Sheep Raider emulates classic American cartoons better than a vast majority of 3D games both visually and mechanically, has a unique blend of Platforming, Inventory-based puzzles, Physics-based puzzles, and Stealth, and while it has nothing to do with aging the OST is tremendous.

I agree but I think it's mostly a controls issue, the PS1 had no joystick for a few years which caused a major problem for 3d games but even then people were still figuring out the best layout for double joysticks and very few got it right.
Pretty much all the most memorable games of that era were 2d or rpgs in which controls weren't aren't an issue.
Just ask anybody that remembers ps1 games fondly and very few will ever give you one that is a full 3d game.

The 2D games didn't age poorly. SotN and the Suikoden games are still some of the best 2D games ever made. Though I'm sure you'll claim all 2D games are shit just to cling to your point.

The 3D games didn't age either. The 3D graphics were bad even when the PS1 was the latest thing. Especially any game focused on pre rendered backgrounds.
