No idea what the fuck you are complaining about. The level designs are fantastic.
>For example, the NPC in Hirata Estates that's on the other side of the gate with the two soldiers getting ready to attack. The entire town is burning but he's just standing there calmly and doesn't even acknowledge the destruction going on around him.
Oh so you're a moron? Every single enemy in Hirata estate is part of Juzous band, who SET FIRE TO THE PLACE. Of fucking course he isn't paying any mind to it.
Now that the dust has settled, what are your honest thoughts on this game, Yea Forums...
>internal consistency is irrelevant because LOL VIDEOGAYMES
make it sound as retarded as you want but this is completely true.
>you clearly don't understand what made Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls great.
yes I do, and it isn't "internal consistency" it's great level design's with interesting environments, fun combat, lots of weapons and outfits, and gameplay that is straight forward in what it expects but also doesn't hold your hand at all. Internal consistency is a bullshit complaint and is only relevant to autists who have nothing better to do with their time than whine about stupid shit like "lore" in DS.
The Owl is my favorite boss in the series.
it's fun but only good for one playthrough
The enemies are, the NPCs aren't. Just across the way from him are houses where you can eavesdrop on people crying for help. And why the fuck would he not attack you if he were an enemy?
>make it sound as retarded as you want but this is completely true.
This line of thinking does not exist in any other medium and it's completely fucking retarded to think it should apply to video games, which have more potential than any other medium to produce a virtual world with consistency that can be demonstrated through experiences had by the player rather than something explained in a story or panned to in a movie scene. A huge part of why Dark/Demon's Souls were so influential is because they did this so much better than any other games at the time, and to call taking advantage of a method of worldbuilding unique to the medium and actually putting thought and care into things as small as where a corpse is placed "autistic" just shows you are literally too stupid to fully appreciate these games or the potential of video games in general.
This is true, but I ended up replaying it like 4 times, getting all the achievements, and doing a demon bell/no charm playthrough just because there's not really much else out these days that's actually fun
>This line of thinking does not exist in any other medium and it's completely fucking retarded to think it should apply to video games
wrong within the first sentence. A video game's purpose is instill fun in the player. Everything after that is a pleasant addition that goes above and beyond what video games are about and is thus in the realm of the most top-tier videogames, but also in the realm of autism.
Who the fuck are you talking about? The guy standing outside a door that talks with you? He's in Juzous band, literally tells you in present day in Ashina outskirts that he was one of the bandit looters.
>it's another "autism means caring about things beyond surface level" episode
I'm sick of this fucking zoomer arc, why can't Yea Forums just end already
Objectively wrong. You haven't even beaten the game of you only did one playthrough.
