Current season is ass. Penumbra looks like it'll be more of the same. They're not communicating Y3 at all so you're investing playtime into something you have no idea how it'll turn out.
September through December last year was the best time to play D2, honestly. Black Armory was okay, I guess.

Nah, the game has no scaling so most of the endgame requires multiple people but for some retarded reason they did not implement matchmaking or in-game lfg. Even with worse shooting Borderlands is a better game.
Borderlands > Destiny > Division > Warframe > Anthem.
