No. The remake won't be good. FFXV was a piece of shit, and SE is incapable of producing good games. Only their western developed games have been good in recent years, and they're basically just publishers and investors.

Maybe? I am not really in touch with how strong the VII nostalgia and nerd cred currently is.
This is assuming the games are equal in actual quality without one hugely blowing away the other leaving them to compete on meta and cultural ground.
