I don't see why P2 wouldn't work well outside of the fact that the adult cast in Eternal Punishment might turn a lot of people off. Also the lack of social links unless they decide to implement them in.

If it's just a straight up port of it to 3D I'd be happy enough, but I don't have that much faith in them not to mess up or purposefully change something.
Maybe I am just too wary though, since remakes don't have very good track records.
Also, I don't think they really need remakes, at least Persona 1 still holds up. Though seeing some things from them in 3D would be so neat.

Since there's a Persona thread up I wanted to ask, why the fuck are the only people in these games who actively use them are the MC, his allies, and a group of villains? Surely out of the millions of people in Tokyo, there has to be more than a handful with the potential to awaken a Persona yes? Someone mentioned before that this used to be the case pre Persona 3, and that random NPC's would be walking around with them as well. It's weird.

A Stylish Action game where you play as Akechi, tailing the Phantom Thieves. You play through all the palaces alone, fighting through waves of Shadows in Real-time action combat.

No reason really, Personas are actually just special snowflake powers. You saw people walking around during the Dark Hour, but nothing came of it except them getting mauled by shadows. Hell, in Persona 4 most people could probably awaken a Persona by accepting themselves, but again they'd likely get killed by shadows.

In P4 and P5 the only way to get a persona is either if a god gives it to you or if you know someone with a persona, which limits that quite a bit.

I think Philemon and Nyarlathotep decide who can awaken a Persona. Pretty sure everyone is able, just some are chosen. I think P3 is an exception because they kind of force them out, but I haven't finished that one yet so I'm not sure.
SMT demons and devil summoners also exist in the Persona universe even though they haven't been acknowledged since P2.
