Not him, but this confuses the fuck out of me. It feels so weird to only move one hand and if I move both it feels off because one isn't registering my movements.

There's nothing to it, you just gotta move your right hand. It helps if you jack the sensitivity up too, so all you need are subtle wrist movements.

t. 1200 hours here. It's better since if you're moving only one hand your other hand doesn't get messed up and input the wrong commands. Once you get used to it it leaves you more free to do more complicated movements.

I would see this as a bad thing. Doing larger motions allows more precision. You can still move your hands plenty fast over the required distance, so it is not like analog stick where having an effective lower sensitivity puts you are at an disadvantage. OP's problem is most likely . The wireless speed of the Wii U pad is noticeably better. It takes a while to adjust.

Yeah the gyro on the switch seems more finicky. I played Splat 1 for a bit a few months ago and noticed how much more stable my recital was when using scoped chargers.
Might just be because the wii u gamepad is the size of a steering wheel, though.

I don't see how moving you're hands could mess you up. There is really no benefit to separated or non separated really which ever you prefer. However there is a benefit to using the Pro control over the joy cons since it has far better triggers.

Yeah, they added quite a bit since Splatoon 1. Most people thought it would just be a port but they put in a lot of different shit. Gyro sucks compared to 1's gyro but its still better than stick controls. Play salmon run, shit's fun.

Overall gyro got a slight tech nerf considering the WiiU pad had more space than a Joycons
Overall the game is more balanced than Splat 1 considering how fucking everything was broken
Splat 2 has a lot more tips, tricks and tools than Splat 1 in my opinion
