Power of marketing. Microsoft took the XBone out back and shot it every time they had a chance to make it look good.
The XboneX (fuck that name) only claim to fame was that it was going to be the most powerful console this generation
Would it have good exclusive games? No.
Would Microsoft fund smaller studios to help populate its library? No.
Would you be able to cross-play with other platforms? No.
Would it have VR? No.
Would it be less expensive than a PS4? No.
Would it be able to change graphical fidelity like the PS4Pro? No.
Would it have backwards compatibility? Sort-of
Will Windows Crossplay work with every game? Most games.
So why would you buy an Xbone? Why would you ever buy a console if it just does the job of a shitty computer? This is what happens when they won the last generation and attributed it to the 360 being unique or special and not because of marketing and games.
Now that's out of the way, I expect to happen and the PS5 to instantly give the player a lethal dose of radiation on start-up.
