Nice
No one ever asks you what your favourite game is
Never fails.
>driving monologues which are basically SWERY telling you about movies he likes
Peak comfy
exactly
Good taste.
Pretty acceptable answer desu
>mfw playing this game and being named Zach
Trying to get through the game without it crashing and having to restart chapter was quite a journey, i spent so much time on this game i could never forget it.
Wouldnt you agree, Zach?
must be pretty trippy
>Francis York Morgan will never call you Zach.
Why even live bros...
shame the publishers or whoever told SWERY he had to add those shitty action sequences, the dialogue and characters are fucking bonkers and 10/10
Deadly Premonition is definitely in my top 5, but Killer7 is the one I love to talk about as a favorite.
>tfw name is Zack
It's not fair, bros. I was so close...
They ever patched the PC version?
I remember just giving up on my 15th crash.
>k
Don't ever reply to me again
Stopped backing kickstarter games, but I felt like it's my duty to back the good life.
Have you played Flower Sun and Rain by any chance?
There's DPfix, but I can't remember if that's just visual improvements. The 360 version is definitely the most stable. It doesn't have the dirictor's cut cutscenes, but they don't add anything anyway.
It's the only Kickstarter I've backed. Honestly I don't think the game is looking like anything special, but I love the updates of Swery's trip around the UK, seeing as I live there.
no, you'll be crashing a lot on modern machines also save files can corrupt out of nowhere the aiming is broken unless you use XP compatibility mode but the compatibility mode will not allow to progress due to crashes so you'll have to constantly save and switch between XP-W7 compatibility modes
I heard they planned on remastering it but I'm not sure when that's going to happen. I did play through Silver Case and 25th Ward though. Probably got spoiled a bit with Sumio in the 25th ward because it happened after FSR.
you and me both
Deadly Premonition is the best game of the decade. One of the few games to use cutscenes to great effect.
So is D4 ever going to be finished?
Is this game worth playing? It's been sitting on my steam for ages. Is it so bad it's good kind of thing?
the steam version is A PAIN if you can try getting any other version(360 is the most stable)
sort of. That doesn't really do it justice though. If it has been sitting in your steam library, just try it out and see for yourself. It's definitely a unique experience.
It’s so bad it’s good and actually good at the same time.
>Yea Forums hates movie games
>defends this movie game, where the gameplay is literally insufferable
fucking weebs....
How can a game be so bad but so good at the same time?
>Yea Forums is one person
Would you look at that, Zach? A faggot in this thread!
It is a great game
>So bad it's good
No. It's genuinely good just very flawed.
The use of cutscenes is different in DP than in movie games.
>where the gameplay is literally insufferable
Unpleb yourself
>fucking weebs....
but the game is true america
t. yuro trash
No chance
the only game where you're off better watching a playthrough on youtube.
>gameplay is just combat
You're only confused because of your own stupidity. Consider for a second all of the games Yea Forums enjoys that do not have, or are not centered around combat. Consider all of DP that does not revolve around fighting.
>Unpleb yourself
so what did you like? the shooting? the driving? the running? the horrid game levels? get a reality check weeb
wrong. it's not a walking sim
nobody ever asks OP a thing, he is alone in his basement
>missing the opportunity to lose your self in a small town setting with eccentric characters by being pulled around by the whims of an isolated third party
That's a pretty stupid opinion.
The gameplay is mediocre and repetitive, but it's still worth playing for yourself. Same with Nier.
The unique surreal atmosphere created by the visual design, the music, the sound effects. And the driving is excellent
nah it's definitely worth experiencing for yourself
>so bad it’s good
Stop. This shit is aped from tasteless morons
This game is genuinely good and has a bizarre and charming world that is both wonderful and strange.
It's worse than a walking sim gameplay wise.
>The gameplay is mediocre and repetitive
it's almost unplayable. Once I got to the hotel and saw those big ass halls I got physically sick.
This game is an experience unlike any other.
When I played it on W7 the only consistent crashing I got was around the art gallery "otherworld" or whatever they refer to the hellscape as in game. If I took too long outside looking for cards or whatever during this one particular part the game would crash. Otherwise it was seemingly random when it would crash, but extremely long loading times were commonplace.
so movie games are good?
>see
Just because you are unfamiliar with games that do not revolve around combat does not mean they are all movie games. That you personally do not like games that do not revolve around combat also does not mean they are objectively bad.
but the combat isn't the only thing that sucks, the level design sucks, it's padded out, the driving sucks, running sucks. And you're a detective but you as a player don't solve anything by yourself, you just pull a switch or two at best. I mean I like DP very much, I'm just pointing these stuff out.
So ignoring the argument and completely missing the depth of the game's narrative is good?
I recommend supergreatfriend's LP, he does very good commentary and shows everything there is to show.
>And you're a detective but you as a player don't solve anything by yourself
It's almost as if that isn't the point of the game
There isnt really much else like it. I would play it just for how unique it is. You can easily get unlimited ammo guns as well. You dont have to rush to the next main objective and can just go around and do whatever you want.
>>it's almost unplayable. Once I got to the hotel and saw those big ass halls I got physically sick.
There's no forced zombie shooting section in the hotel, and it's not even that big. The only reason to explore all of it is to get the cards or look at the cool local history exhibition above the foyer.
You bring up all those points but say nothing about the QTEs. QTEs with inputs that make no sense in relation to what's going on on screen, and god help you should you try and play the game only with kb+m. This isn't even considering that most of the QTEs never have the same inputs for any two given attempts
>Driving sucks
In what sense
I enjoy the game because I enjoy driving around the town doing quests for all of the characters. Everything is well spaced, I enjoy the hygiene mechanics, I enjoy that many of the quests give unique rewards, and many of the quests do not revolve around combat but on driving around town which compliments the driving and OST.
The combat is bad, but that does not make the rest of the game any less enjoyable for me. I'm also a sucker for collectible cards.
Gameplay encompasses a lot of elements. If they make a seemingly minor design decision, like having to shave, that's gameplay.
Pic related has bad combat. It's also one of the most celebrated games on Yea Forums
