the only thing holding skyrim up is it's great atmosphere which is mostly just thanks to the soundtrack, it disappoints in every other way though. cities are small, world is small, dungeons are small and linear, all rpg elements and choice is stripped down and the portrayal of the nords and skyrim itself was disappointing.
I wish we got the skyrim that looks like adam adamowicz's concept art, which looks vast, colourful and fantastical, as well as the crpg and fantasy life sim design philosophy of Arena to Daggerfall. maybe it's too much to technically ask for, but what we got was just so grey and diluted.

I’ve put hundreds of hours in Skyrim on console and the pc, it was a great experience. Only thing that really ticked me off first playthrough was the thieves guild quest bugged at the beginning and I couldnt finish it for the longest time.
