This is the perfect c-button setup

You may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like.

switch the bombs for the ocarina and you'd be 100% right

It's weird how the N64 has the most annoying joystick yet the most satisfying C-buttons of any controller

Gotta agree with this

>Ocarina on anything but C-down
It is the eponymous and most unique item in the game, and therefore, deserves its permanent spot on the most unique C button, C-down.
Anything else is treason, even when the game manually equips the Ocarina elsewhere after you become an adult.
It's worse than having sword on the A button in Link's Awakening. Everybody knows this.

What makes C-down unique?

C-left and C-right are a pair on the same axis, whereas C-down is by itself, as far as C items go. You could argue that it is paired with the first person view button (C-up), and you'd be right, but this only lends to C-down's uniqueness.

Basically this.
And switch hookshot and bow positions.

>sword on A button
Please tell me there aren't "people" who actually do this

C-left and c-down rest on the length of the thumb, making it easier by default to use them. C-right is the inconvenient option.

Ocarina C-right, furthest from thumb
Bow C-down, closest to thumb
Hookshot C-left

Bow C-right
Ocarnia C-down
Hoockshot C-left

There certainly are. All my brothers did this and it drove me crazy. It is the default position for the Sword, so it is technically "canon".
This is the first good argument I've heard in favor of Ocarina being on C-right. It really sets C-right apart from the rest, and is a more ergonomic, rather than geometric or pattern-oriented, approach.
Very convincing argument. Tremendous.

anyone complaining about C-right is a fucking handlet

>No fire arrows

yikes

>also
i've lost count on how many times i re-play OoT/MM with this c-setup, 10 to 12 y.o me replayed OoT over 200 times... i wish i was memeing about this

>over 200 times
Same brother.
I fell off for a few years, but Randomizers and netplay have really reinvigorated my interest.

We live in a western world, where we read from left to right and from top to down. This means, that C-Left should have the first and most important item, which is the Ocarina of Time.

C-Down symbolizes the down movement, so it should be the hammer or the bombs, affecting the rocks on the ground or the rusted switches.

Lastly, C-Right stands for an arrow going away, so it would only be fitting to put the bow & arrows here. When needed, the hookshot also does the trick.

Anything else, and you' re a fag.

Sword A, shield B
git gud scrubs

All of this. 10 million percent.

this man gets it. c left and c right are like the x and y buttons on a traditional controller, while c right is out of your way.

you know what user. its been a couple of years, time to give the best game ever made another run.

A for attack, B for block
