Mario Tennis Aces is surprisingly great
Just started playing Monster Hunter GU and it's pretty okay so far. I'm told it gets better as it goes on.
I take the Switch with me when I take a bath or massive shit
It's so fucking comfy
Stardew Valley
BOTW
Smash Ultimate
Playing through ffx and diablo 3
I want one... Is it worth it to wait for e3 ?
Top 3 are:
>Monster Hunter
>Smash
>Octopath does it even count as a switch game anymore now that its on Steam?
I never understood this or doing anything but taking your phone with you when taking a shit because unless you have severe digestive issues or you're just a degenerate who sits on the toilet after already shitting you should be out of there in two minutes tops.
Playing One Piece Pirate Warriors 3. Already played it to death on PC, so it's fun to play again with a controller. Great game.
>favorite 3 games on the system
My favorite games have not released yet. They will be Bayonetta 3, Astral Chain and Fire Emblem.
I tried MHGU after World, which was my first MH and I couldn't get into GU. Am I pleb? The QoL in World is just too much.
>get almost day 1 switch
>love all the games I've been playing, it's been a great console so far
>pick my 3DS back up for a little while to beat some of my backlog
>go back to switch
>not nearly as comfy as 3DS
feels bad bros
>Whatcha been playing bros?
Disgaea 5 demo and FEW
>What are your 3 favorite games on the system?
Xenoblade 2
Splatoon 2
BotW
Who the fuck shits in two minutes.
Switch is a jack of all trades, master of none. It's a console and handheld in one but doesn't excel at being either. Underpowered and lacking features as a console, and it's too big and uncomfortable as a handheld.
Another problem is it doesn't get games that are specifically designed for a handheld or games that make use of dual screens/touch screen like Etrian Odyssey. Instead you just end up with indies and downgraded ports of multiplats.
>Massive shit
I'm talkin'full on diarrhea after a heavy night of drinking when you don't care how long you sit there when the deed is done
Not him but me?
Why would you take more than two minutes? Do you just go there when you don't want to shit and you start waiting? What the fuck
You need to stop eating like a fat 13 year old and you won't stop shits longer than 2 minutes
Not all people need to reach their arms to the opposite side of the globe to wipe their asses, fat ass
Normal people who don't hold their shit in until it gets so big that you have to strain just to pass it.
>>Octopath does it even count as a switch game anymore now that its on Steam?
It does, and that game is brilliant.
Dark Souls Remastered, Crash Trilogy and waiting for MHGU in the mail.
> Playan
Currently playing Torna (towards the end). And im playing Ace Attorney 3 on the side.
> favourite games
BOTW
Odyssey
Splatoon2
After collecting all the spirits in smash i realize as long as collectibles are neatly organized on a grid my autism will force me to complete 100%
so what games should i play?
Try Dragon's Dogma if you havent played it before.
>Whatcha been playing bros?
Katamari and Disgaea 5. Comfy as fuck.
>What are your 3 favorite games on the system?
Splatoon 2
Xenoblade 2 + Torna
Monster Hunter GU
Currently first timing BOTW and it's so fucking good
You guys told me it sucked
$30 what do I buy.under $30 games I have on the switch are
Stardew Valley
Hollow Knight
Katana Zero
Blaster Master z2
Cuphead Moonlighter
This is the police 1 and 2
Katamari Damacy is on sale on the eShop right now
Odyssey
Smash
Ace Attorney
It's an incredible game and this is the perfect time of year to play it.
>playan
My Time at Portia, Baba is You, and Boxboy+girl
>top
Smash, Oddessey, and Portia (if that counts, not exclusive but having a blast despite load times)
On that note, I'd recommend it if you like those sort of life sims, pretty deep and polished.
bought it
I don't think I'd like those games.
>Whatcha been playing bros?
katana zero
>What are your 3 favorite games on the system?
botw
xenoblade 2
travis strikes again
Understandable, they aren't for everyone. Have a nice day.
Fitness Boxing currently.
>Fire Emblem
Disgusting.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Three favorite games are probably Zelda, Smash and Xenoblade. I'm just now getting through Hollow Knight after having it in my backlog since forever, and I'm getting the vibe it might dethrone one of those games. Mario Tennis was a big letdown for me, and I think Mario Odyssey is a good game, but extremely overrated. I think every 3D Mario before it has been better.
Iconoclasts
Sonic Mania
I just splurged $30 on the eshop. what should I get, anons?
What's the hacking scene like atm.
Might pick up the supposed smaller model if it can be hacked.
Box Boy + Box Girl!
bros is cuphead actually good or is it a meme. also fuck off autistic rayman poster
I have been playing Bayonetta 2 these last few days beating it on IC, no items, and I fucking did it. Full stone ranks, don't give a shit, I did it.
I'd started trying to beat it on IC a few months back, so I was going from chapter X but fuck that one gave me a shit tonne of trouble for some reason. Now it's time to get good I suppose.
My favourite three would probably be Bayonetta 2, Splatoon 2, and Smash Bros, though I only ever play Smash with friends so that kinda automatically makes it fun as fuck.
Not played Blaster Master Zero 1?
How's the difficulty in Katana Zero? I loved Hotline Miami, but I heard this wasn't as hard which puts me off a bit since I loved how tricky Hotline Miami was.
How far are you in?
It's good at the beginning but falls off fast.
VOEZ, Splatoon 2, Mario and Rabbids
I've been into this too but I have flat feet and can't do it all the time. Which trainer do you use? Lin and Laura have awful voices.
Help me bros. I got burned out and quit Xenoblade Chronicles 2 around 25 hours in. Now I want to get back into it but I remember the controls being very complex and the battle system being very convoluted, what do I do?
Yeah, about 100 hours in I just became kinda done with it.
I just turned on the Japanese voices. I cycled through all the trainers but went back to Lin.
It becomes shit after like three divine beasts imo, because the combat becomes dogshit. All enemies are health sponges and you are locked to only being able to use the top tier weapons to fight and deal enough damage to them. But if you do that you'll always end combat at a net loss because their loot is never enough to warrant the two or three top weapons you broke on the process.
That game would be immensely better if the power scaling just did not exist. I never touch BotW anymore because I know all enemy encounters will be insufferable.
Sounds more like you're scared. BUAK BUAK BUAK BUAK...
This guide is helpful
You guys aren't going physical on Switch are you? Do you really want to hoard all this plastic instead of having them conveniently on your Micro SD?
Don't be a brainlet. There's absolutely nothing complex about the battle system.
Use Blade artes to cancel Auto attacks for small boost in damage.
Use blade switching to cancel auto attacks for a small boost in damage.
Blade Combos are when you use a Blade Special and they are tied to the Blade elements. They appear in the middle of the screen and usually have 1-3 orbs surrounding them. Follow the tree on the top right of the screen to complete a Blade Combo.
A driver combo is when you Break, Topple, Launch and then Smash an enemy to the ground.
A fusion combo is when you do a driver combo in the middle of a blade combo.
anyone with experience buying used games from the amazon warehouse? i pinch my pennies too much to want to buy Smash at full price, but i have no idea what "potentially repackaged" might entail. i want a game without any scratches or bumps. ree.
Recommend me some JRPGs
>You don't actually want to own what you buy, right?
Yes you are a pleb.
I know I know
Back dodging, walking 1/2 across the map instead of fast traveling, fast traps and fast gathering are good but in exchange for a much bigger roster it’s worth it
Yeah
I frankly don’t mind a more expensive more powerful switch because I love this thing so much but I hate it’s lack of power shows outside toaster indies and Nintendo made games.
If it had 8 gigs ram and 2 teraflops it would exceed everyone’s expectations
I'm currently playing Moero Chronicle H right now. It's alright for a fanservice game but a little on the easy side. I still need to get through Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and this video got me back into the mood.
It’s just hateful snoyfags and hateful OOTfags who refuse to adapt
same happened for me, 60 hours in now and still having a blast. had a abysmal expectations but caved and bought the game to form my own opinion
Katana Zero, absolutely loved it though it was a constant reminder of how Hotline Miami needs to be ported ASAP
Yeah, where's my Persona 5?
I intentionally bought a Switch over the other systems two years ago because of all the "port confidence" for various games going around the internet.
Now I'm sitting around with a machine that solely thrives on Nintendo IP's...which are next to none.
What in the fuck is going on with Nintendo.
It's been two years, how the fuck do you not have enough for one of the others by now?
Hows Mega Man 11? Worth a download?
Btw are there any ganes similiar to Katana Zero in terms of aesthetics, gameplay, humor on the Switch
Picked up a switch a little while ago with the fiancee, we've been playan' Mario Kart and Mario Odysee and loving them.
She is crazy excited for Animal Crossing to hit and i cant wait for Pokemon.
Havent got BoTW yet but looking forward to that. Is Stardew Valley any good? I think im going to pick up darkest dungeon too.
That's not good enough, at all.
When a question is asked you don't answer with another question.
This system has nothing going for it whatsoever outside of it's IP's. Where are the games.
guys do i spend $30 to get a port of low-res Dragons Dogma?
I wasn't answering your question you fucking clown; you want P5, if you had to decide which to get you clearly had interest in them, so fucking buy a PS4 then and play P5 rather than make abhorrent posts on the internet.
>low-res
It's 1:1 with the PS4 version
Great if you're already a fan. Possibly frustrating if you've never played one.
>How's the difficulty in Katana Zero?
It's easy and short, but the setting and visuals appeal to me immensely.
You can challenge yourself by replaying the game without slowing down time, then it can be harder than Hotline Miami.
I know Virtua Racing jist came out but I really need more arcade Sega Ages releases.
Has anyone here played God Wars? It looks pretty fun and is on sale right now so I'm kinda interested.
Is Diablo 3 worth picking up for its solo content?
I'd like to mod my switch for homebrew.
Do you still have to play catch up with the firmware releases do run homebrew? I still want to access online.
Yeah, the visuals and stuff appeal to me too, and that certainly sounds like an interesting idea, so I might try that. I think I might wait for a sale then.
At this point, should one just wait until after E3 for any news about any new hardware or is it safe to take the plunge?
check out the dragon quest builders demo if you want a little dark cloud fix.
I've been playing a lot of Stardew in bed lately but both of my left joycon thumbsticks are fucked and I don't want to spend $65 loonies on another one.
Playing Samsho V Special, I'm so bad but it's so fun.
Dragon Quest Builders plays like Dark Cloud?! Intriguing.
hahaha
okay user. time for bed.
You need to go back to school.
The primary question at hand is "where are the games" you monkey.
If you have a RCM susceptible unit, you can pretty much stay on the current FW, though going online is a bad idea if you run homebrew, since you will likely get banned. Unless you run emunand, which is only available on SXOS for now (the paid one)
I have no intention of ever paying Nintendo for their garbage online so I'm good
>implying it isn't
Do your research child
Virtua Racing
Thunder Force 4
Ys 8
My plan is to wait till after E3.
Only game coming up that I really want is the new pokemon anyways
Oh, you said favorite, that’s just what I’m playing at the moment.
Favorites:
Smash
Dark souls
Mario Kart
Right now my top 3 favorite games on the Switch are FTL, Terraria and Hollow Knight. I won't deny that, as long as there's no loss in performance, portability is not too shabby. However, I just prefer playing these on the PC due to the mod support they get.
Sadly, when it comes to exclusives, I just have nothing to justify the system. BOTW was meh, Xenoblade and Splatoon were absolutely horrible, I can't be bothered to play Smash, Mario kind of got old fast, and everything else just fails to excite me. The main problems seem to boil down to three things:
>the game is way too casual, meant to be played by toddlers
>the game is way too story heavy, meant to be played by hipsters who just want games to be movies
>the game is just glorified fap fuel with no redeeming gameplay
Hearing about Metroid Prime being delayed only made things worse.
I just don't get this. Many of these are multi-year old ports. Did this person just start gaming when the Switch came out? Where were they when these games were new? Or did they rebuy them for the portability? If that's the case, how many have they even managed to play? Replaying a bunch of games I've already played isn't really my idea of fun, especially when most of those are extremely average
There isn't a microSD card that would fit those. That's probably 2+ TB
I just bought Fairy Fencer F on a whim a week ago and holy cow is it good, really scratches my jrpg itch.
Other than that, FF7 is always good and Moero Chronicle H just came out if youre that kinda guy, its halfway decent as a game too
how bad is dark souls' sound issues really?
Dragons Dogma is pretty great on the Switch
saints row 3
pretty comfy and runs pretty good
Why dont you ever play it online?
WHERE IS ANIMAL CROSSING BROS WHAT THE FUCK IS TAKING THEM SO LONG
i played it on switch and then converted my save and started playing it on Cemu at 4k 60fps. would recommend
Tropical Freeze
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
Smash
Barely a problem at all, sound problems were blown way out of proportion. Framerate is stable and it looks nice in handheld.
How are you playing it?
i really want as much time in the oven as possible. the longer it takes, the better itll be as all theyd have to do right now to make the perfect video game is add HHD's features to ACNL. any other developments on top of that would only enhance that 100-fold
>Whatcha been playing bros?
I've been playing Dragon's Dogma, but since last night the servers are screwing me up and I can't do anything but feeling anxious because my pawn hasn't been updated ;_;
I'm playing Travis Strikes Again.
I think my three favorites might be:
SEGA AGES Phantasy Star
SEGA AGES Outrun
Neo Turf Masters
Just got Dragon Marked For Death in the mail and if it plays like I think it plays, it might overtake Neo Turf Masters, but we will see.
Wait, Terraria's already out?
Where can I get a cheap (fully functional) switch?
Just got a switch and three games what should I play first ? Super smash bros ultimate, Cuphead or new super mario bros u deluxe?
lurk the NintendoSwitchSales subreddit. the consoles can sometimes be found on bulk sites for typically 50 bucks lower than the usual price
Have you been getting those "Unable to connect to Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen service" whenever sleeping at an Inn?
With Homebrew you can emulate the 3DS version. I like to think of it as the same thing.
Play Cuphead first, it won't take you as long as NSMB (if you plan on 100%ing it with the Luigi levels and all coins). You can play Smash alongside other games so don't worry about it too much, just fire it up whenever you're in the mood. Cuphead will be a comfy weekend.
Nothing because the last good game came out almost half a year ago.
Nope. Didn't even know that was an issue
I got hype, fuck. Glad you're enjoying the 3DS version at least.
Dragon's Dogma is great. I should also buy it again on Switch
Had to fix your picture though
Well cocks. I bet it's my pihole then.
>entire library consists of steam indies and other shovelware
Yea Forums likes it
1) Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes
Legit fucking great, easily GHM's best game since NMH1.
2) Bayonetta 1/2
Handheld mode is surprisingly great for action games.
3) Smash Ultimate
I have gripes with it but I'm still popping it in at 100+ hours so it did something right. Haven't even finished Adventure Mode yet.
Indies != shovelware. Nintendo finally has solid third party support from real game devs, it's great.
>Nintendo finally has solid third party support from real game devs
From indie devs. Don't see Rockstar, From Software etc ever porting games to the Switch due the shit hardware.
What's the verdict on the Dragon's Dogma port?
Not that I need to buy DD yet again.
Indies absolutely are shovelware
None of them have the gameplay quality of titles which were competently produced
Especially none of the steam indie ports on switch
>Rockstar, From Software
user, I...
Solid 9/10 PC port
My dear friend... you actually took the majority of the people in Yea Forums seriously?
Seems to be a pretty solid 30 and the port is based off the PC version so the textures are also of a higher quality than they were on PS3/360
What are some fun local multiplayer games on the switch I probably never heard about?
>Last gen games
Bravo
Is MHGU still top tier if my only monsturhunter game is World? It seems like a huge step down from videos I've watched n shit
It's great. Mind you that I've only played on handheld mode, but precisely because of that I love it.
I read that mystic knight still causes framerate drops, but I guess that would hve been too much to ask for.
Didn't Yu-gi-oh get a physical release in japan? I can't find it on any of my usual import sites. Did this shit totally sell out?
>Moving the goalpost
>I-it doesn't count. Am I cool now Snoy overlords?
What are the most FUN dragons dogma vocations? I started as mystic knight and I hit like a wet noodle and I'm not having fun time
The Switch is more of a curated list of the garbage heap that is Steam. Only the most QUALITY games appear on Switch!
It's fun but honestly I still haven't bothered to actually beat it. I mean I enjoyed it for 70+ hours I played but at some point I stopped playing and I've never got the urge to pick it back up.
It's a step up in terms of actual monsters to fight. Step down in graphical quality and qol obviously. I've been playing since Unite and personally I thought World's new monsters were the worst in the series. All boring designs with no character.
Mystic archer if you want retard damage, sorcerer for aesthetics
Having a few old gen games from actual developers isn't solid 3rd party support. It's solid 3rd party support when the Switch gets games like Sekiro or RDR 2, which it never will because the hardware is too bad.
>Am I cool now Snoy overlords?
Good job as exposing yourself as underage, dumb console warrior.
Is the new SRW game any good?
I liked Magic Archer, but then again, I'm always a sucker for games that has some kinda lock-on homing shot mechanic.
Play as a warrior to wield greatswords.
>Deflecting
Nice try Snoyboi, but we all know you're only here to shit on the Switch out of silly brand loyalty
Not an argument you underage console warrior.
Nor is yours Snoyboi
Does anyone have the pro controller or whatever the fuck the joypad is and is it actually good?
I do want to get into more of the games but outside of Diablo 3 and Smash, none of them really seem good to me because of the awkward as fuck joycons even attached to the switch it feels like an Xbox (original) controller
I've got the 2D Mario game, Odyssey, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Monster Hunter and Hyrule Warriors also but the joycons, the joystick in particular feels like I'm going to fucking break it since it's flimsy to me
Except it is. The Switch only having 3rd party support from the last generation does mean the 3rd party support is not solid, an argument you haven't refuted. Jesus Christ you're stupid, dumb console warrior.
>run through empty hills
>sword breaks
>cook food
>sword breaks
>fight some enemies with a dozen swords
>run up some hills
>sword breaks
>boss fight
>sword breaks mid fight
>die of hunger
I just want a good sale on games in the US. I've got my eye on DKC but I don't want to play $60
And yet your initial post never asked for current gen From or Rockstar games and when your initial post was refuted, you moved the goalpost, silly snoyboi.
I absolutely love the controller. There was a weird bug with early versions of the model where it'll randomly do an "up" input, so buy a new one rather than a pre-owned.
The joysticks are nice n comfy though and not as frail feeling as the joycons and best of all: The controller has battery life of 40 hours.
I dont understand it either, you dont have the time to do anything substantial unless you literally stay on the toilet with a shit smeared asshole cause you'd rather play mario than clean your ass after you're done. Plus taking a few minutes break from vidya is a good thing and should be done.
Is there any issues with it if I don't have the Switch in dock? I'd like it for work and there's no place to dock it to a monitor
Dong Freeze is the best get it
Get it now
The game is just as much of an immersive sim as it is an open world.
Does it do that weird drifting bullshit that the joycons do?
That doesn't change the fact that a console with pretty much no 3rd party support from big developers for current gen games isn't a console with solid 3rd party support.
I would totally do that if I had a non-toaster. Would probably look really nice.
No
>Betting on Nintendo games going on sale
>Betting on Nintendo games going on sale and getting more than 10 burgers slashed off
No one can bother me in the bathroom.
The Pro Controller is great, the only problem with it is the shitty dpad. If the joy-con didn't have the retarded drifting problem I would use them more for handheld mode.
Cuphead at the current moment but my backlog of Switch games is fucking immense.
>Puyo puyo Tetris
>Valkyria Chronicles 4
>Xeno 2
Fire Emblem Warriors is 26.48 on Amazon right now, worth it?
Well, that's not entirely true either. Just that most of its third party stuff is Japanese. So MK11, Tales of Vesperia remaster, warriors Orochi 4, DB FighterZ, Valk Chronicles 4, DQ11
It’s a Nintendo 8/10 it’s ok
No one can bother me in my house. Because I live alone.
It's plenty supported by both Square Enix and SEGA though...
>Fire Emblem Warriors is 26.48 on Amazon right now, worth it?
A) Have you already played the shit out of Hyrule Warriors DE and Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends DE?
B) Are you still thirsty for more musou on your Switch?
If you answered yes to both go for it
Pretty much all of those games are shit, meanwhile current gen games from amazing developers like From Software and Rockstar will never come to the Switch. The few 3rd party current gen games that get ported do not only perform like shit, most of them are also shit games in general like Wolfenstein 2, MK 11 etc. The 3rd party support simply isn't solid. It sould be solid if it would actually get good current gen games such as Sekiro.
>Vesperia
>Valkyria Chronicles 4
>Dragon Quest 11
>DBFZ
>shit
Atlus is fucking retarded.
P4G is still a vita exclusive
The combat system is actually pretty easy to understand after spending 10 or so minutes checking a few guides. Pulling off massive chain attacks is super satisfying and generally easy to do if you understand the flow chart.
See, now you're moving the goalpost again. First it had no third party support, next it's no current gen third party support, now the third party support is shitty game (Which is entirely subjective btw)
FEW is worth that price.
Well yeah, you play those games on your PS4 instead. Why would you buy them again on the Switch?
>PLAYAN
Nothing, really. 'bout to, but it's been a while since I've played something for more than 10 minutes
>favorites
Dream Tank Match, Smash, and World of Final Fantasy
>It has a few shitty current gen games with a horrible performance therefore the 3rd party support is solid
>Let's ignore how the best developers will never port current gen games to the Switch
>Reusing the same argument from his last post
>Still subjective
I take it you have nothing constructive further to add then
>3 still split between FES and Portable
>4 Golden still Vita exclusive
>over a year of portbegging for P5 on Switch and it gets the fucking musou spinoff but not Royal
wew
>Let's ignore how the best developers will never port current gen games to the Switch
But they already have.
Jap 3rd parties apparently don't count. Only shitty current fotm western AAA games do.
I've enjoyed the few hours I've put into Hyrule Warriors DE if that's worth something. Never played Dynasty Warriors since the ancient Chinese part doesn't appeal to me but I'm more interested in P5:Strikers than I would be in a regular P5 port.
>Subjective
CD Project Red, Rockstar and From Soft being some of the best game developers is an objective fact. Now tell me what do these 3 have in common? They don't port current gen games to the Switch because the hardware isn't strong enough, making the 3rd party support for the Switch lacking.
Dragon's Dogma has been taking up most of my time. I started with an assassin on normal mode, but recently I've started a new fighter in hard mode for the first time, with the intent to make a mystic knight. I just slew a starter goblin and it dropped 10k gold. That's just ridiculous.
Why can't you retards ever just concede defeat? Most people aren't gonna be dumb enough to miss you blatantly shifting the goal post.
Also I do have a moderate fondness of Fire Emblem in general.
Cool
Project as much as you want, you'll still be in the wrong.
yeah its my fav switch game
>Objective fact
Really, and where does said objective fact commer from? Reviews? Those are opinions therefore subjective. Sales? Based on the people buying them and their preferences. Still subjective. Next you'll say it's because they're fun
>Like to lay in bed at night and get comfy with handheld games
>GBA, PSP, DS, 3DS, Vita were all top tier comfy for lying sideways in bed and playing vidya
>Switch is too long for playing while laying sideways because the top arm gets tired after a bit
I hope that Switch Mini shit ends up being real because I would legitimately buy one.
>Also I do have a moderate fondness of Fire Emblem in general.
I hope you like Awakening and Fates because that's 90% of the roster
There was deal at Ebgames and I got extra trade in credit for old ps3/360 controllers, so I traded some in and picked up Smash Ultimate. This is my first Smash game, just played a little against CPU and I haven no idea what I'm doing.
Critical acclaim, most GOTY awards by far, most sales by far, approved by pretty much every game developer in the world. Wether or not you think those 3 aren't some of the best doesn't matter. The people who actually know video games do share the same opinion as me.
How the fuck have you lived to be at least 18 and have not played a single Smash game?
>Whatcha been playing bros?
Splatoon, Boxboygurl, Cuphead. I don't know why I keep buying games because Splatoon stops me from finishing them
So far no one has agreed with you in this thread, so yea. Subjective.
I’m 90% sure (10% off for Nintendo craziness) by virtue of them adding that zoom function in a system update. Why would you add this function if not for the fact that you were making a model with a smaller screen?
>The people who actually know video games do share the same opinion as me.
lmao
Because I never bothered to play one?
Because you Smashfags are autistic cancer and put me off?
Because I was playing other stuff?
pick one
>CD Project Red, Rockstar and From Soft being some of the best game developers is an objective fact.
Why would anyone give the shit about the opinion of irrelevant Yea Forumsermin? Game developers, game journalists and most gamers do think they're the best developers.
Why are you so mad bro?
You seem to, since you went to of your way to post yours here
>CD Project Red, Rockstar and From Soft being some of the best game developers is an objective fact
CD Project Red has made a few mediocre Witcher Rpgs.
Rockstar, I will allow this even though GTA isn't my cup of tea.
From Soft are incopetent as fuck and your BLOODBORNE BEST GAME OF ALL TIME sold like shit
Classic MH is world turned up to 11. If you enjoy the MH aspects (big bosses, learning movesets, gathering materials and hoarding gear/upgrades while experimenting and mastering the different weapons you'll love it. If you mainly liked World for fluid combat and environmental interactions I'd still recommend but hesitantly.
Last couple games have been smash and Travis. My three favorite so far:
BotW- the music and atmosphere are phenomenal
TWEWY Remix- despite it's flaws it still has some strong points
Odyssey- again, music and atmosphere
If we go purely by play time, my three favorites would be:
Xenoblade 2
BOTW
and Superbeat Xonic
Didn't expect to like Superbeat Xonic as much as I did, but I guess I'm a fan of rhythm games.
There's a stark difference between being a curator and being a blind collectorfag that gobbles up literally every physical release for whatever autistic reason. Even so, this pic disgusts me for other reasons:
>all those shovelware titles
>games stacked horizontally
>games blocking multiple rows
Pro tip get a goose neck and the Joycon AA battery packs
It’s like 20-35$ for both
The gooseneck holds the switch and the battery packs add some very nice bulk that’s so unbelievably comfy you’ll never want to play any other way
its actually quite lightweight, you might be good
I'm playing Virtua Racing, Diablo 3, Final Fantasy IX and Hollow Knight. I really want to replay Ys VIII so I might be doing that soon.
Superbeat Xonic is great, user. I'd recommend Musynx if you want more.
...
That would probably put me off at full price, but at half-off I could deal with it.
>Game is $4 on Steam
>$30 on Switch
What's the deal here? Is it just the Nintendo tax or is there more content or what?
Musynx on steam only comes with a few songs and you have to buy the rest. It comes out to 30 bucks either way
Literally every game on Switch is free.
I'm leaning more towards digital for my Switch but I'll get physical for big games that'd cost the same anyways or games I really like.
pic related is my current Nintendo handheld collection
>999
>ghost trick
>the original pheonix wright trilogy
Solid
>no VLR
Ya messed up kid.
>nintendo's golden week sale is japan only
got dumped yesterday
I ordered one of the Switch jigs from that website and it never came. It was only $5 so I mean whatever but I still wanted it.
depressing
botw
odyssey
fe musou
I pirated the Vita version of it and ZTD
I only have three games, Smash Ultimate, Baba is you and Steamworld Quest. I got the system as a gift from my thirsty old melee crew and don't use it all that much.
Almost done with Quest. Smooth but deep card mechanics and charming as fuck. Image & Form knock it out of the park for a third time in a row.
Hacker friends please help I want to get back into switchhax and I have an rcm bug compatible switch but I still want to use online and not run the risk of a ban. So I am very PATENTLY waiting for an actual emunand release. How much longer am I going to have to wait
First Party Nintendo games never go on sale except during Black Friday. The only way you'll ever avoid paying full retail is by craigslist or eBay.
>just ran a pirated game today on OFW
>no ban yet
Buncha fear mongering and fake news from the scared trannies, I tell ya
Anytime now...
I wonder if Panty Party is any good. Gal Gun is surprisingly really good for a game that's basically just an excuse to make girls orgasm via a magic hairdryer
It might be the desperation talking, but I think E3 might just finally give something new after waiting for so long
then again I thought the same thing of MP4 for the past 2 years.
I caved got one this boxing day. It's a meh kind of feeling. Regret it a little. Oh well.
I own smash, mario tennis, hollow knight and tales of vesperia, so my first, second and third favourite are hollow knight, tales of vesperia and smash, respectively.
Honourable mention; I played botw on wii u, and it was fun_.
I want to like it more but the game is so fucking janky and the pop in in portable mode is distracting. Does it run better docked?
3 favorite games?
MK8
Smash Bros. (I wish I was decent)
Bayonetta
I just picked up Xenoblade 2 again after getting through the Poppi bullshit, and I'm back on the main story. At least it's better than the drag it was the past few hours. Also, they really need to bring TMS#FE over from Wii U now that Persona 5 isn't being ported.
>still no Castlevania on virtual console
Should I just get DD:DA to play while I wait?
The dark souls port is on sale, but I'm also bad at video games yet patient. Should I go for it?
Get Dragon's Dogma instead.
If you don't have Dark Souls yet sure. It's really not that hard to beat if you aren't retarded and rush into everything.
The Switch port is called "Remastered" but it's actually based off the PS360 version - which is a good thing because the PS4/Xbone remaster is garbage.
>virtual console
Should somebody tell him?
>Yfw you ralise switch is the best console this gen
>Just bought Katan Zero, cuphead,Dragons Dogma
>REsident evil remake and Resident evil zero month from now
So we can ALL admit switch is the new vita
>inb4 muh ports
Implying most of the old heads and PC fags on Yea Forums like all these new sjw braindead movies games that infest the gaming community.
Sure we may have to rebuy these games, but lets be honest most of us would rather play all the game we grew up with during the ps2 NES era that play these trashy ass AAA movie shit that plague the modern industry.
Nintendo is the only developers keeping gaming fun and alive as far as im concerned.
My ps2 is covered in fucking dust and last thin i played was sekiro and it still wasn't enough for me to clean the damn thing off
Unless Sony and Shitsoft start bringin baclk some old school games they left behind during the golden ages,PS5 and Xbone 2 still wont be shit next year.
Next year the switch will have any even larger and better librabry and Nintendo will still be raking in all the dough
Do multiplats count?
1. Hollow Knight
2. Enter the Gungeon
3. Stardew Valley
Still working on SRW T here. I just made it to the final mission (normal route).
He just won't die
when's the DLC coming? it's been almost a year now
Give me one reason to renew my Nintendo Online membership
Got tired of Tetris 99 after a while and fuck Nintendo dripfeeding NES games AGAIN
Spaltoon 2!
Fuck you I wanna emulate games on the go and my PSP broke and my phone has shit controls
Taking into account that online is rubbish in games like Smash, I think there is no reason. Super Mario Maker 2 will need the NSO, though.
Does Nintendo follow any protocol for the official sites? Super Mario Maker 2 will be released in 2 months, but the official website is not online yet. How long before the release does Nintendo begin releasing information about their games?
WHY IS THIS BOSS THE ABSOLUTE WORST
Just shoot it until it dies, user. It's not that hard to figure out.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Xenoverse 2, having a fucking blast so far.
there's no discernible difference, i'm honestly incredibly impressed
>playing
bayonetta
dragon's dogma
>favorites
botw
disgaea 5
hollow knight
>Whatcha been playing bros?
Dark Souls Remastered
>What are your 3 favorite games on the system?
Hollow Knight
Celeste
Cave Story+
In addition, in the same update was added a function to download again all your games...
It is quite obvious that Nintendo will be releasing new models soon.
Anybody else playing Steamwprld Quest?
it really only has 3 games though. mario odyssey is my favorite, smash is ok i guess, didnt really care for botw. mario maker 2 is the only reason i aint selling this thing on craigs list
So I got a switch and I played through Odyssey and have played a good deal of Smash.
I am looking for some games that will give me my money's worth, because so far I feel like I have spent more then I have gotten out of the games.
I don't care for Monster Hunter and I played Breath of the Wild when it first came out on the WiiU.
I was looking at Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
I played the first one on the Wii and enjoyed it well enough. Liked parts of X but dropped it because of the characters.
Is XC2 better or worse then XC1 and XCX?
Also any other game recommendations would be nice.
Pokken is pretty fucking sick from the demo
How's the full game
I'm not too fond of the phase shift but it's cool overall
I can relate. I’ve been playing my 3DS and 2DS lately since there’s nothing new for me to play on Switch and those dedicated handhelds really have something that Switch currently can’t have
Ive been sinking so many hours into Sky Force. Also Im playing Skyrim on the Switch and its my first time playing it. Really fun.
Is it just me or is the Splatoon 2 leveling way way slower than Splatoon? I would understand if the Freshness bonus happened every match you won but holy crap does it feel super slow by comparison.
Also, are the colored Yoshis unlockable in the main game or is it a demo thing only like the Classic Mario outfit?
XC2 is more of the first XBC, so you should be good on that front. Just be warned it looks pretty awful in handheld mode, and some people aren't a fan of the random blade summoning element so it'll be a while before you may like the team setup.
As for some lengthy games recommendations, you can get 40+ hours out of Hollow Knight, Mario + Rabbids, Enter the Gungeon, Disgaea 1/5, Valkyria Chronicles 4 (has a demo) and Splatoon 2. Mario Maker 2 will offer a fuckton of content when it comes out too, though that may depend on your fondness of Mario levels.
I'm buying a game when I get paid here. Am I getting Bayonetta 2 or Tropical Freeze?
I just got my ass handed to me for the first time in the game by what I assume is the penultimate boss fight.
>Playan
FFX Remaster and Cuphead
>3 favorites
Xenoblade 2, BOTW, MHGU
where do I buy the physical version of the ace attorney trilogy
when does the physical version of cuphead come out
How are you liking it? I feel it’s very good and the combat is great but the complete linearity holds it back.
Trying to beat Bahamut in Chocobo Dungeon. It's basically RNG as I need a set amount of hi-ethers to drop before I get to him if I have any hope of winning.
I believe it’s Japan only.
Bayonetta 2 also includes the original game so I would buy that first if you're strapped for cash, Tropical Freeze is still a quality game though
Play-Asia. You want Gyakuten Saiban 123 Naruhodo Selection. When you put the game in the system it will auto detect english as the language and allow you to play in English right away.
Thanks man.
I have a ps4 and pc so I have played a lot of the titles already. But I think I will get XC2. Although I'm not sure about the protag. Hopefully he grows on me.
I never finished it when I owned it on PS3, so that's good. I'm not terribly strapped, but I figured I could justify a game coming up here.
Rex is pretty dumb, but you can change him out for a chad later.
I like it a lot and but then again I'm an old fan of the franchise and play tabletop deck-building games regularly. I went back to a few chapters to look for missed items and grind for a complete card set. Non-character enemies get kinda samey though.
>Whatcha been playing bros?
Nothing on the switch right now since i'm playing mk11
>What are your 3 favorite games on the system?
Super mario odyssey
Arms
Breath of the wild
also revelations 1 and 2 are great fun on the switch
BABA is YOU
is
WIN
I made my own thread but might as well ask here but what do you guys think of the friends of ringo ishikawa
Tropical Freeze is more or less perfect. David Wise back on as composer makes all the difference.
I really want a 3rd game before DKC goes into hibernation again. Would purchase day 1.
Castlevania is likely never coming
shit imitation of downtown nekketsu i wouldn't bother
How good is Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon?
Is that castlevania collection getting a physical cartridge.
Nope, I don't think so.
Anything worthwhile on sale atm other than Disgaea 5?
Bought:
>Super Mario party
>Okami HD
>Breath of the wild
>Smash u
>Mario Odyssey
>Ace attorney trilogy
>Ikaruga
>Cuphead
>FFVII
>planetarian
>Devil engine
>Hollow knight
>Fast RMX
>Code of princess ex
>Cave story +
>Travis strikes again
All within a span of 4 months.
Yet I haven't beaten a single one of them yet. What's the problem with me?
I think they're all objective good games from what I've played, yet I still can't pick them up and play for more than like 10 minutes. Though admittedly I have over 200 hours in ultimate, mostly from playing with friends locally. I'm like half done Zelda, which will probably be the first game I finish, and done 4 cases in Ace attorney, and 7 hours into okami which I think is super fucking dated. The rest I maybe have 10 minutes to 3 hours in at most
creator said its a long way out and not this year
Literally spoiled for choice. You can swap games on the faintest whim, so you never really get invested. Buy fewer games and only move on once you beat something. Yes you'll miss out on some sales but you'll enjoy your games more in return.
I have a similar stack of games ready to go and sink most of my time into MHGU. Switch is everything I ever wanted from a successor to the Vita and it's pushing for my favourite console of all time (at least to use, even if the library is still in relatively early days). I actively enjoy using it as a device, it's great. It's easy to double dip games for the portability.
Ever since I modded my switch I've been playing a little of everything but mostly Megaman Legends 1 & 2 through Retroarch.
I wish Capcom would release a MML legacy collection. I got it on my Vita but the lack of R2/L2 buttons make it a pain to play.
>Playin Xenoblade 2: Torna
>Get btfo by one enemy type
>had elemental awakening
>kept unknowingly placing element orbs early on which boost its stats on top of its half life boost
Man Im dumb, love this game tho
any metroidvanias I should check out?
Mine blue screened, I never even use a third party dock or any periferal for that matter. Is there anything I can do or will I just have to pay to get it repaired?
The Messenger and Shantae and the Pirate's Curse are the two I've played and enjoyed recently.
Hollow Knight is legit, but fags don't like it for whatever reason.
Axiom Verge is a better pick if you think Super Metroid is the beginning and end of the genre.
going between DaS1 and MHGU
This thing has to be getting a 2D Metroid down the line, right? I'm under the impression Mercury Steam are working on a new one.
>Loved the Vita
>Switch is basically a spiritual successor to it and improves upon everything
Handhelds are life, bros. Switch is 9/10 so far.
>improves upon everything
Except the d-pad
True. I don't have any fighting games on it yet so I don't know how much it'll bother me
it's switch and pc so no
>want to get Legend of the Duelist on JP eshop since its in full english
>but always want to encourage more games to come stateside by buying the NA releases
Life is a slow suffering.
Cuphead or baba is you
it’s outstanding.
>Whatcha been playing
Smash Ultimate, dicking around (sometimes literally) in custom stage arenas with Yea Forumsirgins
>What are your 3 favorite games on the system?
1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2
2. Smash Ultimate
3. Splatoon 2
Special shoutout to DCKTF, BOTW and Bayonetta 2 which are great games, but I've played them on Wii U, not Switch
Remember to invest in art cancelling.
samus returns post credits scene is an obvious hint
Thanks for reminding me to play Dark Souls. Almost forgot I had it.
Just got a switch yesterday.
It's shocking to see how poor the library is if you owned a wiiu.
And paying 60$ for a re-release because its portable now is bullshit
>It's shocking to see how poor the library is if you owned a wiiu.
So glad I never did. :^)
Currently playing FFVII, samsho V special, sonic mania and some smash
My favorite three games are smash, botw and MK8D
I want to download cuphead and katana zero but I want to get an sd before I do. Probably want to get ctr, sonic racing, and Spyro trillogy on digital when they come out. My next physical purchase will be sword.
I finally beat the chapter 3 boss in xeno 2
>that dumpster fire voice acting scene in English
Anyway anyone have cute ingame screenshots of morags face?
Post Switch collections!
>spyro trilogy
I wish I had your confidence.
waiting for animal crossing and really hoping for another pokemon mystery dungeon. they could have waited a year and we would have had blue and red rereleases on switch
It's incredibly good. Very comfy, cute, great music, and the learning curve is just right for newbies who've never played a mystery dungeon game. And then once you're 3 crystal dungeons in the game shits down your mouth. I love it.
No idea. I never take more than 20 seconds to shit.
