario kart, mario 3d land and link between worlds actually have 3d based puzzles like in those 3d glasses books.

Friend let me try his N3DS and after I saw the 3d effect I was like "that's it?". Would turn off and never use again. Maybe I should get a 2DS some time, assuming they only removed 3d and left everything else as is.

And what did exactly improve by that? I was buying most of playable vita titles during 2012-2013 and how the fuck is that thing even comparable. I was a fan of psp and got vita instead of having ds and 3ds, after being dissapointed in vita i bought n3ds in 2015 and boy i was looking in the wrong direction.
