it's ok, true collect fags buy a physical copy, leave it sealed in plastic, and then buy the digital copy to play

>1To
what's this?

It's french for 1TB, 1 totalbiscuit. RIP.

Imagine being this retarded

Damn. I buy physical copies but I'm not even close to being THAT autistic

I actually have a friend that unironically do this, has a massive collection completely untouched games

sometimes even bought 2 physical copies (one to play, and one to keep)

does not seem to have any remote intention of ever selling anything too

I actually have the Xbox one S. Picked up after I moved out. Has a nice controller

someone post the redditor destroying a collector item for his mediocre subpar computer lmao

It's an investment, go ahead and give your money to jews I'm retiring on videogames.

Hopefully it flops so I can get one for cheap

Attached: 1549332141332.jpg (1438x1080, 400K)

The pricepoint on this better be sub $300. Can't you get an Xbox one S for 250 rn? There's no reason why a digital only version should be more expensive

With the Xbox Ultimate Pass that's been leaking i could see this actually working

>14.99 a month for Game Pass and Gold
>Get a cheap ass Xbone that streams Xcloud, plays Xbone, plays Fortnite, Minecraft, FIFA

it's a decent prospect for the US market

>Digital only
>1tb
They cant keep getting away with this

>200$ wich is the normal price for a Xbone these days
>1TB wich only lets you install about 10 games
>dont have access to certain games that use licensed anything (Forza Horizon 2 for example)
nice one MS

It's probably a way to get rid of xboxs s.

>$250

Good to see MS hasn't learned its pricing errors yet. Cucklett will be another flop.

If you wait until the console is replaced by a new generation, sealed copies of games can become a goldmine.

Go look up how much a sealed copy of Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for GCN goes for.

>Such a worthless console they need to list disc free gaming as a feature 3 times on the same side of the box

I got an S off Ebay for 145 even. Brand new 1tb models can be found for 200 easily.

As opposed to buying physical so you can smell and lick a useless disk? Any sort of buying physical is retarded.

I haven't had a disc drive on my pc for years. Its about time consolefags caught up

Attached: martian terrain.jpg (3273x3417, 1.99M)

I bought a game 10 years ago
That I can put into my xbox one
which proceeds to download it for free
How is that retarded user kun?

>XBONE SAD

Attached: 543765897076855.jpg (236x236, 8K)

First they went gameless only makes since to go discless

>implying you knew that this exception would be made available when you bought the game
what shitty bait, do me another stupid response and you're not getting any more (You)s

PS3- It only does everything
Xbox SAD- It doesn't do anything

>caught up

You're regressing

>It includes Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and fucking Forza Horizon 3 instead of 4
>instead they could have bundled it with a year of game pass sub
That would move those things. Drop 200 bucks on the console and you would pretty much be set for a year and not even have to buy anything else.

Attached: gpapril.jpg (940x528, 154K)

Reminder the PS4 can't play Blu-ray movies

it can tho, what it can't is 4K blu-ray which a lot of people expected would be added on PS4 pro but wasn't

>Mutts are so retarded the box needs to say the same thing thrice to make the message go through their skull

I got my S for 190 dollars new, granted it was on sale but still I'd imagine a diskless Xbone being 150-199.

You wanna run that post through me one more time?

I do this
>tfw have a sealed box copy of Jojo EoH and it's already worth loads in UK because the game sold like shit and barely had any copies drop here

Made me chuckle. Have a (you).

>Euro is so retarded he can't see that it clearly says it six times.

>this exception
Nigger, backwards compatibility was the standard for as long as disc-based systems have been around, the fuck are you talking about?

>data stored on physical CDs is somehow different than data stored on a hard drive

t. zoomer

>n...no that doesn't count! I don't like this example!
Steam cucks are pathetic.

this is me too, i know you'll get a lot of shit for saying this but this is the best way - i also buy 2 of every system i own, i get one at launch and then when the system is about to be out of production i tend to buy the last model or so and leave it in the box till my launch version dies, i have a sealed ps1-2-3-4 in my closet just waiting for the day my OG systems stop working.

Attached: 1502509956553.gif (642x414, 3.35M)

if it was a cart it would be, carts aren't affected by rotational velocidensity unlike hard drives, which applies if games are using lossy compression

although CDs will come to deal with disc rot sooner or later either way

He is prob 10. You could play OG Xbox games on the 360. But he doesn't know that. The playstation systems as well.

isn't that only on certain discs due to the quality of the disc, like gamecube games are prone to disc rot i hear even though i have a few and they are perfectly fine - if it takes 50 years to even begin to rot i don't think it's much of a worry cuz i'll be 80 by then.

If you believe this is good for consumers you're beyond saving. This is Microsoft's evil mastermind all profit Scambox DRM nightmare machine. Holy shit imagine having to be forced into buy games from digital store that never have sales, old games are still $60, it takees forever for games to price drop, if ever. Xbox live sales are less frequent and bigger rip off, PSN sales are often legit and almost weekly. You save a few bucks without a discdrive but you pay out the ass in digital content and service, it's the ultimate greedy corporate Jew gaming device, they got you by the balls

Did Europe get eoh physicals?

Very sparse, me and my buddy both got copies

>First console breaks down from years of use
>Go to replace it with new console from closet
>New console has already broken from lack of use

Of the 863 games released for the original Xbox in North America you could play about 300, and even then it was hardly perfect.

>Vidya investments
Shiggy diggy

Not an investment. More of a bank deposit with strong interest rates.

>see the price
>is about the same a normal S version

What the fuck? If I wanted a S version I would get the normal one to replay my og xbox games

>it's 2025
>the servers are closed down and your console is basically a paperweight whilst hundreds in purchases are lost

"Gamers" are among the most feckless, gullible consumer-drones

Attached: Grinman.jpg (600x791, 426K)

That's not streaming tho?

I'm buying digital on all platforms.

>that limited "backwards compatibility" on the Xbone
>next console that's released it won't work anymore
>tries to call someone else 10 year old with these pathetic """"""""""arguments""""""""""""

Attached: 1329250042765.jpg (256x276, 21K)

Streaming is a similar tactic, but at least a subscription model you go into understanding you don't purchase individual films or shows normally.

Also I don't think Netflix has DLC for retards who spend hundreds on custom skins. Basically video gaming is even more of an oligarchy than other media forms and a lot of the consumers are easily parted with their capital.

>I'm buying digital on all platforms.
Soulless and tying games to a single account is not very smart user. Also it is pretty much confirmed next gen ps4/xbone games will work.

Have fun paying full retail for a game that came out five years ago.

>Soulless
meaningless for one such as myself which only cares about playing videogames and not about licking plastic

>and tying games to a single account is not very smart user.
why?

>Also it is pretty much confirmed next gen ps4/xbone games will work.
source?

This. Not to mention the Xbone HD remake of [game] will be replaced by a slightly different HD remake on the next console's marketplace, rendering your purchase worthless.

>licking plastic
You really think this is why people buy physical? Not because shit can get taken off the online store? Licences expiring and copyrights are a thing.
>and tying games to a single account is not very smart user.
I honestly feel like I shouldn't have to explain this. Not the way console makers can just up and about ban your account for no reason.
>Also it is pretty much confirmed next gen ps4/xbone games will work.
MS has been pushing bc this gen no way is Sony going to fall behind. There is no more "cell" either to bs customers. Either way we will know by next year and whetever it is physical or digital you should be able to play what you already own exceptions aside (read above)

>licking plastic

Not part of your conversation but you mean "actually owning the media you have purchased forever instead of your access purely being at the whim of how the billionaires running your marketplace feel in a few years".

triggers me since I use gamefly

what am I going to do now?

>Not because shit can get taken off the online store? Licences expiring and copyrights are a thing.
I can just pirate in that case. Also, can you show me some examples of that happening?

> Not the way console makers can just up and about ban your account for no reason.
If you're going to be retarded, I'll play along: the disk can scratch and stop working

>blabla bla bla bla
so, no source then, good

I only care about playing the game, if you're buying to resell you're not a collector anyways

jesus christ, you people are pathetic, step it up with your arguments, you guys' posts are embarassing to read, if you're just going to ramble around with dumb shit just stop replying to me altogether

Attached: 1339565874422.jpg (380x245, 9K)

It depends on the quality of manufacture, and the type of disc. Older CDs/Laserdiscs are quite fragile because of often shit manufacturing, and the fact that the data layer is at the very top of the disc. DVD and onwards have a protective layer above the data which makes them much more durable.

I might be one of the people that like buying physical but if we have to move to digital only next gen I wouldn't mind just give me enough storage, except when they decide to pull games from the store. then I'll mind

If you're enough of a windowlicker that scratching a disk to the point it's unplayable is a genuine risk, loaning games off megacorps is probably best for you, friend.

Enjoy trying to fill your empty void with new game after new game.

I can just pirate everything

>Also, can you show me some examples of that happening?
I'm not spoonfeeding you.
>the disk can scratch and stop working
When's the last time you bought a disc? BD are hard to scratch to the point you purposely have to take out a wire brush to scratch them. If you aren't a child (I honestly think you are) your media should be fine.
You are trolling and I'm not bored enough to continue replying but have a good Saturday user while you buy games full price and give into corporate dicks. If what you said was true mr "I buy digital on all systems sucker".

Attached: succ it.png (484x268, 183K)

Same, which is permanent ownership not these consumer-drone marketplace models.

I like the idea, but I wonder if I will be able to play the games offline, and the news I read it says it'll cost $250, at that price I can buy a used xbox one S with a bunch of games.

>I'm not spoonfeeding you.
None exist. You cannot prove it, because they don't exist. Burden of proof falls upon the one who made the claim. Either prove it, or shut your little trap.

>When's the last time you bought a disc? BD are hard to scratch to the point you purposely have to take out a wire brush to scratch them. If you aren't a child (I honestly think you are) your media should be fine.
Same with the digital account. Provided you're not going around yelling niggers on servers, you should be fine.

>You are trolling and I'm not bored enough to continue replying but have a good Saturday user If what you said was true mr "I buy digital on all systems sucker".
Look who's talking. I'm glad you won't be typing any more bullshit anymore, replying to these pathetic attempts at making arguments is as sad as it is tiring.

>while you buy games full price and give into corporate dicks.
If I do it because I choose to buy certain games digitally, then so do you because you also give them money.

I just fucking said before that you shouldn't even reply if you're not going to even try making any logical argument. Just stay quiet next time so you can save yourself from being embarassed. Fortunately you're anonymous so you don't have to deal with losing face, and you can just shut up now. I've seen better arguments coming from the mouth of RELIGIOUS PEOPLE. Like, I WON'T PROVIDE PROOF? SERIOUSLY? THAT is your argument? UHHH U CAN GET BENT AND LOSE ALL YOUR GAMES? Ho ly shit. I take that back, comparing you to religious people is an offense to religious people, at least they try to believe their bullshit, you just say whatever you want and then runs away when you notice you can't provide any source.

Attached: 1346798526545.png (594x397, 78K)

>>dont have access to certain games that use licensed anything (Forza Horizon 2 for example)
This vindicates the piratefags. Sorry moralfags but "just buy it in the past bro" isn't an argument.
Forza Horizon 1 & 2, GTA Vice City/Sand Andreas/IV with original soundtrack and no cut content, The Pinball Arcade

Attached: pirate.jpg (293x208, 26K)

Just buy the fucking game cases and print the cover. They're not that hard to find online.

Attached: For what reason.gif (320x240, 1.27M)

Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions was taken off the online store. That Scott Pilgrim game got taken off the store.

And before you say "shit games, lmao" you asked for examples, you got them.

Imagine buying a machine that has all the cons of PC gaming with none of the pros

I see, so I can't download them and play them anymore if I bought them? Or I can't just download them, but I can play them if I have it downloaded?

Are you fucking retarded?

If you downloaded them before they were taken out, you can still play them. Think of it like that Silent Hills teaser (PT) on PS4, if you delete it from your drive is bye bye for you.

I actually do this :^)

My ISP put a data cap on my plan recently. Fuck this shit. Corporations fuck off

You can redownload delisted games that you purchased.
This is more of a problem for streaming games. License expired? Okay we delete it from the server now nobody can play it ever again.

>and print the cover.
>Implying you'll get the same quality.
>Implying you'll get the same proper cut.
>Implying game covers online aren't at horrible resolutions.
>Implying they don't have scrubbed UPC codes at times.
Printing your own cover is a pain in the ass. You have to fit it right, you have to get the right paper, you have to make sure the UPC is fine, you have to make sure it prints correctly, and so on. God forbid you have a double-sided one.

finally, a platform where you'll always have to pay full price even for old releases, thanks microsoft

>Think of it like that Silent Hills teaser (PT) on PS4,
That was free. I don't think digital stores can take away your ability to download a game you bought.

Streaming is the absolute cancer.
>delay for playing single player games
>streamlining experiences so you're not able to customize shit
>no modding
>if it's a subscription thing, it can take away games
>the absolute DRM: all you get is images and sounds, no files, completely destroying preservation/curation of videogames and offline play

I've seen threads on Yea Forums trying to bring attention to Google Stadia, I honestly hope they're either trolls or shills and nothing else. If streaming is ever successful, it'll be the end of vidya. It's been hindered enough in all these years by consoles, but there have been workarounds like emulation, but nothing compared to streaming-exclusive games.

Attached: 1339104329730.gif (200x174, 2.21M)

>I can just pirate in that case
So why buy digital at all? Why are you paying the middleman in the first place if you're going to pirate it anyway?

I feel like for pc, going digital is fine, I haven't had a disc drive for a while now as well, but I do like to have physical copies for my ps2, xbox 360, I do think that consoles have to keep on using discs, otherwise what;s the point, mind as well play on pc, I like to just plug in my ps2, put a disc in and play, with the ps4/XBO you put the disc in and MUST download a big ass update, what is the fucking point then

you can get an xbox one s for $200 on sale from time to time

>and MUST download a big ass update
No you don't. You have a choice to download that update. You can literally pause or cancel them and still play.

>So why buy digital at all?
To give money to the companies who made and published the game.

>Why are you paying the middleman in the first place if you're going to pirate it anyway?
I'm definetly giving a bigger cut to them than if I bought physical, my dude. And if I feel like the game doesn't deserve the money, I can just choose to pirate it. I've pirated like 3 games in the last 10 years, though (Mass Effect 3 and Skyward Sword). I mean, I pirated a ton of 3DS games too, but that was because it was so. much. more. convenient. than buying, it's just too hard for me to ignore piracy in that case. Hell, I even pirated games I had already bought before, too, because it was so fucking convenient (like Super Mario 3D Land).

You can't readily purchase last gen 360-PS3 Arcade games like The Simpsons, Games are out of Print like JoJo's Bizarre adventure Godzilla has been removed completely off PSN,entire shops have been discontinued like Wii ware making Castlevania Rebirt inaccessible
