For me its
Fake Switch Pro Controller>SN30 Pro G>Joycons>Ps4 with 8bitdo adapter>Xbone with 8bitdo adapter

8bido is overrated as fuck. Unironically the dual shock 4 would be perfect if it were a little bigger.

for me it's the naked joycons
unironically my favourite gaming input device

When you say fake Pro controller, do you mean the shitty ones without the gyro, or that $30 one that Amazon keeps trying to sell me that claims to have gyro? Cause if it's that one, and it has a real D-Pad I'm gonna have to finally buy one.

Not sure about the amazon one, I meant this.

Literally the same as the original one, it has a gyro, however it feels a bit worse than the one in the Joy cons. And the rumble is shitty. I'm pretty sure the D-pad is the same as the OG

not OP but I kinda agree, dpad on them is mediocre and build quality, whilst not bad by any means, is lower than I anticipated given the glowing reviews they generally received; rumble also feels really weak in them, even after updating firmware it still feels pretty weedy. On the plus side, though, the gyro is extremely good by third party controller standards (nearly 1-to-1 with official switch controllers), and personally I was able to get mine really cheap so I can't say I'm unhappy with it for the price either. Just surprised they're regarded as highly as they are given the kind of mediocre build quality. Analog stick recoil is an issue with them I noticed immediately, for example, yet nobody seems to bring that up aside from like 1 review I saw.

I bought a regular black pro controller alongside my Switch in late 2017. I got the collector's edition of Smash Ultimate in December which came with the top left pro controller in the OP image. I just use that. I've considered buying an SN30 Pro but I don't really need another controller that badly and I don't have much disposable income.

I hate to be the guy who says leddit but they're one of the major reasons they're highly regarded.

Everyone should own one of these for 2D games, they're cheap and stupidly comfortable. Finally a controller built for adult hands so you don't need to bend your thumbs at a weird angle. Really solid dpad, big shoulder buttons with low travel and a comfy grip. Makes the pro controller feel small in comparison.
