Both my 3DS were stolen along with all of my games. Looks like its pretty free now

My original 3DS is in a bad way. I take pretty good care of my shit but I take it everywhere.

If I got a new 3DS would I be able to transfer over all my stuff like the ambassador games and (most importantly) swapnotes?

Sj Redux, but expert mode is such a chore and the fusion system feels really jank, because the demon don't inherit skills without sources which are pretty rare.

Yes, all that stuff transfers over. I even hacked the 3DS and I still kept all the ambassador stuff, although if you hacked it and didn't have it you could just download it anyway so it's meaningless now.

Do you need to stay offline when you hack it? I heard about people losing their PS4 libraries when they connected with a hacked Vita.

3ds games are stored in .cia files. They're installed through a program called FBI

The N2DSXL has the same processor as the N3DS, but the sylus is tiny and the battery is slightly smaller. The system is made entirely out of a cheaper plastic though. However if you have any degree of common sense you'll be fine

If you want a New 3DS, get the original if possible and not the XL (the original New 3DS has been discontinued for years, so it might be tricky. Meanwhile it's looking like most stores are no longer selling the N3DSXL anymore). Otherwise the N2DSXL is fine.

2dsxl feels kinda cheap but the screens are just as good as the more expensive ones and it literally weighs nothing so it's very comfortable to use, even for long times

plus, you can get it for like 100€/$ on sale and it takes half an hour to hack, I got the Pikachu one to replace an old 3dsxl and never looked back

Are those grip attachments any good or are they a meme? Do they help with playing for extended periods?

Well I only ever purchased a handful of games for it but I've beaten them all (besides Shinobi but I don't even know if I still have that copy) so I guess I don't have an actual backlog.
I have however hacked it and downloaded a fuckton of games but since they were all free I really feel no obligation to finish any of them.

If I had to choose I guess I'd eventually like to get back to Shovel Knight. Beat it once,started a hard mode playthrough and a Plague Knight playthrough and haven't finished either.

My 3DS is still pretty much brand new, very early on I bought screen protectors and cases to not scratch it, however it also made me wary of playing it, and it didn't stop the analog stick from coming off and the D-pad from peeling away.

I feel like people understate how much of a design abomination the original 3DS was.

My Circle Pad's support just fucking disintegrated a little while ago in the middle of playing Metroid and I haven't been fucked to replace it yet. I don't want to have to replace the whole thing; can't I just stick a coin the size of the pad in there and call it a day?
