What other game has a good setting but is ruined by shitty gameplay and horrible artificial difficulty?

It's fucking annoying, but you have to at least target one point of the body to kill anything. That's easier said than done when surrounded by four enemies, while you are dodging the entire time, but it will allow you to at least damage them. Otherwise, perfectly timed criticals will continue doing 13 damage.

When someone makes the claim of artificial difficulty it just means they suck testicles.

Saying that seven years ago might have made sense, but with all the level scaling in modern games, it's ignorant to dismiss claims of artificial difficulty.

Let it Die

It's not that it's hard, it's that it's filled with garbage scaling and balancing. Leveling up once immediately makes most of your weapons horrible, you have to invest into some of the better weapons you find but money is a pain in the ass to get before you need to upgrade again, a gun is mandatory for ranged encounters even if your character isn't built for it, specials spawn so often your weapons go to shit quickly, and finding good weapons in general is a crapshoot.

If you can make it past the first part of the island the second one will for sure put you off the game completely. It goes from scavenging Borderlands knockoff to glass weapons and always broke territory.

I've never enjoyed a from software title but I played through this, it's alright I guess

my only real complaint is imo the best weapon in the game you get from the first boss and i didnt find out you get a special version if you kill it in a certain way

you get v2 of all the boss weapons if you do them in certain ways
best weapon is actually the staff from the big sister, but staves are not as satisfying to use as single rigged so i stuck with the pax too
