Almost guaranteed it has been aging alowly as time goes on. In the early 2000s, younger people were more technologically adept and used the internet more, now those younger people are getting older and it's becoming more normalized for middle aged people to be 'power-users' of internet and technology.

It has been getting older for sure. It was very rare back in 2007 for people to admit they were in their late 20's, 30's etc. on Yea Forums but it's becoming more and more of a common thing, even after accounting for more users in general.
