I'm a newfag that got into the series with Tropical Freeze and DKCR. I've finished 1 and didn't super like it, but I'm trying to get into 2. Any tips for a beginner at the SNES games? I like the speed but the hitboxes feel wonky and unforgiving

I like DKC1 mostly out of nostalgia so I can't bring myself to replay it as much anymore. Played through 2 once and found myself pretty bored, maybe because I didn't like the level themes and music as much, do never bothered moving onto 3.

The first DKC is the best, prove me wrong.

The bonus stages in TF is one of the laziest things I've ever seen.

3's take on getting DK coins was a neat idea but they sadly didn't get creative enough with the steel barrel and Koin placements. Half the time you just need to toss the barrel to the wall behind the Koin. They might as well have just done DK coins the same way as in 2.
