What's the rarest game you own? Pic related. Was in a large box of games i bought at a yard sale. Kind of useless, but still neat

I guess GTA 2 on Steam and Halo Reach Limited Edition
Box is was good when you needed to do multiple runs of GBA pokemon games for items or pokemon.
Fire emblem fates SE i rarely buy physical but this one was the first time i ever pre ordered
Pikmin 2 on Gamecube. It's not that rare but it's fucking expensive to get hold of, even after the Wii rerelease.
Go Go Hypergrind for Gamecube. I got it for $1.
Honerable mentions go to Castlevania Bloodlines and Contra Hard Corps, got those for $1 each as well.
>Birthright and Conquest on a single cart
Man Nintendo can eat shit for selling the whole story in THREE PARTS
Dokapon Kingdom
Can we post consoles too? I saw pic related on ebay and went for it
The Majora's Mask "Not For Resale" kiosk demo cart.
Then revelations is DLC only fates was on a another level of fuck our fans
planescape torment on the dreamcast
I still have an old copy of Gitaroo man lying around in storage.
Did it work with FR/LG? I never tried to see
I got really lucky and bought it, cartridge only, off of ebay for $20 a few years back. At the time I could only find copies of it with the box, and they were selling for roughly $250, but now it seems loose copies are more common, going for like $35-40.
I still consider it the rarest game I own though.
what kind of variant is that
is that a Yakuza vita?
in my head this one is pretty rare
it did. I'd pull stuff off XD and Colosseum and stick them in there too.
Yes I loved the tattoo design in those games so I had to have it
People who do that shit with games deserve to die.
>geproduceerd door hideo kojima
Usually it's parents with who refuse to move out or moved out but never come get their stuff
Not if you're gonna sell them but I understand your point I only buy games I wanna play
Probably pic related. It's not SUPER SUPER rare by any means, but It does go for a quite a bit.
Not a video game, but I do own a PS Vita TV which isn't THAT rare, but it goes for a quite a bit. Considering I got mine fro 20 dollars and it's going for 150+ plus now, I think it's neat.
that's not actually my box, but I did find that humorous yes
Metroid Prime Trilogy steelbook. Bought it on clearance for like $25 new even. It was worth like $200 when it peaked but then tanked when it came out on eShop. Probably will tank further if an HD remake is made.
i have the unlicensed tengen tetris for NES
Vita TVs were bought up en masse by resellers who read it was going out of production and they're still in the stage where they think they can get a lot out of them just because they're out of production. There's a reason Sony stopped making them so early on, and it's because no one fucking wanted them.
In 2015 Amazon had a lightning deal where the Lego Movie bundle (Vita TV with a Dualshock 3 and 8gb memory card) was selling for $50, and it sold out within an hour. After that all the other places began to liquidate them.
Surprisingly i have a copy of Path of Radiance. Back in 2005 I asked for a copy of Wind Waker for my birthday, my dad forgot what game it was and my mom told him "the one with the sword guy"
The fortune edition of uncharted 2. Looked up recently how much it's worth and it seems either there bearly anyone selling it and those who do sell it for a very high price. Kinda makes me feel somewhat special owning it
Apparently if you hook up a GBA with a copy of Blazing Blade or Sacred Stones in it you can look at concept art. Kind of neat, but not something i would have thought to do
>got one during the sony store shutdown sale
>still unopened
feels good desu, I didn't realize that they had spiked so hard
Megaman V for Gameboy.
yeah once people realized they could be hacked prices jumped hard
never knew that existed and now I want it.
I don't own anything rare. The closest thing I have is a PSTV, which is "rare" just because it was a big failure. Its more expensive now than when I bought it though
persona 1 and aria of sorrow in box.
this and Mortal Kombat 3 i guess. sold my PS a longass time ago though so its just sitting here
Had no idea this existed and did a shit ton of trading between Colosseum and RSE. Would've been nice.
I don't have much, but my roommate had the entire .Hack collection until an exroommate stole them. Not sure how rare they are though.
>bought this off eBay for $100 years ago
>back of the plastic slip cover was cracked
I'm still mad
I don't know if I would call it especially rare, but the Wii version of Tenkaichi 3 was worth over $100 on Ebay at one point.
Pikmin 3 was also apparently scalper bait.
There's a white one too
I got mine from tokyo.direct.shop on ebay they're the only place I've seen them but it looks like they don't have any more
Mr Gimmick. Found it at a thrift store before anyone knew what it was.
It’s complete too so I’m keeping it in a vault.
the last entry (Quarantine) is the hardest to get a hold of, the easiest is like...Mutation.
>saw this on clearance/sale for like $15 a few months after it game out
>ended up picking it up on a whim since I always wanted to play them
Best impulse purchase I've ever done. Glad it was that first print thing with the plastic/tin or whatever
>2019
He doesnt have a hacked 3ds
How retard can you be
>saw this at one of those "retro" game stores for $230
>saw it again just recently at a thrift store for the same price
I own it, it's not worth that much. Also I hate the internet for ruining local store prices
After looking up both, neither are special.
doesn't mean Nintendo didn't sell the game in three parts, user
I dont have anything particularly rare, but I do have the entire Battle Network series, boxes and all, even 3 Black and 4.5 with the PET adapter. I'm proud of it all, its really the only games I ever wanted to full collect in such a manner.
Not too late to try it out. Works fine emulated.
Going for $500 on Ebay. Probably worth more since I got that pic signed at Animu Expo.
Yeah that's what I own as well. I spent 80$ on it but I felt like it was worth it because I love Metroid.
I don't suppose it's that rare, in comparison to other N64 titles maybe, but it's at least definitely in high demand.
I have Melee, TP, Fzero, PSOi&ii
Those are prob my rarest
I have a knockoff tactics ogre also
I don't own a lot of rare/expensive games. It's probably this for some reason. It's unusually expensive on eBay and for some reason the Korean English version seems just as common as the US release.
The game isn't very good so I'm surprised to see this
I legit bought Snatcher for the sega cd for $1 at a yardsale.
Made a copy of it, played the disc once, then sold it for $100 to buy weed.
>REGRET
Dude, those go for $6000-$7000 on eBay.
Having the box and manuals makes the value shoot through the roof.
This probably, or the LE of Demon's Souls
I have the Collector's Edition of The Awakened Fate Ultimatum. Dunno if rare but I'm pretty sure most people don't even know what The Guided Fate Paradox is or that it even had a sequel. I also have a sealed First Print copy of Chrono Trigger DS.
Jesus, why that much? I saw my local independent game store selling it for 50 bucks. What's with these autist thinking these games are worth that much?
Bought an Earthbound cart for $100 from Amazon about 10 years ago, so probably that.
I never realized it was rare when I asked for it years back. It was already so rare at the time that my stepfather needed to explore the entire fucking state to find a copy.
I had Misadventures of Tron Bonne as well, but it got thrown out.
>I don't suppose it's that rare
I see what you did there.
Forgot pic
I have a boxed copy of Link to the Past that I bought for £30 that's in very good condition.
My loose copy of Conkers bad fur day is probably my second most valuable game
I would have gone for this but I got the original, and I thought it was dull and uninteresting.
Traded my Wii U for a mint copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga. Worth it.
Probably a weird retail preorder variant of Pokemon Colosseum that had two discs in one case.
Usually, the bonus disc came in a separate box
It was only sold at the Pokemon Center in New York City for a year or two. The Pokemon Center has since been turned into The Nintendo Store
This and Aquanaut's Holiday are incredibly rare for PS3 games for some reason.
Hey dumbass, it's not the fact that i couldn't afford the games. It's Nintendo thinking selling the story in two full-price parts and then one DLC was a good idea. No shit i pirated those. They were the weakest installments in terms of writing anyway
Turok Rage Wars grey cartridge. was only available if you sent in your original cart due to the 2 player story mode bug.
In terms to number of copies, I have a boxed SNES Ogre Battle
What's this game about?
+twin snakes, twilight princess gamecube
The game didn't sell too well in the US since it came out at the tail-end of the GameCube's life. After that it still wasn't all that pricey because Fire Emblem hype had tapered off in the states. Then the sequel, Radiant Dawn, came out on the Wii a few years later which sent prices upward (Radiant Dawn is also somewhat expensive, but is easily found for between $65-90). Finally when Awakening came out and sent interest in the series into the stratosphere demand hit its highest point.
>Used to own both Twin Snakes and Baten Kaitos
>Sold them both to Hastings for a few bucks when I was broke in college and needed money to buy food
>$50 Radiant Dawn
Dude you can easily flip that and make a cool $100. Also people think they're worth that much because online retailers sell them for that much.
Fuck food
Maybe things like Soul Nomad, La Pucelle, Mortal Kombat Trilogy(saturn), that WW/OoT bundle, DBZ the Legend(saturn)
I really never know how rare things are. But I do know I regret not getting things like FE, SoA and PSO GC versions. Or shit like Micromachines Military and the DBZ fighter for the MD or PDS that I thought it was expensive when I saw as a kid(it was about the same price of the fucking 32X in that store)
>GC
Twin Snakes and ToS are really that rare?
>For some reason
They had a very very limited run in the States after the E3 that announced it and you can't buy either in English outside of the physical copy which was also limited in the Asian regions as well (Korea and SEA).
store.playstation.com
Aquanaut's Holiday isn't even listed on the English storefront.
Job Simulator on PS4 is another game that had a limited run since it was a VR title and now goes for like $100, Amazon right now has it for $260 (amazon.com
It's always the strangest shit that becomes really expensive collectibles
Is there much value in keeping the physical game unopened?
Have a load of unopened but still modern boxes lying around from when I preordered physical copies of games, but still caved for the cracked version so that I could play on release day.
pic related
True the only stuff that reliably appreciates are limited run games
Also Is this game actually rare or is it kinda expensive on ebay just because?
>LE of Demon's Souls
I'm still mad I missed out on this. I remember having it in my cart ready to buy on FUCKIN' GameStop's website. Decided I didn't have the money for it at the time and it sold out the next day.
>Twin Snakes and ToS are really that rare?
I don't know about ToS, but Twin Snakes regularly goes for $160-$200 on eBay.
I personally would open them just cuz I'd actually play them but unopened does usually go for more money
Final Fantasy 3 on SNES
Didn’t even know it was that rare until a friend pulled it out of the shelf and told me it’s pretty expensive now
Forgot to mention it’s still in box too
Unopened will always net you more assuming the box hasn't been damaged via shipping (By this I mean the cover art). It proves the game is mint condition and unopened meaning you can charge for "Brand New" prices, and the older the game is the higher you can ask. Hell, even used GB and GBA games with inserts and the box sell for way more than just buying the game.
nice
Honestly it's in awful condition cause I was very bad at taking care of my games when I was younger, but it still works and I do play it from time to time cause it's one of my fav ps games.
How do you know the disc is actually in there. maybe you bought a defect
True, they do it with consoles too, it's gonna fun when the battery acid destroys the boards because they refuse to break the seal. These people are in the wrong hobby, here's hoping they fuck off to the next trend in a few years.
If it's still in the box, but opened, you can easily get around $120 for it. If it's in the box, never opened, you can get over $2000 for it.
Unopened SNES games are really sought after.
>stickers that don't peel cleanly
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
not my most expensive game by a long shot but the shear rarity of this makes it worth mentioning.
Goo gone.
>vggrader
Lol what a scam that is. Wasnt the owner or friends of the owner resealing games and grading them and selling them?
I'm guessing this is pretty rare these days
E.V.O.: Search for Eden complete in box.
I never really saw the point. It feels like one huge ponzi scheme drummed up by someone who wanted to make easy money and it just kept going. It's a product, that's then purchased and kept in new unopened condition, then resold to someone else, over and over again, but no one every actually uses the product, which ironically renders it worthless.
A good sonic game? Ya kind of
apparently this is super rare Gravity Rush 3 NEVER EVER
found it, 3rd hardest to find sega master system game.
bullshit
>the cart by itself is worth around 50 bucks
I'm not sure what I was expecting
Space Channel 5 part 2 for Dreamcast sealed
the demand for the game is quite low as it is an absolutely terrible game.
it is just really fucking hard to find a copy.
fucking nice. i'm jealous
A bunch of perfect condition SNES classics with boxes and manuals. Donkey Kong Country, Chrono Trigger, FFVI, etc. Inherited them by marrying a nice weebgirl.
I used to have one of those Dreamcast Kiosk discs, it was for Power Stone and might have had an earlier build of it on it. AFAIK they were all supposed to be destroyed and you can't really find a value on them because it's such a niche thing to collect.
I forgot to rip the ISO before I sold it.
How expensive is the Lain game on PS1? I have it
I think I still have the Tabula Rasa CE.
DONT SAY THAT KAT WILL GRACE US WITH HER PRESCENCE ONCE AGAIN
ON XBOX THOUGH
Same. Currently grinding away trying to get that surfing pichu
Very expensive. Used copies go for around $400.
this desu. I grabbed it a month ago and just recently finished cleaning all of my n64 carts.
Do you have the holographic insert though?
Nice one. I still want that. They have it at a local used game shop for $45 near me. I think I might get it.
all 7 .hack games on ps2
I think quarantine has a printed out cover though for some reason which probably kills the value a bit
ayyy my boy :)
I only have the cartridge but same.
Chrono Trigger probably
>tfw I bought it for 10 when stores were clearing GC shit
Oh wow. I also got shit like Zelda 4 Swords and DK games with the bongos
I got rebirth 3's LE
A much better game
The top one is jack bros and is worth a couple hundred. Shame it is scratched though.
I got this and....
This. At home somewhere in a box
I have this but it's the metal case without the white and orange one it. idk if that makes it rarer or not.
>I had Misadventures of Tron Bonne as well, but it got thrown out.
it physically hurt me to read that
>Baten Kaitos
Brofist my BK user. I have both games in nearly mint condition. The original game manual has some of my teenage notes on the game in it. Was offered $300 for both games and my wavebird controller a year ago by a former coworker. Declined his offer.
That's not the actual picture of my copy of the game. Just some crap i found on google
>mfw I keep a rainbow six strgety guide around just because its so weird to see a published, paper strategy guide
Nice going user, I only need Twin Snakes, Ghost Babel and MG2 to complete my collection
I guess the last .hack game? I also own a Saturn copy of Dodonpachi.
I have guides for super mario galaxy 1 and 2 I wonder if paper guides will go up in value soon
>tfw my father had almost every game for the genesis and sega saturn, after he died my mom threw them all out thinking they were worthless.
funny thing is she always told me his mother threw out his comics when he was young thinking the same thing
>Metroid Prime Trilogy
Me too, but I don't have the tin. Not that I care at all, because I'm not a hoarder and it's still in a box.
Also idk how rare is vector man for the Genesis lol?
Its between that, the LoZ 4 game GCN bonus disc, LoZ OoT Masters Quest bonus disc, and apparently Yokai Watch 3.
It pains me hearing about people's game being thrown away
I have a gamespy coffee mug. It's got some fucking obnoxious pwning noobs with a rail gun quote on it
Gotcha Force
Thats for the first game
but yes I do
Same user as here.
>women
I bought this with my dick and then sold it with the box 1 & 1/2 years later. It's surprising seeing this mediocre game going for $150-$200
I kind of wish I still had it honestly, same with my Estival Versus box
I wanted one so bad :( I got the Uncharted 3 Special Edition and it was a little cheap.
How'd you get it and for how much?
Just the physical is rare?
panzer dragoon saga,sonic,castlevania bloodlines,daytona,mega man,snatcher
all in a dumpster
bro this isnt rare
shit you made my collection look like treasure then
Sums up my interactions with girls
One of my friends owns Uniracers for the SNES that is rare due to the lawsuit from Pixar due to their "allegedly copying the unicycle design and concept from their 1987 short film Red's Dream."
GOAT
if it counts i own this plush of Conker with the plastic hanger and tag still in tact
I have the special edition for Fire Emblem Warriors
I too have Kats game for the ps4 physically.
Idk thier prices off the top of my head but i got.
Xenoblade Chronicles 1
Baten Kaitos 1 and 2
Radiant Dawn
The Last Story
Shadow Hearts 1,2 and 3
SMT Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzonhua (spelling?) 1 and 2
FF12 the Zodiac Age Steel book. (Last i checked it was 80 bucks)
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Wild ARMS 1-3
Looking at my collection of nerd shit i have i realized i have a lot of rare TTRPG shit. Mainly D&D.
Uniracers was one of the first games I remember seeing, at a friend's place. Weird.
Not quite a game, but I own these two Game Boy's and a Crystal Blue 2DS somewhere.
BK isn't rare, it's about 15-20 dollars complete.
Specifically the NA Amazon version I guess. Was going to buy it for Vita but then the PS4 version was only like 20 so bought that instead.
Is there any differences between the Wii and PS2 versions?
Rarest in terms of obscurity I guess would be something like Go Go Hypergrind or Dokapon Kingdom
Rarest in terms of value probably is a never opened collector's edition of Metroid Prime Trilogy
Not that I know of, but on the Wii You can play with a Gamecube controller.
Last time I looked on ebay it was $50+ for the game due to rarity. I have no plans on selling it. Both games are 3/5 titles that were unique RPGs due to their battle system. I rate the sequel over the original due to improve mechanics.
Also fuck hiromoot for being a fag and blocking Verizon on me uploading images.
Britbong here that owns Wario Ware Twisted. Mum ordered it me off eBay long ago, still one of my favourite games of all time. Thank you mam
I have this and I hate the game so I'll probably sell it.
I'd say my actual rarest game is Tomba
Stop fucking stop
in the US, the remaster was for sale only on Amazon, for about a month.
i bought 2 copies, one when the game came out, and another a week later because a friend wanted it, but ended up buying it before i could gift it to her
I have a Pokemon Mini.
RIP Gravity Rush. The US version was an amazon exclusive. Generally if you see if a physical game is exclusive to a retailer, there is chance that it will be worth something due to low print run. Obviously not immediately, but over time.
But like all video games, value is determined if people want it in the first place. Smash Bros Melee is not a rare game, but goes for a high price.
My rarest game is probably suikoden 2, or ar nosurge plus collector's edition for the vita. Ar Nosurge plus physical was exclusive to the NISA store, but I am still surprised that it goes for that damn much.
I grabbed path of radiance for 40 bucks a few years ago from a friend. Shocked me to see that it's going for $200+ now
All I have are the Final Fantasys for the ps1 plus 2 copies of Vagrant Story and Chrono Cross, I have no idea if any of that shit is rare.
If you want a good laugh go to the Squeenix store page and you can buy brand new copies of FF9, 10 Chrono Cross and a few other PS1 titles, its really fucking bizarre
doom, every sonic game including that shitty 3d 1,clockwork knight, bug, pinball, dune, that softcore porn game. every case and disc in mint condition with those foam things in them.
all in the trash
I think it might actually be Harvest Moon 64. Ironic considering I picked it up on a whim when I was like, twelve. Then became fucking addicted to it for months. It was nice because I always had time to do a day or two. It becomes stressful if you binge it, which is what Stardew Valley changed.
I have three Gameboy Micro.
The reason you can still find them there is that they massively overprint copies.
If your FF7 has the misprint on the back, then it is a first edtion and is at least worth what you paid for it initially.
Sorry, I missed that it was greatest hits title. For some reason boomers do not want those. Probably the green.
I have all the ps1 ffs. They aint worth shit
I don't have much but I do have a loose copy of Demon's Crest.
Owning Lunar isn't anything major, but owning THIS motherfucker however
Uncle found a copy of Ultima: Escape from mount Drash in the junkyard he worked at along with a damaged Vic-20 and some other games. I was able to get the Vic working again with some spare parts and the games were all ranged from good to functional condition despite not having their boxes.
Mine looks a little more ratty than pic related from having been in the dump for a while. Mine’s also just the cassette so it isn’t worth shit but it’s still pretty cool to have an actual copy of one of the rarest games in existence.
does melee count? its expensive af now
Fuck, forgot pic.
what is the absolute rarest game that goes for the highest price?
Physical copy of Fire Emblem: path of radiance. Shit costs hundreds these days.
I don't think it's my most expensive but it surprised me when I found out it goes for $50+ used.
Seriously? Have have two boxed copies, not actually sure how I ended up with the second one.
Stores must have demanded a higher price because of it's competitive popularity.
pick one
Picked up panzer dragoon ororta for 7 bucks this summer
If I had to guess it’s the Nintendo World Championship cartridge for the NES.
probably one of the most unassumingly rarest games to ever be out there. never heard of it, that's cool user
I'm gonna say it, folks!
youtu.be
NTSC-US version of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure on Dreamcast
Bought it for $25 years ago, but then the anime happened and the price spiked. Now the lowest listing I can find for a complete copy is about $75.
I have a lot of stuff. But too lazy to pull everything out. Pic related is a few. Melee maybe not so much, and RE was in that pic by accident.
This was my father's. Now its mine
how do you play this?
Gamma Attack Atari 2600: $20,000-$50,000
only one in existence
guy who has it is asking for $500,000
I found an atari computer (800XL) system complete with some games a while back at a pawn shop, complete along with the printer and disc drive all for about $40 a month ago. Should have probably bought it since the people there didn't seem to know what it was. Which makes me wonder what it was doing there anyways.
The cases were all in really nice shape too. Should probably go check if it's been sold. The sort of pawn shop it was at (mostly deals in handguns and ski gear and power tools for some reason) made me very confused by it's presence.
Mine's probably Gitaroo Man for PS2, I bought it for $10.
Phantasy star online 1 and 2 plus for gamecube,
And a sealed stiens gate pc collectors and steins gate 0 amadeus edition.
i have
einhander
rule of rose
that gamecube zelda collection
the wii and gc fire emblem games
metroid prime trilogy in its steel case
uh, a jp copy of mother 3
knuckles chaotix and virtua figher
I don't know if any of these are all that special
this is a store right
Star Wars Return of the Jedi Ewok Adventure prototype cartridge
Not even trolling.
Bullshit Walter. Pictures for proof or you're a faggot.
Armored Core Project Phantasma.
I still don't get the point of keeping things in wrap or boxed. Why? they're all gonna turn to dust anyway
star wars episode one podracer for the n64 and dreamcast
a whole bunch of gamecube games
I know for a fact that haunting ground and panzer dragoon orta are rare games and if I got it right marvel vs capcom 2 for xbox and DOA paradise for psp got really limited runs, so I usually count them as rare
Photo stolen off google but I own the mother 3 micro complete box set.
I also own one of the jumbo mr Saturn plush they only made 1000 of.
Not my picture but it looks exactly like this. It's in a lockbox at the bank for insurance purposes. I'm going to sell it soon to buy a house.
>DOA paradise
A man of good taste. I still got my copy laying around somewhere.
You mean the game or the cassette itself?
If you’re talking the cassette you basically attached this guy to the main computer and used it like a cartridge but with extra steps. It’s a relic from the age of techno-barbarism before discs and downloads.
If you’re talking the game itself it plays like an ancient barebones prototype of Ultima Underworld. Pretty much the dungeon segments from the early games made into a spinoff.
Orta is not rare
Fair enough. Sorry if I came off as a jagoff.
>XD
That's not a boomer thing, Greatest Hits / Platinum etc versions are just gross and I'll never buy them.
With great patience. Very old computers used tapes for storage, basically played back one whole side to load which could take fucking forever. Then flip it for the next levels.
>Go Go Hypergrind
Holy shit I have been trying to remember what that game was called for ages after playing it in some gamecube kiosk
>Larry Gelberg gave the only known prototype of the game to his colleague's son in 1997, who later sold the game for $1,680.
not saying your lying but you must be looking at a cheap house. still a cool 3k-9k
No problem at all. Plenty of liars on the internet. Also forgot to mention I have a prototype of Star Wars the Arcade Game for 2600 as well. Not worth nearly as much but still cool.
This nintendofag is such a fag that owns that shitty Wii mini
>in 1997
that was over 20 years ago user, if he is telling the truth that copy would be a lot more valuable now
>tfw you don't own anything pre-PlayStation so the rarest games you own are the best Tekken, the worst Crash, and a game based off of a movie
>still a cool 3k-9k
In today's market I'm looking at getting at least 20k but it's all about finding the right buyer of course.
>you must be looking at a cheap house
I live in a very rural area so yeah I can find a decent house for 20-30k.
You dont have to be a girl to be a dumb bitch user
>Misadventures of Tron Bonne
>Mega Man Legends 2
>Dokapon Kingdom
>Mary Skelter Nightmares (Sealed)
>Solatorobo: Red the Hunter (Sealed)
>full .hack quadology (parts 3+4, sealed)
>Jet Set Radio Future x2 (both holographic covers, one sealed)
Those are just off the top of my head. I probably have a few more that are pricey
I still have cube games, any of these on the rare side?
Also DC games, same question.
Some unreleased stuff. My friend has Fortnite source code for UE3, and this was before it got popular so I cant imagine how valued that shit is now.
Even though it from japan it’s the rarest region wise I have,I bought it off of eBay when I was younger Cause apparently this was The definitive Naruto shipudden clash of ninja revolution, this game goes from the beginning of shipudden all the way to the pain arc and maybe a bit further, while clash of revolution 3 only went up to the saving kazekage arc took me hours to fucking region lock my wii
lucky bastard
broken down crack houses go for $500,000 where i live
hope you sell it at it's peak
Probably some Limited Run shit, but I do not know if that counts since it is supposed to be rare.
On this topic what are some good vita looking vitas I can buy brand new for not that expensive.
RE2 and Twin Snakes are your rarest. GC games in general are pretty valuable as long as theyre not like movie shovelware.
Ikaruga.....might be? It's the only thing that stands out.
Nothing crazy, but a lot of solid $30-$50 stuff.
Earthbound with the box and strategy guide
Is Rule of Rose PAL worth anything? Maybe that if it is.
california is some shit
Eternal Darkness is worth a pretty fucking penny
Revelations was on the cart as well. The only way you could get that one physical.
Skies of Acadia goes for around $100
PAL is limited to smaller markets, or at least used to be. The value of PAL games is starting to increase since demand is going up and methods to region-break games are pretty common. When looking at some PAL games just consider, did it get a US release? If the answer is no, the game is probably worth a bit or two.
>hope you sell it at it's peak
Yeah, I've been sitting on it to close for a decade trying to see if the "bubble" is going to pop soon. Probably going to pull the trigger on it just in case.
vancouverfag here
I am very jelly of that cheap price.
no way, I bought it a year or two ago on ebay for $50 and felt like I massively overpayed (you always do on ebay)
The simpsons hit n run
Reminder that what's happening with gamecube games is exactly what's going to happen with Wii U games a few more years from now. Get what you want for the Wii U now before the prices ultra inflate.
I'm kind of pissed I just cared to look into the vita TV recently. I don't necessarily want a vita but do own a few vita games and playing them on a TV sounds like the perfect solution.
Me here. Also
>Haunting Ground
Someone mentioned it in this thread and I remembered I had it.
Would kill for a Rule of Rose or Kuon though.
What others said. Eternal Darkness is pretty valuable now, and just a solid fucking game. Play it again.
That's desirable? Used to have Tomba, but I gave it to a friend because I didn't like it that much. Otherwise probably one of my SSI games.
300 bucks used. Got it for 7 bucks at a gamestore when I was 10. This game was fucking weird
>mfw I found 2 copies of Skies of Arcadia at a flea market a few years ago for $1 each.
edition.cnn.com
Only one exists user...
Beside the rarity the game is good?
You smug bastard
>I live in a very rural area so yeah I can find a decent house for 20-30k
I live in one of the poorest cities in the US and you can't buy a house for that little. Unless it is a shack or something.
I don't have a local source for video games at all so I suck it up and use ebay prices if I really want to own a legit copy of something. I hunted garage sales and flea markets for a few years and never found ANYTHING retro that wasn't a sports game.
Kind of want to buy Devil's Third for this reason, but it's still fucking $50.
Damn nice, I love Uncharted 2 so fucking much.
Very jelly. Fucking IFI / Amazon / resellers.
I managed to get one in the cart and everything but at the last minute "WE DONT SHIP THIS TO MEXICO". Fuck.
Dunno how rare they are, but:
Suikoden II
Xenogears
LUNAR 1, 2
Shadow Hearts 1, 2, FtNW
Xenosaga III with some holographic cover IIRC
All US Ateliers / Ar Tonelicos Limited Editions
I love Lim Ed weebshit, but I don't know which one are rare.
Pic unrelated.
I pirated devil's third, I wanted to like it because janky/mediocre low budget action games is my shit but it was pretty lame.
I lent my sister my entire SNES collection for college. Somebody broke-in and stole a bunch of crap including the SNES and the games. I have all that stuff again now.
Moral of the story, don't go to college in Sacramento (or the rest of California for that matter). Got over it pretty quickly and actually didn't give her any of my boxed games for obvious reasons.
im saving this etna
Looks like my gamecube collection could sell.
>MGS Twin Snakes
>Ikaruga
>ToS
>Zelda WW gold cover
>PSO 1&2
>PSO CARD
>SSB melee
>Skies of Arcadia
>FF Chronicles
>Zelda Twilight Princess
>Paper Mario
>Eternal Darkness
>Resident Evil 4
Got the game used at Book Off in Japan and I ordered the OST when the game was still new. Never knew there were only 1000 in the whole world.
Why the fcuking Sega dont release Orta
If is just Xbox contract, at release for Xbone
I dunno, I like to collect special editions of games, even if the swag isn't worth it.
I've got the Catherine Love is Over bundle
Bought DMCV's super mega box
Fucking fell for Saint's Row 3, it still stings. The shitty headphones never worked either.
Damn, that sucks. I knew it was bad, but I figured I could get a laugh out of it at least.
Yep, they were right on top of a pile of CD's. I never whipped out $2 faster in my life.
I HAD a copy of Earthbound sold to a friend back in high school for $10.
I am kicking my own ass for that now.
I see, that made me kinda curious, but the only thing apparently not released in NA I have is Michigan report from hell.
Bought FFVII and FFIX for 2.50 at a yard sale a decade and a half ago. I know this feel.
It's pretty rare. I sold mine for 300 AUD a few years back
Also sold him FFVI.
Also $10.
Now, why would you do that?
Supposedly they are rare, I found all .hack IMOQ new on a flea market as well. Around, $10, $10, $15, and $40. The seller knew Quarantine was very rare, but it was still pretty cheap compared to internet resellers.
I still haven't played them, currently playing Xenosaga trilogy
im not playing your game you roleplaying faggot. im saving it and you know damn well why
your collection isnt even that impressive
>The reason you can still find them there is that they massively overprint copies.
Not really. It's just that those games aren't out of print. They just make more whenever they run out
Not as bad but when I was a kid I had pokemon colosseum, XD, pikmin, air ride and custom robo and I sold them all to gamestop
Bought most of them back for 3 times what I paid
if we're posting consoles I own a 64dd
The PS1 FF games aren't rare in the slightest
Melee was the GameCube's best selling game and is relatively easy to find even if it's expensive
This one for example is pretty sought after. Not only did it not get a US release, but it's actually a pretty good game. It's one of those where you're confused as to why the US didn't get this one. Region locking is really easy to subvert on the SNES but people were kind of afraid to do it in the US until they were told how. Removing a couple strips of plastic is not going to brick your SNES but people didn't know that until recently.
dope
>looked up what this was
>this girl comes up
holy shit she's hot
>Path of Radiance actually goes between $125-225 these days
What how
My Etna collection has room for improvement I know.
HDD died weeks ago.
She came back for Pokemon Bank wearing Crocs.
she looks better here though I don't know why.
i wasnt talking about your etna collection. i was talking about your rare item collection. granted value for my shit is determined by how much you give a fuck about development builds. I have binders of development archives from studios as well as backups saved to my system for the more important stuff
James 'Buster' Douglas Knockout Boxing
and a bunch of Neo-Geo games
and a boxed guardian amiibo
I bought some Assassins Creed collection for like, 4 bucks sealed and it goes for almost $400 on Ebay when sealed.
I bought this shit brand new, with all of the collectible crap that came with it.
Traded it into FUCKING GAMESTOP.
Is that Dutch?
I have the signed version, limited to 500 copies. the book is actually garbage
Pokemon Box is really just a collector's item at this point unless you're keen on keeping several GBA Pokemon on a GC memory card
>one of my best friends gifted me this game for my birthday
>I sold it to gamestop the next week and got some shitty robot game i whos name I don't remember
Either Folklore or a complete collection of all mainline Pokémon games in CiB.
I used to own Ku-on, that kinda shit survival horror game From Soft made, but I traded it in for peanuts to gamestop and whenever I see what it goes for online, I get quite sad.
My best friend had pic related. Purchased it from Blockbuster on clearance. Him and I played that shit inside-out, as it was a legit upgrade from the initial release. Only thing was that there was barely any literature related to the release, so performing claytalities was impossible.
He sold it a few years ago at market value, which was still a boob's move, as it continues to skyrocket.
Actually Pokemon Box not only serves as a giant storage facility for Pokemon, but also allows you to play R/S on your TV just by plugging in a GBA. No GameBoy Player needed
The only thing unique I can think of is the Lego LoTR for both PS3 and Vita since they can’t be bought new anymore, but they’re by no means rare. I don’t think I ever have or ever will buy a special edition for a game, and don’t think I ever will. I once had a version of Skyrim from best buy that had a nicer map than the other ones i’ve seen, but I sold to Gamestop at some point which I now regret
post more Etna
Don't have more.
>ignoring my flex
fuck you
My N64 games are only going up in price. Same with the other strange sort of shit I bought when it had a small following, which adds to rarity.
Still hanging on to a mint Game.com since I'm pretty sure the value for that will be absurd eventually.
Still have mine and pic related
Complete and in great shape. This game was super underappreciated.
I was lucky enough to grow up playing Saturn. Though I ended up buying Rayearth recently, same with Jack Bros and Clayfighter.
How's this game?
Have all "four" for PSP/Vita. Do I have to play them in order? IIRC, Riviera, Yggdra Union, Knights, Gungnir.
Jelly of that Rayearth, how is it?
I liked the anime, and I've been craving old JRPGs lately.
Cross between Teenage mutant ninja turtles 4 for SNES and Burger Time for Intellevision, burger time is probably rarer though because it's both older and has the entire box + Manuals + overlays
I have a few, but this is one of my favorites.
It’s pretty good, a fun action-RPG game. I honestly only picked it up due to its rarity and having the disposable income though. I have no attachment to the franchise.
Sorry, I don't know what the fuck a flex is. I see it mentioned a lot recently, but being a 37yo boomer, I don't keep with the latest memes. Fuck you too.
>37 year old boomer
equivalent would be "showing off"
>$400-$600 on ebay
What the fuck I remember this being like 12 bucks in a bin when it was new
Actually forgot, I have an authentic, working Frogger arcade cocktail table in storage. It works and has very few scratches. Got it off Craigslist for 285 USD about a year and a half ago. Not really sure how rare or not it is. Thinking about restoring it to factory condition.
Not the one I've got, but it's pretty similar. I find it funny because they're kind of made out of the same material as public school desks and chairs from the 70's. Which ironically, US public schools still use to this day. Shit is solid.
Barely worth replying to this thread but I have all of "Operation Rainfall"
Nice, I'll look for a ROM / ISO later.
this motherfucking game. what an absolute gem.
Lots of FB images suddenly make sense. Thanks.
How is Last Story or Pandora's Tower? They worth playing? I only played Xenoblade Chronicles.
youre too old user. youre not even 40 yet and youre too far disconnected
> rarest game he owns is digital
LMAO
Not an official game you retard, get that shit out of here faggot.
Elaborate! Betas are tight.
rarest thing i own is source code. since it started digitally does that matter
Where do you asshats get these figures from? Do you go by the "new" price on Amazon. Jesus fucking chirst. I bought it for $35 on ebay last week. Half the people in this thread dont know what rare is or how to even properly guage a value.
I havent checked... how bad are the prices?
>Elaborate
quite literal
What the fuck is this name?
There's no way of quantifying how available it is as a resource. Without being able to recognize the size or the influx of supply, how can you properly assess the demand?
In solid goods we've categorized it as "priceless" which is a way of saying that the value of something is subjective, like art.
damn they look like 3ds carts
I guess these are the rarest?
I have Path of Radiance on GCN too.
It makes sense. I feel like the N64 was pretty niche overall. It occupies such a strange space for being so culturally relevant to videogames, while having relatively few releases, with so many niche offerings.
Aside from 4ch and FB, I don't use anything else so yeah. I suppose all these new things come from youtube or twitter or instagram or whatever.
Since years ago I started playing more videogames and lurking less and less.
How is GTA2 rare?
That't not the Limited Edition.
im not talking about GTA2. if anyone insists its rare theyre retarded
Goddamn.
Anything interesting?
RE2/3, Skies of Arcadia, Twin Snakes, Eternal Punishment, Ikaruga, maybe Killer7 but I can't remember
They are about $40 each. I'm more concerned if the games are good, due to the time investment.
Pikmin 2 on gamecube
Godzilla Unleashed on the Wii
This and a copy of Jet Set Radio Future and the japanese version of Project Diva F
I guess I should also add the physical copy of Katamari Reroll for switch since Namco wanted to sabotage that game as much as possible for some unknown reason
Im such a fucking moron.
I sold off so many I'd ny games and wholeheartedly bought into the digital distribution scam.
I should just bite the bullet and start dropping 300 per Saturn game now because it's only going to get worse.
It's challenging, It's like Final Fantasy Tactics/Fire Emblem. Idk about the order of games though.
Castlevania Legends and Link's Awakening (lol) both CIB that I posted in a few threads already
What do you guys use to check the prices ? I usually use price charting but I don't know if is really that accurate.
>Anything interesting?
unreleased PS1 port of Urban Assault plus PC source, Stars Premiere League sequel source code (theres no sequel released so unreleased sequel source), 115 builds of power rangers light speed rescue
Other such things. My buddy was the one that got the Spongebob Supersponge sources which was a gold mine too
Yeah, I always heard these 4 games had "strange or unconventional" gameplay, but fun.
team buddies
arent you a gen Xer?
my bad, i forgot to mention i bought it in parts.
Im not lying there were several going for $60-70 just last month. Some of the auctions went for like $50ish. All together it cost me $55. Im befuddled there is none that cheap at the moment. Maybe the director leaving caused a panic, dont know what to tell you.
gamevaluenow.com
Next time stop going by "New Prices".
I have one of these signed by the team. I love it.
I also have Tomba 2
I fucking loved that game. I feel like it's just ebay bullshit for the prices. The gamecube version goes for way more.
Probably Megaman Legends 2.
the postal movie was good
I though Gen X was up to 1980.
Yeah, but no one wants it. I just picked up a used copy for $43
I see, no prob.
I also find weird to compare rare titles against Amazon prices, you usually find them cheaper elsewhere.
Is collecting rare games just buyfaggotry? Most are already emulated if you want to play it. Seems like a waste of money unless it brings you happiness for having something most don't have like other collectable hobbies.
im sorry i blew up on you friend, the thought of shelling out $150 for shinovi versus got me angry for some reason
I just don't prefer emulating over playing on its intended console
Can only vouch for Last Story. I got mine for 30 and it was well worth it. Not as good as XC tho.
Are the DJ Max limited editions arctually rare? If so that might be it.
Kinda. At first I would buy rare games that I really liked. But then it got to where i was buying rare games because they are rare. Id rather shell out the asking price now than fork out double down the road.
By the way preorder the limited edition of Sengoku blade on playasia if your a shump fan.
No way in hell FES is worth 30. I bought a copy for my brothers birthday for 10 off Amazon complete. Like a year ago.
I prefer physical over digital always, so if I want to play a game I want the disk or cartridge to play it on. Rarity doesn't matter, just effects the price and availability.
Pandora is cool. Its like a Zelda dungeon rush. No outter world just dungeon after dungeon. Has a cool waifu mechanic
Still get this brand new sealed on Amazon for $15-20.
I have the Special Ed for DJM3P (PSP).
I coulnd't get the TECHNIKA TUNE VITA one, nor the XONIC one, fuck. Great games.
rarest was a PS2 Debug unit and a PS3 DECHA A00A Debug unit. I sold it off sadly but shit with ps3s being easily moddable gamecube games are not rare. Just because fucking collectors are spiking prices like certain PS2 games and N64/SNES/NES games they are not rare unless its known. Its like a fucker selling any mario game for over 50 because RARE OLD SKOOL when I can find the shit at garage sales for 5 bucks or less
Saturn is rare
>unless it brings you happiness
That's the core reason for a lot of things. The older you get, the more sentimental and nostalgic for older things you have or had. However if you have no attachment to the stuff, especially the really old stuff, most people will emulate.
Some stuff I prefer to get because I cannot emulate it well, like PS3 games. Most are still cheap.
Thanks, I think I will get it then.
Old 3DS/PSV pic, I have to take new ones for the current collection.
Still salty I couldn't get the Nep Rebirth 1 Lim Ed.
I got the Famicom one for a quarter at a swap meet basically new. Mine was a japanese import and had II instead of I
Only 4000 of these exist and I purchased it before indiebox decided to jack up the price on their boxes.
>Thanks, I think I will get it then
Glad to hear Sakaguchi makes some of the comfest games ever IMO. The Last Story is probably the most comfy. Play it with a pro controller.
shit I still have the box even though its fucked
never expected to be rare
Boxed version of EvE Online. Not sure how many were made but I’ve been offered as much as $500 for it
nerd hehehe
>Demon's
I actually got mine second hand from some eBay store but they had put some packing tape on the cover for some inane reason; when I pulled it off it messed up some of the art a tiny bit on the cover and I contacted them about it and they just said to keep it and refunded me.
I paid real money for the Black Phantom Edition though.
I don't really collect LEs or anything but Demon's Souls is one of my favorite games and fondest memories.
>people spurge out over this
>no mention of arcade cabinets
They're not in rich asshole territory any more. I'm always looking for closed-down arcades that will sell them off. I'm after an area-51 arcade cabinet from a place that closed-down. I want it so damn bad guys. The owner kind of wants to keep it. It's this, time-crisis or house of the dead. I have to have one of those cabinets.
How is dynasty warriors next? I'm considering picking it up
Project Justice on Dreamcast. Holds a bit of sentimental value to me as well. Back in Middle School when I was the deepest in my fighting game craze, the Dreamcast seemed like heaven to me cause of all the Capcom fighters. I saw videos of all the unported Capcom games on it and PJ immediately caught my eye since I recognized Batsu from TvC. Over months I'd occasionally watch gameplay clips and look up art from the game
I didn't have a DC and PJ was expensive as hell at around $75. I wanted it so bad that I just got the next best thing, Rival Schools, and played that a ton on my PS2.
Years later I finished High School, had a job, and could finally afford PJ and a Dreamcast. The fucking game was over $150 now. To this day it's still the most expensive game I've bought that's not a limited or collector's edition of some kind.
I liked it, but it's the only Warriors game I've played.
I hear 8 XL Complete is way better.
Probably these three.
I never really collected LE's either until I felt so sore about missing out on Demon's Souls because I liked the game so much that now I make it a point to always buy them if they're available for a game I'm purchasing. I probably would have been pissed if I missed out on the FE Fates SE if only because I like the idea of having all three games on the same cart, but thankfully I got a preorder in shortly after it was announced.
>quarantine still commanding 100+
I hate it.
Pic related, but my friend stole it.
got an atari 5200 from a thrift store for 10 dollars
Also got some original xbox kiosk thing there too never got it to work though
I have 8 xl and it's just a console port but in a good way since its portable
The only reason I hadn't gotten next is cuz I figured 8 xl was just better
I'm jelly of your Vita LE's. I was planning on getting all the Nep LE's until I saw how much the first ones was, same for P4G.
I think it's sentimental but also the LE had the much, much superior artwork in a nice package. Normally LEs are full of trash or way too expensive.
I also have all the FROM Soulsborne guides, and apparently some now are quite expensive.
Break his legs
Yeah, I wanted to play 8XL after 7, but people kept saying the Vita port was shit, that I better play it on PS4, so I was considering getting it, but I forgot about it.
I guess I'll try it later, it can't run worse than Corpse Party Blood Drive.
In hear if I rebuy old games I sold when I was a dumbass I'm a poser and a bandwagon chaser and not a gamer.
Am I just fucked from ever playing Blast Corps again or what?
Get House of the Dead all ports of it are shit.
Didn't know 4Golden was rare, got it day 1. and still have to play it. I played 3 / FES and vanilla 4 so much, that Im still burnt out for Persona. Haven't touched 5 either.
Great handheld for weebgames.
From what I gathered online there's only around 3000-5000 copies of Spikeout on the Xbox in existence.
>tfw don't have any of the rare games I had as a kid because I was a poorfag who would have to trade in all my old games+console to be able to even remotely afford the newer consoles
over the years I have had legitimately rare shit like Tombi, high demand stuff like earthbound and all sorts of other games
and all of them were traded in to EB Games for like 5 dollars Credit on the latest console that was out at the time
Besides a 30fps lock I haven't noticed any performance issues the text could've been a bit larger thoigh
Golden is rare? I only paid $18 last year for it
The two rarest games I own are is a loose copy of Metal Storm on the NES, and a complete copy of Suikoden II on PS1.
Maybe he meant the Lim Ed? As I said, I don't know. Got it day 1 myself.
Sealed dot hack part 3 and part 4 for ps2. Seems to be worth around £200+ each on ebay which is nice.
game is fucking great but i hate how MC was fucked over. when is next game coming
The LE seems to be. Remembered seeing it years ago but that was when I viewed Persona as cringe weeb shit so I never touched it.
Haven't got far in it either. Beat probably 2 dungeons and accidentally missed a few social links by ending some days early so I gave up.
I question whether the NA version will ever truly sell at a premium since it's possible to get a physical copy of the game for other regions at a nominal cost. For things like games, isn't the price based partly on the rarity of a specific variant of the game (such as an uncensored copy)? Maybe some variants with bundled doodads might be worth more but outside of this game, I've never seen a game where just a different box results in a large premium.
They did you retard. It even has 4k support.
I have the misspelled "Revelaitons"
Not rare by any means but probably the closest thing to a "rare" vidya I own
Probably this and a sealed Skies of Arcadia Legends are my rarest
Is anyone else trying to snap up vita limited runs? I've been keeping an eye on any that go on sale I wanna get as much stuff as I can for my vita before prices shoot up
youtube.com
nothing elses matters
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and this
I think I have my copy in my house somewhere
Man, your younger self had good taste. I see so many people who grew up with the Saturn post their games and all they own are the games literally all Saturn owners have like Virtua Fighter.
MML trilogy
I had one of these but sold it to gamestop for like $30. I realized later it was selling on Ebay for more than $100
They made two sequels to Magical Marriage Lunatics?
Not really, I love the Vita, but aside from a couple of JRPGs, not a single Lim Run game interests me enough to buy it.
If they had reached an agreement with KT for the Arland Atelier trilogy, Id bought those day 1 though.
They're all only games that were good in the arcade. I want one.
Area 51 in particular is not one that's easy to get a hold of. It was really popular in American arcades and it's actually not easy to come by. The cabinet art is usually in really good condition because a lot of them had a protective enamel on them.
Because the GC version has better controls. I bought the GC version for $40 used a couple years ago and it was worth every penny. One of my all time favorite games.
I haven't seen him in around 15 years, bad luck for me.
Work as a wagie at Gamestop and someone legit traded in a loose cartridge a few months back. Fucking surreal to see one in person.
I have MvC2 digitally on the 360 before it got delisted. Really want it physically. I've been debating for awhile if I should get the OG Xbox or the Dreamcast release. Both aren't cheap nowadays
Seriously?
I see that shit all the time. I'm pretty surprised that somebody brought one into gamestop. Bet you gave him some gamerpoints or whatever you fags do.
Yes, "Less Magic Married People" and "Mundane Divorce Court Alcoholics"
Monopoly money store credit is always worth more than cash for any trade. I told him to try online but he needed immediate $$$. He had a few other gems like one of the Stadium games IIRC.
I'd make some under the table purchases with people trying to sell their games I wouldn't be able to let some of that stuff go on shelves
Retro shit doesn't go on shelf we ship it to the warehouse and they put it up online.
"Immediate cash" at a Gamestop? Would not be surprised if it was all stolen.
California isn't that cheap. Something decent in Silicon Valley (not even Palo Alto) will cost you north of $1.5M USD. That's about $2M CAD.
i have a sealed copy of blackthorne for ms-dos back at my parents house.
>Because the GC version has better controls
Hello retard. Why the fuck would you think controlling a cursor with an analog stick instead of motion is "better"?
I still have mine mint complete, along with some other pricey SNES games like Wild Guns and Pocky & Rocky 2.
I'd still offer slightly over trade in price
factory sealed Suikoden II, I guess. bought it when it came out, lent it to a cousin who lost it and bought me a new copy. I had already beaten it so I never opened the new one.
None. I sold them all to the highest bidder and bought some flashcarts.
I've seen people get rare as fuck complete games through that. It'd really suck if someone handed me some hyper rare Saturn game or some shit and I'd have to turn it in like it's Madden 08'
I have it too user. I make sure if i ever play it I take it out carefully
He wasn't black so no. If you want literal unironic stolen shit let me tell you about the porch monkey bringing in a backpack of untouched PS4 games, controllers, and nintendo switch joycons, which would have been suspicious enough on its own but there was also a target closing down nearby
I had my parents throw out my vast collection of micromachines as I was "too old and didnt need them".
If the prices are anything to go by for random poor condition lots on eBay I would've made a killing selling them on, which is what I was wanting to do in the first place.
Try Venice Beach.
A fucking hovel there would be a mansion in some places.
>2.3M USD for a two bedroom, totally trashed house.
How badly do you want to live in Venice Beach? For fucks sake, Seaside, Oregon is beautiful, but people are pussies and don't like to ever be cold.
Are Sega Saturn games worthy anything at all being that it was a console that didn't sell very well? I bought a Japanese version of the Saturn and I have quite a few games that are in mint condition. Here are the ones that I'm guessing might be more valuable?
1. Grandia
2. Virtua Cop with the black gun
3. Virtual Cop 2 with the black gun
4. NiGHTS with the controller
Free game when you preorder Wind Waker. I was pretty dissapointed with it. I thought Master Quest would be like Majora Mask where its an entirely new game with reused assets instead of just puzzle changes in Ocarina of Time.
I didnt realize it was rare but I guess most people traded it in gamestop or dumped it at a thrift store or garage sale.
I have this and the collector's edition promotional.
Back when the Wii U was "current," Panzer Dragoon Saga was going for roughly $250-300.
Selling your collection I see
>y-yea mane ion even like these
Never opened them up huh?
>naw mane keepin em fresh
Megaman x3 or 7... not sure which one is rarer. I have a bunch for the snes that would be considered rare but have no idea what the production numbers were.
>Lost all my CIB N64 games in a flood years ago
>Saved the moldy carts, but I can't remember what I did with them
>I have Pokemon Yellow CIB somewhere, but not interested in looking for it
depression sucks
Just looked on ebay
SV has communities of people living in their cars. Not hobos, like actual college grads. You can't even make rent alone unless you're at $80k yearly in that area. Cali is all kinds of fucked. That's why I like AZ, it's like the "non coastal California", except with less fees and no DST.
Damn dude that sucks. River flood? Or hurricane shit?
I have MMX3 and 7 as well. CIB, I believe they're each worth upwards of $400.
I keep waiting and it's only getting worse. A lot of the JP games which have been the only cheap games on the Saturn are now getting more expensive as well
Thanks. I'm not looking to sell anything but I was surprised that what was essentially a failed console that actually had OK sales has collectible value. All the games I have are the Japanese edition and I've always been careful with my stuff. Outside of the torn shrink wrap for the CD jewel cases (which I still have), I don't think most people could ever tell that my games were used.
I used to have about 20 or 30 Japanese Mega Drive games all in mint condition, too, but ended up selling them. I have a weird feeling that some of them could be worth a bit.
The worst thing I ever sold were about 20 or so Transformers toys from the 1980s that were in mint condition. I still have the original boxes and little plastic bags. I suspect the most valuable one that I sold was Metroplex. It still had the new toy smell. I also had a triple changer that I'd never seen anywhere. Sandstorm who transformed from dune buggy to helicopter to robot.
Damn. :(
It used to be the only way to obtain Mew without events. Now they give it away for 50 bucks with the pokeball.
that OST kicks asses
Idk about its rarity but I consider it my most rare personally- Game & Watch: Ball from Club Nintendo.
I have these as well. I don't really know how valuable or rare many of my games are because I'd never part with them, though.
Think I have that one too, have the box somewhere for sure, but lost one of my gc game holders, hopefully somewhere hidden in my house.
Area 51 is shit though.
It's a crazy situation. If you work in technology, the jobs, wages, and quality (reputation) of the jobs are best in Silicon Valley. If you work for one of the better companies there, you should be able to make a pretty good sum (and pay through the nose for rent if you didn't buy before 2012) and eventually find work pretty easily in a less expensive state. If you start off in the less expensive states, the jobs suck and none of them have any real cachet on your resume.
Shut your whore mouth it's hilarious.
That's crazy having the boxes. I don't even care about boxes though because I don't have them as shelf queens, I bought them for $5 a piece just so I could play them. Even scored x2 that day as well.
Some 100 year flood 7 or 8 years ago when I use to live in Massachusetts. Had them stored at my parent's house at the time, and they told me that their underground septic pump would care of any flooding
Not that time
>friend is selling NES and games in uni
>Decide to buy them, he says 100 and I have no idea what I'm buying so I agree
>Sold me Zelda 1&2, SMB, Megaman 1-6 and a bunch of other games plus zapper and all that good stuff.
>All 100$
>Mfw I find out the value
They're in big trouble, they just don't know it.
With communications becoming more advanced, the need to be in a large city is decreasing. When people are developing companies, hardware and software without the need to be in a central location, major cities are going to take an extreme economical dive.
I friend told me it was really rare but Im not quite sure, I also have Pokemon Conquest but again, I dont know if its rare. Of old games I only have my PS1 games with Monkey Magic being the most uncommon
>That's crazy having the boxes.
I never intended to be a collector, but I've accumulated a pretty large number of games over the last 30+ years, and I always keep them complete. Although my backlog is admittedly large, I've played most of the 1000+ physical games I own.
i’m upset that i don’t have this anymore
I have bad eyesight, I wear glasses but stuff like Atelier Totori's text hurts my eyes.
Its situations like these that I'm glad to own a Vita TV
From what I remember you were only able to get one through a contest. I somehow got lucky, but I don't really remember what the contest was at this point. I just remember being excited when it arrived. Made it all special when I found out that they only made 200 and I was the lucky one to get one.
I had heard this was rare, but it seems that it's merely slightly uncommon. Even factory sealed, I think you'd be lucky to get more than $60 to $70 for it.
This is rare? I got one, but why is it rare?
US physical version was very limited print and only available through Amazon.
I saw. Kinda makes me feel even more special owning it
Post the snes section. Pls.
Sorry, I've never organized things like a collector. Most of my older stuff is protected in storage closets and inaccessible. I've never had the room to display everything or take pictures. These might be my most valuable SNES games.
> but i hate how MC was fucked over
MC was only fucked over if you didn't get the best ending.
And to add, the SNES portion of my collection is approximately 80 games.
>$19.99
fuck you man, that's insane

THE team buddies for ps1 sitting in my system. This was NOT easy to get.
Doubt any Pokémon title is rare they were all printed like crazy
Did you buy them cib? The only original boxes I have left that didn't get thrown out are all trashed for the most part from using them. The cardboard flaps don't hold up for shit so I just keep them all loose on the shelf. I have about 250 snes, 80 genesis, 70 n64 and like 20 nes.
Primemind
Earthbound in good condition.
Runner up is Sparkster.
KITN happens before riviara which is after KITN and Ygddra union. The MC ends up turning into a fallen angel and hates heaven after se returns for her punishment
Yes, I bought like 99% of my collection factory sealed during original release windows. For games in cardboard boxes, I stored the boxes and manuals separately and kept the games lined up in drawers or in bookcases, then I sealed them back up once I no longer had room for a particular older system and its games.
Would a Japaneses Import be considered rare?
wait, KITN is part of series? thought it was a standalone title.
My dad gave me his copy o Little Samson.
Most expensive game I own.
It's a power game. The infrastructure already exists for people to work remotely but companies mostly do not allow it. Marissa Meyer, when she was CEO of Yahoo, cancelled remote work and forced employees to start showing up at the office. IBM did the same thing.
It's hilarious in a twisted way. Companies are OK with working remotely if you're in India but they won't let you work remotely even if you live in the same city as the office.
Also, your 16-bit collection dwarfs mine. I have about 80 SNES, 20 Genesis, 50 N64, 40 NES.
Do built-in games count?
>Would a Japaneses Import be considered rare?
Not on its own, Ultimate is only $70 new from Japan (Meaning like $86ish when you factor in a middleman and shipping) and eBay constantly has used copies of both Super and Ultimate for $20-40.
amazon.co.jp
There are rare Japanese games and imports but Jump games are definitely not them.
I own the original PC versions of megaman X4 and X5,the collector's edition of the metroid prime triology, and a reproduction cartidge of a hacked tales of phantasia for SNES. What do I win?
I think so, sure.
>wait, KITN is part of series? thought it was a standalone title.
it is a series called Dept. Heaven. it goes
Blaze union
>fallen angel(Nessiah) tells male lover(Gulcasa) to start a war because of another kingdom fucking them over.
>they pick up people along the way including Luciana and Aegina who are the children of the king and Yggdra's sisters abandon by the father
>power of friendship wins but just like in yggdra union they invade.
yggdra union
>Yggdra, queen of the kingdom runs for her life, escapes, meets new friends, kills Gulcasa friends and sister and invades Gulcasa homelands while killing everyone good and bad
>Nessiah tells them he tricked both sides to power a sword that feeds off of murder so he can kill an angel in heaven who banished him for being nice.
>gets killed at the gates to heaven
>female angel from KITN goes and stops the humans from entering heaven, but demands the Gran Centurio which was made by a fallen angel to kill gods
>you can kill her(non canon), invade and fight the first proto grim angel or give the sword and being queen
KITN
>Marietta(MC) splits self in half for power? (may be using Gran Centurio)
>regrets it and fixes things
>says she will go back to heaven to repent
riviara
>heaven is fucked
>all the gods are dead
>angels magi in charge and they are evil
>hector, the one responsible for doing everything including banishing Marietta and making her a fallen angel and also making Nessiah evil sends grim angels to do shit
>they rebel
>the fight the most strongest demons in the island keeping the gate to the underworld open
>one of them is the girl from KITN. you kill her
>kill hector
end
need to sleep so i had to type fast but i hope you liked it
probably a 1.0 version copy of super smash brothers melee
