story?
After emerging from a dungeon, Link is haunted by a ghost who you learn wishes to return to his old home... When you arrive there he sees it's all just empty and falling apart, and asks you to take him back to his grave to rest in peace...
Yep, thats a keeper.
and it's not even the most kino moment in the game either.
I love it how kino is usually always subtle
What does kino mean specifically?
>kino
>Yea Forums post pop-shit
every time
more
kino means anime as fuck in terms of set pieces and characters
for example, the battle with orphan of kos is kino
Yea Forums created it but it basically just means the absolute best most high quality moment in games
>soulless remake
>kino
It's something you either develop the sense for or you don't, nobody can explain what kino is unless you already know what it is
Same as nobody can explain to you what SOUL is unless you have a soul and inherently internalize its meaning
Soulless plebs can not understand these concepts
If only you knew just how fucking wrong you are
The ending of Wonderful 101
>Comparing Kino to Soul/Souless
NEW BAD
OLD GOOD
Don't have a screenshot or exact timestamp on the moment
But the time you get the Kaiser transformation and it just goes ape shit beserk and destroys the bosses
So just have the opening instead
youtube.com
Also I am more of a Dragon Quarter fan, but I can't deny how good 4 is, it was my first BoF game.
>remake
wut, look at the buttons
it just means high quality, classy, super cool, heart wrenching, beautiful, etc. more or less just "good and artful"
Its a unique unforgettable instant classic kind of moment
Example of someone born without a soul (after they ran out of new souls in the turn of 1999/2000)
Chills. CHILLS the first time. Cements Glenn as my favorite character in the game.
It's Japanese for Mushroom, which is particularly odd since none of the pics shown so far show any mushrooms.
youtube.com
Specifically the intro at 1:02. Anyone who denies this isn't worth listening to.
Sometimes I wish Link wasn't a silent protagonist, but that's just me.
i cried
Highest level of motion picture quality and no, Yea Forums didn't make the term.
Music was perfect
>Atomic bom explosion in Fallout 2008 and Modern Warfare
>Shepard meeting Sovereign
>Anything from Metal Gear Solid
>John Marston's death in RDR 1
Kino means peak aesthetic you uncultured morons.
well, did you?
No cost too great.
No mind to think.
No will to break.
No voice to cry suffering.
Born of God and Void.
You shall seal the blinding light that plagues their dreams.
You are the Vessel.
You are the Hollow Knight.
What is this?
Dark souls 3
>Getting back in Ishimura in Dead Space
>Anything from Hearts of Stone in the Witcher 3
I hate how painfully linear all souls are after 1, and 1 is painfully shit after anor londo.
I flipped my shit the first time i saw that
didn't ask
Kino as fuck
It's the name of a traveller who only stays for three days and nights.
This game was just one kino moment after moment. Bless those crazy aussies.
Do people really think this was cool?
Whirlpool rain dance blastoise often followed by a Venusaur that sunny days after wasting turns letting you do anything you want?
The only good part was Snorlax.
A few other moments also count, like the bronze sphere
Megalith gave me the chills. Right afterwards the game, as a teenager I instantly planned for NROTC and had this fantasy of being the chad who crashes in training but would be fondly remembered by my family
>PCB hasn't been posted yet
Disappointed, but expected.
that smug smirk tho
>If the world says it's a mistake to love you, then I'll fight the whole world. I don't care how much pain you feel.
>Eat my arm, I don't care. Just leave me the other one. I need it to clobber the jerk who made my Velvet cry.
>anime as fuck
hello underage redditor.
Ophelia?
>reach the end of the final dungeon
>protaganist from the first game is waiting for you
the fact that red's team wasn't smogon tier is irrelevant to the kino-ness.
and the fuck ton of theories that came from this
This whole thing
yfw those 3 notes start playing...again
ZETTAFLARE
This and the final shot of the kids coming out of the classroom.
that's kinoko u faggot
New remakes of old games are inherently soulless because the only reason for somebody to try to recreate someone else’s work is for a soulless cash grab. Nobody who creates good art willingly wants to copy another artist’s work unless they are a hack or are being forced to by an executive with money.
Like the only time in the game where this blue/slowmo afterimage thing is used, but the intro with that effect and the music just at the end of its motion lets you know that this is going to kick your shit in like you haven't been prepared for up until now.
yea buddy
blur*
I agree but at this point hes solidified his place as a non verbal character. to switch that up now would be blasphemous
3DS version did the moon better
That whole game was fucking an endless ride of kino goodness
>That whole train segment
>Drachmas quest
>Every Gigas boss fight
>Vyse as a character
Fucking love that game
>I agree but at this point hes solidified his place as a non verbal character. to switch that up now would be blasphemous
All the Links are not the same. They have different abilities. Having one that is talkative wouldn't be bad. The PR guys just need to manage expectations. It's all about predicting and managing the response.
>dat butt grab
Johnson's got a johnson
>"kino"
When will this shit die?
I never understood if their relantionship was actually supposed to be romantic, the game never really shows something that would imply interest from Velvet and Laphicet feels like a kid that was infatuated by an older girl, and said infatuation would go nowhere and eventually disappear, which makes a relantionship between them really out of place.
Then again, I wasn't able to get all the conversations so i'm not sure if something actually came out of it.
>Those three notes
This exact moment is the best part of all souls games.
>Guy asks what something means on Yea Forums
>Most replies are actually giving him the correct answer
I'm shocked.
So, what are the chances they don't fuck this scene up in the remake (if they ever get around to making one?)
>playing games about Nazis for Nazis by Nazis
Oy vey
perfection
DS3 had so much fan service but this was easily the best use of recycled DS1 shit
The opening section in Majora's Mask when you first enter Termina is hands down the best gaming moment of all time
youtube.com
For all DAS3's flaws, this was the perfect way to end the series.
based
I still get feels over this.
This has been one of the best fights in the game for me, felt so good even though it was easy
>mfw like 90% of the games soundtrack
GAMERS ROSE
God, watching Laphicet grow from an emotionless husk into a boy and then into a man made the plot of Berseria 10/10, it had such a great cast. That shit was definitely the best moment of the game.
I CLAPPED
Absolute plebs on Yea Forums (read: capeshit faggots who watch nothing else) and Yea Forums (read: 16 year-olds who have super high opinions of themselves) use the word "kino" to ambiguously describe something they think is cool or striking, but because this group lacks the critical skills or vocabulary to actually dissect and articulate what's appealing in what they're looking at, they shorthand it by saying "kino."
If anyone says "kino", you can automatically disregard any opinion they have because they're mud-sucking turboplebs.
Actual spoiler(out of context, though)
"Get to your vehicles! We go to war!"
REX
Flip that motherfucker upside down and do some sudoku.
>Not the meteor scene where they tell the gods
>IT DOESN'T MATTER, FIRE!
Absolute bottom tier mystery dungeon kino taste, user.
Still the greatest.
I agree with you man.
Why does the german flag have a mcdonald’s logo on it?
>see gif
>music instantly starts playing in head
That's how you know true kino.
I'm still baffled how people shit talk this game for having bad characters.
FF6 is the best game ever made by far, such a masterpiece
The whole thing leading up to Raem and Memoria's fights but you get the idea.
[PANIC]
means movie in german
That final boss was crazy shit for a nes game.
That’s like saying Gary wasn’t hard after the E4 or Elvarg is a hard boss on RS; yes as a grown man who now has access to a massive wealth of info so far as the games meta as well as the trainers themselves it wasn’t that bad but upon release these things were undoubtedly kino
Still one of my favorite final bosses, and the grand orchestral theme for Vergil 3 is such an underrated final boss theme.
I'm glad to be surrounded by men with elevated tastes.

This intro nearly makes me cry every time, I don't know why but it funking gives all the right feels
Dee Dee Dee was alright...
>wake up in an unknown facility
>sneak your way to the armory
>fight your way out through the command centre
>you were in UNATCO level 3 this whole time
>this track begins to play as you make your way past your former allies

I've never said it before, but this is true kino.
I like to collect every piece of fanart of this intro.
first time nakarkos
Kino taste
Metroid Prime 2 had simple themes held up by excellent visual/audio motifs.
The whole ending to Terranigma hell even the credits are pure kino.

LEAST KINO LEVEL IN THE GAME
>Be me on my first playthrough
>Be really immersed in the story
>Wait, hold on, this place is full of massive canisters of ambrosia vaccine and people are dying out there
>I'm taking one of these fuckers with me
And I carried a canister from the literal bottom of that shithole prison all the way to the helicopter.
This was a huge pain in the ass, probably added several hours to the mission because you can't easily carry containers AND respond to incoming gunfire, and if you succeed, the game doesn't even so much as acknowledge it. You can see it sitting next to the helicopter pad as you fly away, leaving it behind.
Fuck that level.
There is no way the remake will do this scene justice.
whole game is kino
When you get to the secret final boss and it turns out that the grid background from the intro is the final boss arena
the waterfall scene with the statue and the rain' asmr is more kino: youtube.com
The hospital part of mgsv is pretty neato
A man of culture I see. That was an incredible sequence.
>Yea Forums makes fun of "Cinematic" games
>Yea Forums religiously praises "Kino" games
>"Kino" literally translates to "Cinema"
At least "Ludo" means 'play'.
The whole rescuing Kaz mission, excluding the Skulls part, was top tier. Actually, when I look back on the game, all my favorite moments are from things not involving the Skulls or the super natural shit.
harmless banter
Be honest Yea Forums, did you actually understand this scene the first time you saw it?
Nowhere near as kino as this
What I don't understand is how there are actually enough idiots who misunderstand it to fuel an entire meme that was eventually even addressed by the voice actor himself
like what?
I've never actually seen the full scene in context. How far into the game does it appear?
To a kid playing it, it would seem pretty weird to them if they didn't grasp the full implications of the fake laugh, or mistook it for bad acting.
post yfw
Shows up several hours in I think 5-10 maybe? It's just after you finish the blitzball tournament arc in Luca and set out on the road finally.
The entirety of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
Zelda is a Nazi game
What the fuck retard.
Apotheosis
most kids haven't learned about the concept of a coping mechanism
user I was like ten when I first played it and it was abundantly clear what was going on. It never even entered my mind that someone could possibly misunderstand it until I found out about the meme a few years ago.
Fucks sake they laugh for real not five seconds after the meme clip ends.
Your hands upon
A dead man's gun
Another 911 is required
Both good choices. The most kino moment in that game for me by far was the neutral ending sequence. I didn't get spoiled and it's executed perfectly.
this but unironically
I love the textures in this level
Kino
Adjective
(Usually used to describe media) Of the highest quality.
All the more reason to love it
This first execution always felt like it had more impact than the rest.
What is this setting meant to represent in terms of culture/folklore?
i was also lucky to not get spoiled i played the game like the week it came out because i noticed one of my favourite artists at the time drawing art about it, and quickly found out it was an rpg where nobody had to die so i played.
though i enjoyed the game i still kind of hate it because it came out on my birthday and now i can't escape seeing it every year online on my birthday
agreed, kino
Funny how the example you used is of a section that sucks because it's entirely too easy to miss a jump and fall all the way back to the bottom of that section. Atmosphere in that section is dope though so kinda a mixed bag.
Canonically the final area of Dark Souls, with the repetitive cycle having left the world to crumble, and the only two people left among it are a slave knight who hungered for any scrap of humanity he could find, and an ashen one not fit to rekindle the first flame. Duking it out in one of if not the best fight in the Souls series. Shit's kino.
Dem Spartans thicc
watching ma dagon getting btfo by martin was fantastic honestly
finished this game 10 minutes ago for the first time
I'm not sure Yea Forums memes can die.
Game?
patrician
The part where all the color comes back and the enemies reanimate is so good.
Is there a single series with more kino moments than Soulsborne?
Ludwig tops them all, with Gael's arena and OST being a close second
definitely kino
Red's Snorlax and Espeon alone are harder than nearly everything else in the game.
Scorn, it's not out yet
Childhood alienation and the rot beneath the world.
You'll notice that children wearing the spirit masks of the four final bosses run around playing in this ethereal childhood space, without a care in the world, while the child wearing majora's mask is curled up under the tree, crying alone between his knees, seemingly unable or unwilling to play with the others.
Additionally, all the children have the face of the quest giver, the happy mask salesman. This is ominous because he's a macabre quest giver: he intentionally doesn't have animation transitions, causing him to warp around and move in ways that are highly unnatural, his desires are unknowable, and his adult face being under the masks, which represent blights on elements of nature, implies a connection between these elements of nature being incomprehensible, corruptible, and spirits unable or uninterested in saving the world or comforting the skull kid such that he wouldn't feel as he did when he decided to end the world.
I was going to post this and I just noticed someone beat me to it. Dang.
>I thought I could walk off the battlefield and into a normal life. But here I am, surrounded by death, arguing philosophy with terrorists.
>I told myself this was about justice. About protecting the weak. But I was wrong.
>I learned young that killing your enemies felt good. Really good. In America, my friends, my family, they helped me forget the devil inside.
>But who am I kidding? I was BORN to kill.
Pure kinocore.

MYYYYYYYYYY SWEET HOOOOOOOOOOOME
I meant more the huge lone tree atop a hill in a plain area. I remember there being some sort of Japanese significance to it but not exactly what.
>Your body submits
>Your heart succumbs
>SO WHY DOES YOUR MIND RESIST?
Bumping this one. What an emotional mindfuck.
My offering is pic related.
Ace Combat is full of these moments.
>Yes
Seto in Cosmo Canyon was pretty great
weird, not sure how your pic got 404'd
If you really want to look at it through the cultural lens, solo trees on hills are a "proposals of love" and hangings thing.
I'd still argue that solo trees in a peaceful, grassy, sunny space are cross-culturally symbolism associated with childhood, see also The Giving Tree, the movie Up, and My Neighbor Totoro's usage of trees
>the moon shot in portal 2
that was cool
>The many miles we walked, the many thing we learned.
Jesuschrist, i cried so much.
it's italian for "film"
A lone tree symbolism is a very general thing that is used all over the world.
I like the new electronic/heavy metal theme, but it could hardly surpass the awesomeness that are Vergil 2 theme and Vergil 3 buildup.
>It corrects your portal color if you shoot the wrong one
I just wish Valve had the balls to give a BAD END if you screwed it up
fuck, shitty sound mixing aside this scene is true blue kino
Thx, looks pretty interesting, I'll be keeping my eye on it
they probably had to do it since the scene makes it seem urgent to shoot and some players might shoot the wrong color making them think they screwd up and ruining the pacing of the scene if you had to start over for screwing up
>He's played Estelle's games
A+, user.
Beautiful
My mother, to this day, mocks me for crying my fucking eyes out as a kid when the pig sacrifices itself
I couldn't be consoled at all, apparently.
MM was peak kino
they gonna nerf dr boom hero and savage roar for next cycle
Sure you already had fantastic four building and so many other Easter eggs that were pretty much right in front of your face, but when you found this hiding in the corner of a map it made the weird foggy New York City skyline feels so much bigger
DMC3 was rivalry kino and fierce anime rivalries are my absolute jam.
>Welcome to Alefgard, the world of darkness.
This whole final act I can see why it tops Japanese best game of all time lists
The entire game.
>That one instant where time freezes before all hell breaks loose.
Yeah that was definitely good.
>The scream it does
ME 1/2 had many moments I really felt were kino-tier.
ME2's suicide mission was interesting and was a good climax to the game (even if the boss-fight wasn't). The theme is also fucking great.
ME1's Thorian was really a "wow" moment for me. Really loved that whole scenario.
ME3 had some really memorable and good moments as well, but the game itself was meh.
Well, fuck. I'm not going to play this unless I get more to go on. Whats so special about this final act? Is it like FF6? Maybe tell me one of the twists and leave the last one out or something?
ME1's entire climax, from Ilos onwards.
I don't agree at all that they HAD to do it.
If you look at other puzzle/adventure games, the classic first person example of the genre Myst, and in that game If you play like a moron, freeing either other of the brothers despite piles of narrative clues implying this is a very bad idea, you just get trapped for eternity. Additionally, if you ignore Atrus' warning to not use the linking book because you're a scrub, the game has no problem saying "Go reload your save, you've fucked yourself and you deserve the loss".
I'm aware that Portal is higher tension and the moon is meant to be a surprise, but it speaks to a lack of trust in the player and poor execution of the scene if Valve can't trust players to, after playing their entire game about linking two holes, link just ONE more.
The freedom to fail is what makes a puzzle interesting. A puzzle you can't fail isn't a puzzle, it is a stalling tactic, and in a puzzle game, stalling is filler and filler is bad.
mgs4 is super fuckin gay fan wankery and your heartstrings are way too easy to manipulate if you were anything but pissed off at how easy the final fight was by that point
One thing mass effect always did great was it's OST.
Vigil is, easily, a song that makes me get a bit teary everytime. It's pretty peak "born to late to explore the seas, born to early to explore the stars" to me
>not including otherworld scene right after beating a boss
My guy.
>mfw I realized that Lavos had evolved so perfectly it evolved it made a decoy body and it's body is actually the right floating pod
The cosmic background alone during the fight makes it kino; it's practically screensaver-worthy.
unironically agree
Today it seems like fucking nothing but having Knuckles final boss take something that up to this point was a 100% bonus that had nothing to do with the stories of the games and USE it against you blew my little mind.
It's almost like a rite of passage in the comics how often this plot device seems to pop up.
>that blood curdling scream from Ciel
Holy FUCKING KINO
youtube.com
When it happens, you just know
Red's team is pretty good in HGSS though. Had fun coming up with a strategy to beat him with my underleveled team.
Moment that you and Raziel both realize that you've been the soul reaver the entire time.
And, of course, Vae Victus.
You have to play at least Dragon Quest 1 first for it to hit you, it's a prequel to DQ1. But the real spoiler is you don't really see how it's a prequel until that moment. In a nutshell it's sorta like going to Kanto after you beat Johto in G/S/C and fighting Red, but way better. This is all on top of the game being amazing so far so at this point your amazement is through the roof from this.
May not be your thing though.
Yeah but in the actual game there's no spoken dialogue.
No way. If he said a word during that Saria scene it would have ruined everything. He says all that needs to be said with his body language. That's what makes it kino.
>That way he lingers in front of her, takes a few steps back, then quickly runs away out of the forest
Perfection.

Your heresy has been duly noted.
>bad, low polygon games good
>good HD modern games with not shitty controls bad
Yea Forums continues to be /vr/eddit
>That way Shadow slips into his skating animation as they speed up
SO FUCKING GOOD.
Gonna piggy back off mine() to shut you up.
youtube.com
Shame Zero 4 is the only one with voice tracks.
That should have been an option in Collection similar to how you could add 3 E-Reader cards.
>good HD modern games
>muh CRT is best for muh retro!
name 500 games where this is true
Here is a modern game (albeit mostly bad) that has a couple kino scenes. pic and video related
>You have no right to see him. You have no right to exist....
youtube.com
>redditfrogposter
>can't actually name good modern games
>has to deflect with ridiculous question
Classic. Unlike your modern games.
>no argument
BTFO. Try harder next time, Sega shill. My taste is way better than yours and you're coping
Its russian you moron.
>people sharing their love of games
>faggot who can't comprehend anything older than he is comes in with le meme toad
>not even providing an example of a good recent moment
Just leave, you're actively ruining the board.
Seriously, what the FUCK happened to Sonic? Why can't we get games like SA/SA2 again?
that shit was gay
This one is actually so fucking good and I wish it got more recognition. An explanation.
>Game world takes place on two titans, humans on one, machines on the other
>Main Character has sword which allows him to see the future
>The game utilizes this in combat by showing you 'visions' the MC has that will tell you if an enemy attack will either severely damage or kill an ally so you can prevent it
>Near the final stages of the game, you leave your titan, climb to the top of the other one, and fight the leaders of the machines
>He takes control of the machine's entire titan, basically controlling a fucking moving continent
>You suddenly get a vision during the fight that zoomes out to show the entire game's world of the two titans, showing the villain slicing humanity's titan in half (killing everyone on it)
>Countdown starts to stop him
So good.
One could argue the final chapter is more kino, but I still love this chapter the most.
Game honestly has a ton of kino moments, the race against the Chariot Master is another one that comes to mind. And the part with the girl and dog and Magnus.
>he needs me to spoonfeed him
Yet another retard BTFO for life. Yikes!
Well Yea Forums, does this board have good taste or is it still shit?

fuck off with your random flamewar bait
These are all fine games.
Donkey Kong is the only one that genuinely doesn't belong, replace it with Wind Waker & this becomes perfect
DKC2 is one of the greatest platformers of all time and basically, you're a fucking faggot
Windwaker is pretty good though
i cried so much during these parts
Ocarina of Time's ending is one of the greatest endings of all time. I could put any part of it in this thread and feel satisfied. But I wanted to point out this specific part.
youtube.com
>Zelda's lullaby being 'sung' solemnly in the background
>suddenly stops
>Navi flies away, leaving your side for the first time in the game
>Link, who just fucking saved everyone, pauses a moment, turns around, then simply fucking walks away like he'd just got done doing a nice afternoon's work (as opposed to the hellscape he just journeyed through)
>The camera lingers on the Master Sword, panning down
>Bells start sounding in the distance
>"PRESENTED BY"
>"NINTENDO"
It's honestly staggering how completely fucking prideful and arrogant of a move it is, only acceptable because the game was so fucking good it earned it. That ending is Nintendo sticking its chest out and saying "Yeah we just made the best game ever. You loved it, bitch".
Plot makes no sense but that doesn't matter
I don't remember there being anything in the backround but blackness. Am I being boondoggled right now or did I miss something?
Windwaker used to be one of my favorite games of all time. Then I replayed it and... why is this happening, Yea Forums?
Yes. Yuna tells Tidus that he needs to stop being such a fucking downer and laugh. Tidus, who just found out devastating news and doesn't want to deal with Yuna's shit laughs horribly to annoy her. He ends up making fun of himself and laughs it off, and Yuna joins in and it turns into a bonding moment, building up the relationship so it doesn't come out of left field.
I don't understand how anyone could not understand that unless they skipped all of the dialogue in the game.
AA in general has a lot of kino moments
1. It's blantantly unfinished
2. Extremely slow paced
3. No worthwile content, basically on rails masquerading as Open World
4. Story goes to shit once Tetra becomes Zelda
5. Sailing was mindblowing as a kid, but tedious once you revisit after the nostalgia wears off
Not to mention any time Graaf shows up.
>hey kids, want some power?
Surprised this wasn't posted yet, this scene and everything onwards is kino
The midpoint where wheatley gets switched with Glados is kino too
...
these "people" are the majority of Yea Forums now
Gotta admit, this gave me chills the first time this entire sequence happened.
oh, my bad
The actual moonshot itself and figuring out that's what you're supposed to do was cool, other than that it was meh.
Hello friend...
Thanks for your input reddit! upvote +1

damn this actually brought a tear to my eye i fucking love majoras mask so much

>hold me, baby!
I hope someday that this Elite comes back the same way Johnson did and says how he got back was also classified lol
The ending to Trails in the Sky First Chapter. I won't post an image or explain any further for the sake of spoilers, but it's my favorite ending of any piece of entertainment ever. It's telling that I had just exhausted myself of 5 hours of play grinding through the final dungeon, defeating the final boss, then watching all the final cutscenes, only for the ending to hit me and make me IMMEDIATELY rush to by Second Chapter and start downloading it.
You do realize "that elite" is the arbiter right?
REPLICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Unreal 2
Hate this shit. Dying on a cutscene has got to be the worst way of telling a story. Specially since he died to mucks.
This is a bit of a niche one, but the opening sequence to Dark Falz in PSO was kino as fuck the first time I played it.
youtube.com
I remember playing this game for the first time on SCHTHACK with some other guy who was also playing the first time. We went through the entire game in an afternoon and beat it together and were like "Wait that's it?" and found out that the core of the game is grinding through the same dungeons over and over. Some hacker gave us some crazy ass gear later.
I ended up moving on to PSO BB later until the server crashed. Moved onto Ephinea a few years ago and I have a level 103 character on there. PSO is seriously one of the best games ever made.
Really? That just makes it fucking better. I never realized, since Arbiter is pretty serious and I wouldn't expect him to grab Johnsons ass lol. I really think the Halo universe needs a funny sanghelli on the level of Johnson though.
Kino means a moment in a game/movie/book that has an extremely high artistic value. A moment that gives you goosebumps or just takes your breath away with its greatness. Kino moments can last for a few minutes or even a literal second, but their impact is something that humans in general can recognize in the moment, and that's how you know its real and not just part of your imagination.
Kino moments include:
>ending cutscene of Shadow of the Colossus
>the fight in Ico where the black creatures come out of coffins on the walls
>when the music starts for the Gwyn boss fight in Dark Souls 1
>seeing Vendrick as a hollow in DS2
>seeing Infested Kerrigan for the first time in Starcraft 1
>Illidan's speech to Tryande about how "he will always care for her" no matter what he becomes
>Roxas in KH2 "looks like my summer vacation is over"
>the entire Pokemon Trainer Red fight in Pokemon G/S/C

Sauce this is some well animated shit and i need its name

osu 2 had a better moment when the second team started helping you in the penultimate song and then the chorus kicked in
>Cutscene
>Worst way to tell a story
What did he mean by this?
Yea Forums didn't create it, mong. they took the word and shaped it, but it existed before Yea Forums knew of it
>The world's last, best hope
>VS you
NO ONE STOPS
I won't lie, not officially.
My favorite MM moment is now and forever the miniboss fight in Ikana Castle
>Seems like the king is bemoaning his fate
>Suddenly reveals he was mocking you as the guys you fought were shambling zombies
>Cue two stalfos guards appearing by his side
That's not Arbiter. Arbiter was a fleet commander and had fancy armor. He wasn't a low tier baby boy Elite in blue.
Are you implying people didn't understand it? It's not like there's depth to it, Tidus straight up says what the point is.
It is, in my opinion, not a good scene, and I know a lot of people point to it as if this shows that the game has bad voice acting, but their saying that (and being stupid/wrong) doesn't excuse it from being an obnoxious scene.
No, that whole plotline is fucking stupid
This moment is so much worse without the
>I MADE A MISTAKE.
HA HA HA HA
ARCHER
CHOPPER
EDGE
SWORDSMAN
ENGAGING
Would you say the community in Ephinea is healthy and friendly? i've been looking into trying the game out again, but got bored playing alone last time.
>That fucking horror-like music that plays when you find out the friendly archaeologist is a total cunt
Yeah goddamn, I normally take long breaks between JRPGs but I started SC the next day.
Is this maplestory?
...
God, character movements are so fucking terrible in Bioware games. It's like watching a Gmod Youtube video.
it's yume nikki remastered
The entire 20+ minute cutscene just talking with him. I loved every minute of it.
UGH
S-CRY-ed
Story is OK. Animation is fucking top notch
Kino
That moment is majora's mask always reminds me of that part in fable where you are at your house with your sister but it's fake and shit gets progressively worse and worse the more you try to leave or pry into things
I think that's how it went, it has been forever since I played it
Yeah, this made me shit bricks.
SSI would be a really cool fight if it made more sense in the narrative.
Black Ops 1 Zombies Moon watching the Earth get blown up was pretty kino desu
why does the grass look like relish?
I always thought the swordmaster bit was sad af too
To put things into perspective: as a 10 year old kid, you beat the elite 4. Then you find out the game is only about halfway over. Your hype goes to 10/10. Then you beat the original 8 gyms and find out there's one final dungeon left. You're going through it expecting a Mewtwo or some shit. Little do you know that the original trainer is waiting for you.
It's probably the most kino moment in any game of my childhood.
that's the shit
This is the most badass line in human history.
Ace Combat?
it is fun but the game is relatively low population.
Definitely worth trying out if you never played and if you can play with a couple friends
>S-CRY-ed
Oh shit i forgot about this show
That Ryu is fucking dead.
shit spooked me when I was little
Pretty much any scene with this motherfucker is kino. But the cutscene before and after Mission 19 are end to end kino.
As striking as this scene was, it doesn't really mean much until you understand the concept behind the villain of Majora's Mask.
Once the final battle starts, in its second form this song starts playing: youtu.be
And the Boss itself starts running around doing some bullshit and just enjoying itself, and I got it, he's just kicking the shit, he just wants to play with you, he started causing chaos because he was bored and wanted someone to play with.
This seems obvious from the start of the game in the moment you meet him but I always thought it would be something more, something else. In the end that's what's terrifying about Majora's Skull kid, a kid with all that power and not a parent in sight to slap him in the face and send him back home.
>Time to demonstrate exponential growth!
>this Dante/Vergil tier rivalry gets almost completely dropped for every game after this
HOW DO YOU FUCK UP SO HARD
How do they fuck up so hard that they still haven't put Chao Garden back in?
Chapter 7 was a goddamn roller coaster of emotions for me.
>I'm the original you're just a copy....
Died to mooks after killing a SHITTON of mooks
even ants can kill a lion if enough of them swarm it
: (
>that moment when Shadow slips from being an antagonist into a rival that wants one more duel
Nothing else in the series tops it.
LOVE SAVE US ONCE
Wait. Is this DQ3? I thought this was a SNES game.
And then the kino train doesn't even stop there, it just gets crazier after this part
>Americans will never know that true snes kino feel
Crisis Zone was fucking amazing
The environmental destruction was fucking great
The original manga is also worth a read
This Furi fight.
Ah, the good old twist by our guy Uchikoshi "The Same Twist Every Time" Koutarou.
NO! HIT THE BRAKES!
>C Button supply prompt
>It's Andross on the line
The last modern Sonic game with soul
youtube.com
>tfw people made one of the most powerful moments in gaming into an ebic twitter meme
This moment is better.
youtu.be
The lines each boss throws at you during the fights is kino in itself.
>"You've given me a chance to teach my son an important lesson; that when good men look away, evil prevails."
Damn that was nice for 2008
It's got nothing to do with anime, it's a term derived from Auteur russian cinema.
You'll probably have to Google the word auteur first but hey
>Went from this
>To kind of serious intro but complete self aware joke otherwise Colors
>To Lost World and Forces
It's not "Auteur", it literally just means a "movie" in Russian, German and few other languages. Yea Forums just decided to roll with it because it sounds cool or something.
How is Yea Forums such a complete shithole and yet the most memorable memes come out of it?
Game?
they can participate in their hobby and propagate their memes at the same time, it's as simple as that
Dedede was pretty kino in Nightmare in Dreamland with that remixed Gourmet Race Dream Well music playing
>When will graphics look this good...
Do you know what the word derived means?
Because it was auteur russian cinema they were talking about.
The funny part about this statement is a relative pointed out to me some shit about how the FFVII remake is graphically on par with the first FF movie (Spirits Within) and it made me realize the only games that will get the level of attention needed to produce a game on the same level graphically are gonna be remakes that may as well be an entirely different game.
I was looking for this!
“Look, I’m a cleaner”
“Son is a bitch”
“N-no. It was me... it can’t be. It’s all a big misunderstanding!”
the only correct answer
youtube.com
Being able to bring him back as a zombie didnt help. Hearing him whimper in pain as if he could still feel his injuries choked me up. It made me feel more like a monster than when my character buried that ronin kid alive. Because it was a decision i made, not my character. RIP Carlos.
>kino
I hope this fad dies out soon
>climbing tower the whole game
>final floor is the roof of the tower
>dark clouds cover teh sky as the world is ending
>fighting the avatar of death itself to stop the end of the world
>kick ass music
>that fucking voice
oh yeah, that's kino
came here to post this
he'll be back, someday..

deadly premonition had a few that im not gonna spoil
I only play MD time, any others that are worth playing?
HURRR WHY HE NOT STEALTH ROCK BATON PASS
fuck off back to your containment board furfag
its basically a gay meme illiterate faggots use to convey a meaning of satisfaction over a certain moment in media, just like how retards use comfy when describing feel good images of shit they'll never have, etc
I really hope the remake shows moments like this in the animation style used for the reveal.
youtube.com
you see it too? for me, it's always like this
Knowing Aonuma they'll switch to puppets because it's his new hobby.
I WILL
BUUUUURN MYYY BREAAAAD
tbf, the third games twist was different (but even worse).
>collected remnant of the last embers of the First Flame
>as you carve through it it changes through countless forms
>all different but all humanoid stances
>Clerics, Mages, Swordsmen, Spearmen, and more
>the individual "Linkers" all long since lost to countless ages of decay and only their fighting styles remain
>beat them all
>the Flame goes all the way back to its first memory
>those three notes
People kept crying it was too edgy so now we're stuck with kindergarten tier stories
the game played like shit but boy was it fucking cool
why are you even in this thread
york is zach's alter ego that zach made upon witnessing the traumatic death of his mother at the hand of his father while involved with the case that eventually brings zach to greenvale. this is why every time york introduces himself as "francis york morgan" and shows whoever he's introducing himself to his badge and ID they look confused, as his badge refers to him as "francis zach morgan." york doesn't really seem to have a facial scar which is touched upon by the other characters in a few cutscenes, making it seem like they're overstating it, when in fact york just doesn't have a scar, it's zach that has it.
willie is the true evil and kaysen is his lackey
the photograph which has kaysen in it along with willie is plainly visible from the first day
>Fungo
Based Twin Perfect poster
why are you in this thread? at least post a moment you liked not just spoilers. i liked that one part with amazing grace
DO YOU THINK GAMES ARE SILLY LITTLE THINGS
>kindergarten tier stories
>when the only sonic character that's actually had the decency to stay fucking dead (more or less) was in SA1
it's a buzzword invented by Yea Forums that was moked around here until zoomers took over and the dark age began
>not her death scene
That whole game was kino.
"We' ve rescued the president!"
Personally my favorite part of DP was trying to figure out the bare minimum amount of time he had to have been on the "serial rapist law student" case he mentions in the one dinner cutscene if he was assigned to the case immediately after the first victim
"This is where the true story begins..."
my little lad mind was fucking demolished
What does that have to do with it? It's more like she's a forgotten character and Sonic Team never found a way to shoehorn her into a game besides cameos
Sekiro actually had some pretty kino shots going for it
when I was walking on fucking space I couldn't believe they pulled that shit on the Wii, granted it was mostly a skybox but damn it looked fucking impressive
Step aside.
the thing is that the game escalates into kino after kino and it's so fucking hard to keep track of all the kino going on that it's just widely accepted that the ending beats of xenoblade are just bliss
Game wasn't completely amazing but this opening always stuck with me for how well its animated.

This was the only MMO I actually liked

the end of the beat fight
HOLD MY HAND
fucking broke me
Everyone else is wrong. Let me explain.
Kiefer Sutherland ranked films in terms of quality and artistic meric, and Yea Forums expanded on it. He put up:
youtube.com
>Movies
Summer blockbusters.
>Film
More highbrow than movies.
>Cinema
Gives examples such as "Fellini" with Casanova, "Don't Look Now" with Nicolas Roeg describing them as cinematic filmmakers.
Makes use of the "cinema" i.e the theatre as a tool.
So Yea Forums took this and added two more, one below "Movies" which were shit, calling them "Flicks". This would be your personal favorite movie.
Then they put something above Cinema, and this was "Kino". Brief variants like "KINEMA" was also used for a while, which describes my favorite movie.
That just made me angry. I died more times there than the rest of the game combined bar the final boss rush
