Because ranked means nothing to me when the game has a press button to win system, and quickplay is where people go to dick around so you can't play a real match in it. Ranked, and eSports in general have turned what should have been a fun game, into absolute cancer. There is also the whole meta game which forces both teams to pick very specific counters instead of being able to just play the hero you enjoy.

Paladins is objectively better in every way. It's ranked mode has a pick/ban system which should be a standard for all competitive games. You are never forced to play a hero you don't like. People make an attempt to win in quickplay. And best of all you don't get banned for saying "GG", there is even a voice emote for it that you can spam after a match.

Its hardly built for esports. It didn't have any spectator modes or systems for it initially. Theres no balance for it, no bans, or anything to make it interesting.

Esports is an excuse to cut development costs and put out fuckall in terms of content.

But muh balance (that's still shit anyway because Blizzard can't balance to save their lives)

At it's core, it's a really fun game. The problem I think is that the skill ceiling, especially for some heroes, is extremely low - so there's not a lot of replayability in that regard. And the 2-3 maps and heroes Blizzard puts out per year just aren't enough to keep the game exciting.

The meta is shit and the characters are boring to use, give me some fucking dota fun time where even if the game is shit I can at least do Radiance Aghanim Shadowblade enigma shenanigans.

Having too samey units for balance and playing it safe for the E-sports cashcow is what ruined this game for the common folks.
