GT5P>GT3 Asspec
Why did everyone like prologue so much again? other than the awesome intro video
2 and 4 are my favourite GT games but all of them until 5 are awesome
5P is the definition of quality over quantity. There isnt much there, but what it had was really really fucking good. When 5 released it seemed like such a downgrade.
I played this game last only as a kid but I still remember my Pikes Peak ('96) Suzuki Escudo
right now im through all the B races on GT2 and ive got a nice skyline fully tuned
We have the same opinion on best games. But pretty much what that other user said about Quality over quantity. GT5P has little, but it's as close to perfect as it's gotten, IMO.
>tfw I tweaked a mustang in the analyzer menu and ended up glitching ti to go 250 mph on the test track
does GT5 just get really easy like GT3 and GT4 does after a few hours?
They all get really easy after a few hours, user. My favorite (GT2) becomes a breeze when you get the Silhouette Formula R31. GT1's the only one that stays hard. God damn, that game's unforgiving.
>win a sprinter trueno 2 times
>check 2nd one
>worth 250,000
wat
for me, it's the Audi S3
787B
i think the glitch works better with the pikes peak
SOUL
PT Cruiser
The 2nd one is probably the Shuichi Shigeno version. The one with the black hood and the new rally engine after Takumi blew the old one.
The Tommy Kaira ZZ2, a car which never actually existed.
>AT
>ASM
>TCS
>yfw getting the TOMS castrol supra
>not punishing yourself by buying the PT Cruiser as your starting vehicle.
I remember this game having phenomenal graphics for it's time and that it still holds up well.
Damn, I never noticed the game subtly calls you out for being a pleb. Kek.
>not getting the mazda miata
yea thats right i am
>not getting a free Miata by getting gold in the B License tests
Escudo was awesome, bought that and was able to coast through so many cups it was insane
GT4 upscaled with texture filtering still holds up to GT sport
the only thing you can't do in GT4 compared to a modern sim is oversteer on power (drifting for my initial d boys) and if you could I would still be playing it
>tfw remember dad playing this game
>cheering him on every race
>watch him get that Formula 1 car
>hype as fuck
>next day when he boots up the game he sells the car or deletes his save I forget which
>baffled
>thinks he's funny because he copied the save over to another memory card
My dad's an asshole.

This is the most nostalgia inducing OST I know of. It's perfect.
>Oversteer on Power
Well, you have Enthusia for that.
as a kid that design floored me
I still like it cuz it so ridiculous
but yeah super fast.
ive always been a fan of skylines in lower tiers
pic related I just bought for fun with all the scrub cash u earn in the start of GT2
would luv 2 git my ps2 back. I even still have a wheel
>play GT3 in 2002
>just buy all the upgrades
>no idea what they actually do
>just win with a faster car and ramming CPU players
can someone explain what the actual fuck the limited slip actually does? i remember buying it one time and it completely fucked the cars handling
This one as in every GT.
Been literally 20 years and still recognised and followed along with that almost immediately.
Although GT4 still has my favourite OST of all GT games.

Any GT I do the same progression
Corolla Levin > Viper > Viper GTSR > Supra > whatever the OP car is.
I dropped the series with 5
>Enthusia
The handling model in Enthusia is fucking wack, A low power FWD wagon should not be kicking its ass out in a 35mph turn like what happens in Enthusia.
How good is gt sport for singleplayer
I used to think you had to buy the sport upgrades before buying the pro upgrades. Wasted so much credits doing that.
I only started tinkering with the gearing and suspension and using manual transmission in my most recent replay of GT4.
Still fucking nothing. There's more events now, at least. But no real sense of progression since your "Daily Workout" spinner gives you OP shit at random. Not to mention it gives you duplicates on top of duplicates and you can't sell them.
miata>old 80's miata>skyline>till i get something OP like the camaro race car
I go for MA70 Supra -> Lancer Evo -> 500k Racing Car -> OP Cars
I don't think I ever got too far in this game but I loved it
i did that with the turbo upgrades for some reason
ARE YOU GONNA GO MY WAY
What's the best realistic racing game on pc? Preferably with a cool career mode
I miss the GT1 racing modification upgrade for every car. It really felt like the culmination of an epic journey you had made with your used family shitbox when you were able to finally bring it with you all the way to the big leagues.

What is it with GT and Kino openings the only bad ones are the Euro GT2 intro and the GT Sport intro.
As an Amerimutt, I actually prefer Just a Day.
Speaking of that garbage Euro GT2 intro. I love Faithless, but that remix is abysmal.
yeah lads ive changed my mind, this isnt what i remember lmao

US wins for 2
>pc sims
>cool anything
AC is the best driving but the career barely exists and the multiplayer is basically unless you want to join some discord and do a 2 hour race on late afternoon on saturday/sunday
RF2 has the absolute best physics but no career it's very much a work in progress and also pretty dead online
Pcars2 has everything you could possibly want in a sim but 90% of its cars drive like absolute shit and its AI don't seem to be affected by weather
just buy FM7 on win10 or emulate GT4
I recently replayed through 4. I would say its the perfect installment but the soundtrack was not as good as any of the previous and I hated the hip hop and dad rock.
My memory of GT5's soundtrack was of extremely bland stock instrumental rock music like you'd find in a German job simulation game. It did a lot for my dislike of the game.
Feeder, Ash and Jimmy Eat World are cheesy bands, but I loved them in GT.
Ash just rocks in racing games in general. As much as I love Lose Control, Orpheus from the Burnout 3 soundtrack is my favorite song by them.
As someone who dug the jazz style of GT2, I didn't mind most of GT5's music. There's some good tracks there. Isamu Ohira's music being omitted is still criminal, though.

The racing soundtrack picks, on the other hand, were mostly shit. Besides Two Door Cinema Club, London Elektricity, and, of course, Daiki Kasho, there was nothing of note.
This god machine.
>DU DUDU DOO, DU DUDU DOO
>WAKING UP AT 12 IN MY CLOTHES AGAIN
God, the early NSX is such a sexy machine. Too bad I'll never afford one.
>tfw you'll never get your hands on a low mileage, un molested r32 gtr cause zoomers are driving up the prices
>FEEL MY HEAD EXPLODE
>FROM A NIGHT OF GIIIIN
>ANOTHER NIGHT ALRIIIGHT

>1000 hp
>mid engine
Do you want to die? Cause that's how you die.
A man of fine taste I see.
It's not an mr2 so I'll be fine.
I went to a Feeder gig last year and they teased the crowd with the opening bars of Just a Day all night. When they finally played it for the encore it was a super long version and the last note went on for like a full minute with the guitar held over his head. Unironically one of the best gigs I've been to. No people younger than 30 there.
thats so fucking cool
The S2000 was where I really got a handle of what it was like to play GT games. It was just fast enough to show me that it was going to take a genuine increase in skill to get further in the game.
>tfw saw an na3 the other day
God modern supercars look so fucking ugly now.
>tfw could have won the TOMS supra from the vitz championship race
Everything went to shit when they banned pop-up headlights.
That's what happens when you leave a woman in charge of design.
That shit is what made GT3 so much better than any other game in the series. You could win a car that opened up a ton of possibilities, a car that would challenge your driving ability, but later entries in the series you would win a championship and just get a shittier version of a car you already won with.
For me it was the Viper, I was forced to actually learn how to slow down and corner correctly to avoid burning out the rubber early on longer races.
not even a competition you fags
What are you talking about? Pop-up headlights were banned by international safety commissions. They felt they were more likely to fail than a fixed headlight, and also that they were more dangerous in case of hitting a pedestrian for some reason. I'm pretty sure the wedge-shaped car doing 120mph is the dangerous part, not the headlight that might be sticking up.
I think GT3 has the worst progression of the first four games mostly due to its very limited number of starting cars. You can either buy a shitbox and grind the same races for while which is immensely boring or get a gift car from licences which annihilates the competition, making the game equally boring.
I also find the huge number of laps in Professional races to be annoying. 30 minutes of racing against AI which is nowhere near fast enough simply isn't interesting.
mabye too many possibilities, they should have added a power cap to prevent using over power cars so people might have to tune the car a bit
I think what he's saying is that the new nsx is so ugly cause the designer is indeed a female.
DIG THROUGH THE DITCHES
AND BURN THROUGH THE WITCHES
AND SLAM IN THE BACK OF MY
DRAGULAAAAAAAAAAA
Honestly, I don't hate it. If only it weren't named after one of the most gorgeous cars ever built.
GT3 probably has the weakest early-game of the GT games. It's my least favorite "classic GT" for that reason, I think. It does get better in the middle/late game though.
More like Boomer ricer culture had turned so many into irredeemable abominations.
>that memory of finishing all the S-licenses with my friend
I want to go back
>get a gift car from licences which annihilates the competition
dont even have to do that just win some event
>rally engine
It was a racing variant of the same engine. Like open-wheel racing.
Female designer or not it still would've came out looking ugly since all modern supercars follow the same design trends nowadays.
Explain the Senna, GT-R, and new Supra.
The NSX looks great compared to other modern car designs.
Boomers don't like japshit.
Getting a 900+HP Escudo is nice, finding out you can buy parts to boost it to 1700+HP is great.
Those all look like shit, almost all modern car designs are fucking trash.
Six year old me vs the danish champion of GT3.
He had been driving all day, at a car expo I can't quite remember the name of.
He set it all up. Special Stage Route 11 reversed, Mazda 787B.
Taking off, he managed to get a slight lead on me. However, he didn't really care much until he noticed I was still sticking to his tail after the first round. I remember fighting for at least a couple of rounds. Having noticed me on his rear, it was quite clear that he increased his pace. I was struggling to keep up, and eventually binned it. Race over.
He told me I was the best driver he had been against all day, and he had been driving against adults.
GT1 and GT2 were fun to play with and against my dad, but that man lit a flame inside me. Ever since, I'll still return to the track, with the same car, same setup.
Maybe one day, I'll meet him again.
And when I do, I intend to beat him.
exactly, they look like shit, why does a woman designing the NSX make it look worse than these other ugly cars?
The NSX is the best looking sports car I've seen made since the turn of the century.
How sheltered are you? Boomers fucking love miatas
>why does a woman designing the NSX make it look worse than these other ugly cars?
because incel
I really hope you're not implying any of those look good. The GTR is pigfat, supra is now a Z4 with a body kit and the senna is just a soulless cashgrab.
>grinding Costa di Amalfi rally over and over to win the Toyota concept rally car that sells for quarter million
Every entry had at least one unbalanced way to earn money. Biggest issue in the series was being able to grind to an expensive car that would let you win tough races without much effort.
It was only when I got to GT World Championship in 4 and the power advantage disappeared and I got my ass kicked that I felt I was forced me to learn to drive properly. The licences provided walls of text for techniques but they didn't really implement them into the tests all that well.
Are you? Every miata I've seen is driven by a zoomer. They're all over social media.
youtube.com
this and the it when it was decided to go twin turbo hybrid the idea was novel but developement hell made it late to the turbo hybrid performance party
Fucking this, boomers don't give a fuck about jdm. They're the reason why foxbodies and f bodies are shooting up in value.
I thiiiiink you're mixing up GT3 and GT4. "Special Conditions" with the exceptionally short races.
They were amazing for making money.
Miatas/MX-5s are cool, but like the Hyundai Coupe, I've never seen a man drive one.
He means meme boomers. Thirty-somethings.
MY FUCKING NIGGA
i think it only took like 10 minutes to do
Which one should I do first? Wanna get these outta the way before the GT League
GT1 and 2 can be beaten by playing each championship exactly once and without licence prize cars. It's actually a pretty fun challenge if you haven't tried it.
None. Or just one. Endurance races are super boring.
Pretty much, all the cars from their era are gone now so they're going after cars from later generations that haven't shot up in value yet. Pic related is a perfect example.
FC3S rx7 infinity
see
I like them, user. They give you neat prize cars, too. Also needed for 100%, right?
Yeah they are. Well more power to you, the shortest enduros are the IB ones.
Anyone here love rwd car but hate the shit spinning when accelerate even installing enable esp still sucks spin? Seriously this game make me force me to use awd and fwd because how easy the control.
I know it's Acura but seriously why did they give it a civic's grille?
It's like if Porsche modeled their next gay-ass 4 door fagmobile or whatever the fuck off a passat.
Doug DeMuro did a vid recently where he reckons late 90s/early 2000s era sports cars are going to explode in value in the coming years as cars increasingly become more hi-tech focused. I think he's right - that it will be an era looked back upon fondly where modern high performance was reached but hadn't yet been drowned in electronic controls and features that would date current cars heavily. So now's the time to get them.
>the shit spinning when accelerate even installing enable esp still sucks spin?
H-huh?
>some boomer has been trying to sell an 80's thunderbird turbocoupe with a blown headgasket and ruined paint for $3k usd for months because it's """"rare""""
>GT3 comes out
>I basically learn to drive from it
>GT4 comes out
>Includes the Nurburgring
>Unlock Super GT/ GT500 class cars
>Spend every year since doing laps of the Burger Ring in some of the finest race cars ever created
It's bliss, boys
Endurance races are amazing
I look back to the good time where I had friends and my best friend and I drove every endurance race together. At the half of the race the other one would drive so it was not tiring but fun. We did that at the 24h on GT4 aswell. Those years were the fun ones I guess.
That's cause kikes like him keep giving those cars exposure.
RWD oversteer is part of the appeal. Personally I love that it forces me to be subtle with my inputs. Admittedly, for GT, this is hard to do outside of emulators because the game doesn't let you fine tune your controls.
>Now's the time to get them
Fuck. I gotta get my hands on an Mr2 NOW?
I remember I never did the 24h endurance from GT4 until I met a friend who also like Gran Turismo YEARS after. We made a night of it, shit was fun as hell.
>tfw learning to adjust camber and stuff
>actually fuck with gear ratios
>dont neeed the fastest car to just completely blow everything away
>Viper
>Viper GTS
My nigga.
>tfw GM made a prototype with a five speed manual but never put it into production
It would've been perfect.
Aston Martin Vanquish. The patrician’s choice.
Gran Turismo has been sponsoring this race since 2004 and even the town of Nurburg/Adenau attribute GT to the race's growth. Better than LeMans.
It's called automotive design language, cars made under the same brand share design cues.
Post Gran Turismo cars IRL
It's a blessing and a curse. I love the Nurburgring and I'm happy it's gained traction with GT's help, but Kaz's search for motorsports clout after getting his first taste of the 24hours led to a lack of direction for the series.
There's a company called three pedals that makes manual conversion kits for them.
Why don't you root for the actual animegirl car? It races in Super GT
Bit of a tangent but I went to the states recently from yorup and was struck by how common those modern Mustangs are. Here you'll see them occasionally but it seemed like every zoomer chad in a snapback hat and vest drove a Mustang. They were as common as a family car. I thought the point of buying a car like that was to stand out.
>PT Cruiser
Checks out
youtube.com
>tfw holding breath while this plays
It was the head of Opera Performance that introduced him to the VLN, so blame him too.
>It's a Miata
God I miss land barges so much.
>It's a fucking Vitz
Pic Related. Yes, I had a Gameshark. No I didn't give a fuck.
Me too. When it comes to GT1 I'll still be forever salty that PD changed some of the best Racing Mods (TVR Griffith variants, Dodge Copperhead) before being released US.
>youtube.com
Depending on what's in your garage and what version of the game you're playing, I would go with either the Trial Mountain 30 Laps or the Apricot Hill 200Km. Both of those use road cars, with Trial Mountain geared towards under 300 HP cars and Apricot Hill more for higher-end sports & GT cars. Trial Mountain gets you a All-Japan GT500 Supra if you win it, while Apricot Hill nets you either a Lancia Stratos or a shitty Dodge Viper GTS-R.
>tfw winning THREE (3) skylines
>Vitz
Oh no
>Vitz Cup
Oh yes
Now's your chance to get one, boomers are beginning to sweep them up.
>tfw didnt know about saving before last race of champsionship and finishing last race over and over to get the best car
youtube.com
>A triumphant, satisfying track, a reward in itself after a grueling championship
>Repurposed into a disappointing reminder of mediocrity
Why did they do this?
>when you put your hard earned credits on a TVR for the first time and could barely control it
>tfw want a caprice coupe but they're all niggered out
It's not fair.
>mfw my dad bought a 1986 cadillac brougham

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN
I WONDER IF I'LL EVER SEE YOU AGAIN
Gran Turismo is now the primary sponsor for the Pikes Peak Race to the Clouds.
>Still no Pikes Peak Hill Climb in GT Sport
*laughs in basketball american*
I mean when turning you need slow in and fast out, but in gt123 when out from corner you can spins out of control when accelerating (i love that viper on gt1 and gt2). Esp / stability control can be bought and enable but still spin when accelerate. Force me to use those superior fwd/awd/4x4 because you can just fast in fast out from corner without worrying to spin.
Yes it is, but easy money and trophies i just use gtr or anything nissan made like race penzoil, calsonic gtr, daisin silivia, zexel etc.
Gran Turismo singlehandedly brought the JGTC/Super GT/Super Formula series to an international audience
When? Recently? Cause that's not surprising since they're still fairly cheap.
Delete this.
No hes right, there were the special conditions in GT4, and iirc one of them let you win a Cien, along with that RSC rally raid car
It was maybe 6 years ago, he would drive one and keep the other in a garage. He recently sold them both.
AYO WHITEBOI I HURD YOU LIKE BAWX CHEVYS, CHECK OUT MAH WHIP NIGGUH
the Zonda baby
>yfw you want to make something new but the fanboys won't let you and insist on constant remakes
Feel bad for this guy, he just wants to advance. Happy Horacio got all of the early exposure from Kaz, sure he is thankful.
Any subhuman who does this to classics deserved to be lynched.
oh right I forgot all the design cues the ford GT takes from lincoln
or what about the porche and passat one
or how about the dodge viper looking like a jeep
man that lexus lc500 sure reminds me of a camry something fierce
literally and laterally as well fuck off
muh Silvia but it was in GT4
Reminder that Honda made Integras but since Americans refused to buy them, they did a small redesign and had them released under Acura. The headlights are the biggest change they made.
I would give my left nut for an integra type r.
>Need a Vitz to do the Vitz cup
>reward is a Vitz
will never not make me mad
theres a 1/4 chance of the TOMS supra but my fuck what is the point of having a VITZ
the beauty of it is there's a wealth of knowledge, parts and aftermarket about those cars, imo you still stand out from all the truckolds and crossover's
tfw you pull up to the dream car race
no one can take these sexy car ridden memorys
I got mono when I was in the 6th grade and wasn't allowed to play sports or go to school or anything for 4 weeks. I played through GT3 probably 4 times trying new cars and shit each time. I want to go back.
>classic car heavily represented by authorities in the late 70s to late 90s
>that happens
Why?
Cuz we was kangz n shiet.
Niggers see the police as their proxy fathers and both hate them/want to be more like them.
Because they don't have real fathers.
>race is 10 laps
>oh boy here we go
>space out
>9 laps already gone
Didn't you ever hear that joke?
>Why do blacks buy cop cars so often?
>Because they want to know what it feels like to sit in the front.

Came here to post this. My brother.
