When the chorus kicks in on Ending E of Nier: Automata is 1 of 2 times I got misty eyed.
The other being when Snake salutes BB's grave in MGS4, but the following 5 minutes of that ending ruin the feeling.

An odd one, but still good; If you ever played Assassins Creed Origins. After you kill The Lizard, Bayek is severely poisoned and dying. He hallucinates walking through afield, chasing his late son. The sound cuts off completely silent as he holds his son and he whispers in his ear. It really took me by surprise that an AC game was so well wrote.

Notail (guy in interview) was life long friends with the guy at the bottom, fly.
Basically, their esports team was total shit, came in the worst tournament spots you could imagine, it was hell but supposedly they were all sticking it out for friendship.
Then, during the season to qualify for Ti (the big dota tournament) Fly without a word to his team abandoned them, took one of the members and split to join EG, because of this, notail's team OG almost couldn't qualify in time because they had like only 2 weeks to find replacement players.
They grabbed some literal who from australia and some rando who's only ever played casual dota and not pro dota, he was also notorious for being shit at the game.
In spite of this, notail's team ended up wracking up win after win until he had to face down his former childhood friend and not only did he beat them, notail and his team went on to win the entirety of ti and several million dollars in prize money.

Soul Sacrifice is exacty that, you hunt down former sorcerers who degenerated into demons or people possessed by demons, you fuck them up real good and learn their gimmicks like in a Megaman game.
You can do all sorts of things, use your blood sprays as claws to rip and tear, cast fist in the literal sense and in more ways that you can imagine, summon golems, alter weather, create all sorts of weaponry from fire swords to magical rocket punches, turn yourself into a goddamn boulder and slam yourself onto things, grow trees and whatever else you can think of.
And if this isn't enough you can combine different spells, either alone on in multiplayer, and you also have a literal infinite dungeon where you can challenge yourself and see how deep you can go, either in multiplayer or on your own.
The arenas also have different gimmicks to them depending on how you interact with them, one arena for instance has magnetized spheres that alter your movement and suck you in their proximity, another arena gets flooded with lava if you shake things up too much while another turns on itself like a box, changing the field completely, and all those arenas also have their own magic sources you can use to cast spells without using your own resources, it's all pretty interactive.

Then, depending on whether you save or sacrifice your targets you will evolve in different ways, get access to different inherent bonuses etc, you even physically alter your appearances if you save or sacrifice too much, there's also a wide range of costume's available, you can even cosplay as Knight Blazer if you feel like it.
Again, it's a great game, one of the very few games that have a suprisingly great execution in all elements, from gameplay to visuals, writing and music, there's really no weak points despite a few flaws here and there, like all games.

Shame that Verus was such a tedious boss, but the true last boss easily made up for it.
Both of the games have flaws, but also great art direction and music as well as at least one kino plot twist. Origins was better overall though for the improved battle system and actual characterization for the party members. Guillo is STILL one of my favorite party members from any JRPG.
