There's no logic behind it.

How about being able to carry over 400 recovery items?

Make it easy so a platinum game can actually sell for once.

Still talking about this game?

When will trannies and weebs grow up?

normies

You are weak minded and just follow the trend of "lol weebs, this game's shit cuz...uh trannies and weebs". Although the masses of 14 year olds who cannot keep their dick in their pants definitely ruined this game's chance on ever being discussed again properly... Still: Fuck off.

Because in hard more enemies 20 levels lower than you can oneshot you ez pz.

It has been discussed already. Are you fucking retarded?
It is also pretty self-explanatory.There's nothing to discuss about it,the ending is percetible

Shut up bitch.

They didn't want to make the game too difficult I suppose. It's fine, it's their decision really. Would have been nice to have a mode for people who are level 99 to re-play the game on however.

It's kinda funny how it is the extreme opposite of MGS Rising where you rarely blocked(I know it is pretty cheesy in MGS rising but I never blocked)

Illusion of skill. Square Enix wanted the FF fan base to enjoy it.

Most people don't use the dodge or block buttons in action games. They just mash attack and take hits until they have to use a heal item/spell and repeat.

The primary audience is JRPG fans, not action game fans. The latter still has the option to play stylishly if they want, but doing so isn't promoted in gameplay. And that's perfectly fine, Nier is not Bayonetta.

>The primary audience is JRPG fans, not action game fans.
T.never used pod programs
You can pull off crazy shit with those things.

>The primary audience is JRPG fans, not action game fans.
Can confirm. Went into this expecting Nier Gestalt with slightly better combat and got exactly that, and I was satisfied.

Most people (like PCfags) went into this after seeing Platinum and expected MGR where you can just parry all attacks instead of dodging them all.

>T.never used pod programs
The spells in the first game were better. I miss Dark Lances, man.

Because the game (like all platinum games) is designed its highest difficulty, where you're not allowed to get hit once

It's also why healing is such a tacked on afterthought

Thread over

Can't tell if they were better because i didn't played the first one, but automata programs improve the gameplay a lot.

Most of the pod programs are from the first game except worse (or nerfed), but there are some good new ones like the Nero snatch or time slowing one.

I would have been fine with pod program if slashing bullets reduced the cooldown. Why remove that mechanic? Lazer and the time bomb were both awesome, grapple saw use as well, but working them in feels so by-the-numbers when it's always the same timing
>You are now imagining being able to cancel directly into another Lazer because you cut through so many bullets
No reason not to have 3 tiers of each program when you charge the button either

>I would have been fine with pod program if slashing bullets reduced the cooldown. Why remove that mechanic?
Having a mana bar was just better, it made the game feel more like an RPG. Cooldowns are lame. At least, cooldowns you can't shorten by doing certain things.

Wait they did do the 3 tier thing I'm fucking retarded

>It made the game feel more like an RPG
Absolutely true, but considering how tacked on the heal menu is I'm pretty sure platinum wanted to keep consumables sidelined as much as possible so Very Hard players wouldn't have to deal with menu anyways

What was the logic behind having an exp bar that ended up ruining everything when buying chip-space was already progression?

To increase the damage you can do with counters on very hard

Platinum doesn't really understand the RPG aspect of the original Nier or how the game was never unbalanced in spite of reaching level 99 in it. They tried to do what the first Nier game did while also not leaving the comfort zone of their "Platinum standard gameplay" and the mix didn't really come out very well. It's still a good game until you try to re-play earlier sections and realize you're too high level and the level system is now completely fucking pointless.

what do you mean? some bosses rely on it
did you even play the game? why would you ever have a cooldown on dodge
