I've pirated a lot of games and haven't felt bad but after downloading Hollow knight I've felt guilt almost immediately and bought it. This game is lit.

Love this game but I am still burnt the fuck out on it after Godmaster. They can take their time with Silksong.

I wish I could unbuy it

Been doing that with a lot of indie shit lately too.
>hollow knight
>rabi-ribi
>baba is you
>some zachtronics stuff
>will buy shovel knight when i feel like replaying it
>return of the obra dinn
Feels dirty to not buy if it's a good game. Waiting for a sale is a good enough compromise sometimes too.

I somewhat feel the same. It was promising during the first couple hours, but the more I played, the more bored I got.

Godmaster's the only thing I have left and I can't be fucking bothered.

Elaborate

Epic posts, be sure to collect youe $200 when you pass go with your anti shill boss

Got tired of the art style. Areas began to feel samey, making it a slog to get through. Not even the superb boss battles could make up for it.

How far did you get?

>got tired of the art style
Are all the games you play, like, ten minutes long?

Literally not even memeing, but sounds like a you problem, not a problem with the game.
Minecraft for example, is pretty fucking repetitive as hell and nobody complains about that. Metroid fusion areas were all similar, using the same blocks and colors for all of the game in specific areas and that game is considered great for a metroidvania. Same for super metroid.

You're not talking to fucking reddit, you retard. How could you possibly think you would fit in by using this word? Are you literally 60 years old looking at a fucking spreadsheet of what children say?

>How could you possibly think you would fit in by using this word?
Maybe he isn't trying to fit in user. Maybe he's not a faggot concerned with the opinions of others

Not that far. I uninstalled the game so I can't say specifically. I stopped playing sometime after beating Soul Master.

Just finished the true ending a few hours ago after a long hiatus.

It's a very good game but it can be a slog to play sometimes, and I think the game outstay its welcome.

Also being able to place a teleporter anywhere AND that abyss stag station are some fucking godsend, that stuff missing at launc made the game absolutely unsufferable.

Which means he came from Reddit. Reminder that Reddit is literally communist, and they want you to fucking die at the hands of niggers.

Well that's definitely far enough to know if you like the game.

It's good, but I just can't get into it. The map system ruins it for me. I love how Metroid and Castlevania update your map in real time and you can tell when you've fully explored a room, or missed a door. Hollow Knight first requires me to stumble upon the map guy and then find a save point every time I want to see where I've been. The feeling of going in completely blind is neat at first, but it just got on my nerves after a few areas. It just seems like a lot of unnecessary work for something that has been automatic since the first Metroid.

Get a load of this sekrit club newfag, projecting because you're fresh from the Donald or whatever. Kys

I think you're meant to burn out at some point, especially with Godmaster.
First major attempt I did normal ending, months later I did the Radiance ending.
Came back later and did three pantheons of Godmaster. Some day I'll come back and get pissed off and leave after the fourth.
You're not meant to truly complete everything unless you're actually a beast.

I have literally no idea what you're talking about.

Agreed.
Also, movement mechanics needed work.

I really liked the game but I think it's the perfect example of a game trying to be too "tryhard".

Slow map exploration, blind exploration, player marker on the map is actually a charm you have to equip, add to this the rather fierce enemies difficult to dodge at first, and it can make the map exploration very tedious. Especially when you have to go back yourself to a stag station (No memory ticket a la sotn).

I think they just wanted to pack in the most shit from dark souls / castlevania and add a hefty dose of "lmao hard" they could but it wasn't a very effective recipe imo.
The game is trying to be everything at the same time and it doesn't really work.
