MW4 for sure. MW2 was supposed to come out last December but has since been postponed until MW4 comes out. MW4 will have a campaign, multiplayer and 4 player co-op (no zombies). MW2/3 are campaign only and were made just to get people who didn't play those games to get caught up. Blackout will get a modern warfare update. Lee ross (ex-head studio director for IW zombies) has moved on to working on treyarch, and blackout specifically. He helped on making Alcatraz. Shit on me all you want, i actually enjoyed MWR and the supply drop system in that game.
The grind is well paced, you can work on your camos and unlock new weapons from time to time.
The gameplay is still good, it rewards positioning over twitch aiming which is what i personally prefer.
I really hope for MW2 remaster this year.

So since a campaign is confirmed for the next game, how would they do that without a story? Just random missions?

cause them saying five or six times "we don't plan to have campaigns anymore, less than 3 percent of players ever even started them" seems pretty fucking concrete AGAINST it.

Black ops 4 didn't have a campaign because it was "far out". it originally had time travel, and you going to the past to stop events from the previous games. the campaign team deiced against making a campaign and using the assets they had for them in the BR mode

COD4 was the first game I had at home that I hooked up Xbox Live with so it was one of my first multiplayer experiences, then I put so many hours into WAW and MW2 during Junior High, MW2 being my favorite

Haven't played them much since BO2 but I thought WW2 was pretty good aside from the maps although that might be an unpopular opinion

Haven't been his excited for a Call of Duty game in a long time though especially with a lot of the original Infinity Ward guys coming back over from Respawn. Been playing a lot of Infinite Warare lately and it's easily the most underrated COD although not exactly what I want from the series, but you can tell they poured their hearts into it and it makes me have faith that they'll do something special with a return to a Modern setting

Just play Modern Warfare Remastered like everyone else. I can't even imagine sitting around waiting for teams in Ghosts in 2019.
