Original has better colors but slightly shorter lifespan

actual lifespan or battery life?

I have original and OLED is much better but people say slim is comfier to hold

I get cramps soon (2hrs) in my hands when playing my fat vita

I have slim version and the screen triggers the fuck out of me
it has a green tint that is too noticeable on some games

Lifespan.

I can confirm this happens, since you've never owned a Vita you won't notice how much shittier the slims screen is compared to the fat, buy a slim. It has better lifetime, battery and hold.

Originals are made out of metal and use OLED screens, but they're aging and won't look as nice nowadays. Heavier too.

Slims have LED screens and are lighter, more plastic feeling.

If you don't care about portability and want more storage options then get a PSTV

thanks, i'll definitely get a slim then.

I've had both and while I love my OG, I think the slim's probably the slightly better choice. Screen's still good, on my unit at least and it's much lighter and thinner. The extra battery life is nice too, not to mention how much easier it is to CFW if that's your plan. You don't need a Vita memory card at all thanks to the 1 gig internal, you can go straight from that to an SD2Vita.
The 1000 isn't actually made out of metal, the metallic rim is plastic. The whole front piece is glass though, unlike the 2K where it's just glass around the screen.
